Haha maybe we can talk about our love story at some point. Stay tuned:)
I love the clean shaven and well-groomed Korean men. I believe it is not about the masculine look so much, but more about the masculine way of thinking. I think most Korean men are similar to other men elsewhere in the world in this aspect.
Yes right~
Your English is really good👍😊
Thank you:)
When we came to visit last month I came to visit an ortho clinic for my back pain. I was surprised to see how good the doctor was and the diagnosis was really quick (x-ray) considering that it was a clinic not a hospital.
Yes, glad you enjoyed the first class medical treatment of Korea. Yes, foreign tourists can enjoy thr great benefits!
Sean, whatever you're doing, I need to do too, so I can find a wife as lovely as Jin. You're my new hero!
Haha thanks. Tip: Try to find a gem at a church:)
Thank you for the information about korean culture, looking forward next content about korea 🥰
You bet! Thank you:)
Thank you for the video. By the way, you are both really good looking people. Both of you. Edit: And also super cute when interacting with each other.
Thank you, we appreciate it!
Yum!!!!
Really enjoyed your video thankyou xx
Glad you enjoyed it!
Mulțumesc frumos!✨️🍀
Thanks!
I enjoyed your video very much especially since I am a big fan of KDramas and have watched over a hundred. I like that they are usually wrapped up in about 16 episodes and the stories are interesting, so much of what you see in the U.S. is repetitive and it seems there are no new ideas to explore.
Thank you! We're glad you enjoyed it
Jen looks so young 😢😅
Haha yes she looks younger than her age. In fact, many Koreans look younger than their real age~
@abitdifferentkoreans nd me at 18 look 24 😭
@abitdifferentkoreans but uhh look ajushi 😂 sry don't mind
Crying and expressing emotions is NOT feminine!
Yes agreed!
I think you answered all my questions in this video. Thank you I really like your language, I started learning korean, so I can watch movies without subtitles. You two are lovely. Good luck ❤
Thank you:)
Wow! I still wonder why the bites are so big! Some of that food never hits the taste buds. Is that a thing historically too? Was it just more convenient to eat things wrapped in a leaf, since chopsticks were really the only utensils?
The act is called 'Ssam' and Koreans eat lettuce wrap when eating bbq meat. It's healthy when you eat meat with vegies. Once you try it, I'm sure you can't go back:)
@abitdifferentkoreans It looks delicious but that's still a large mouthful😮
I love that the first two side dishes are vegan! PLANTS ONLY.
Yes many Korean dishes are vegan:)
Awesome video! I'm going to share with my husband at dinner tonight. ;-)
Haha thanks!
It's probably just my idea, but it seems to me that Korean culture lends itself very well to creating media content that fits well with the model of the so-called hero's journey of Vogler. And, of course, emphasizing the customs and traditions increases the engaging effect on the viewers. 👋🏻 from Italy
Yes, thanks! Btw, we visited Italy too. Loved it. Will post videos as well~
@@abitdifferentkoreans I will be happy to watch it! I live in Milan, one of the fashion centers in Europe, during fashion week almost all the testimonials are Korean, both K pop and actors & actresses. Hallyu is a fact, and soft power certainly exists!
You guys are great! I loved watching the meal making and the food looks amazing.. thank you for answering all those questions too.. keep it up!
Thank you!
Did you try RAMLEE BURGER ?
Nope maybe we missed that
Very informative! I live in Chile and like most of the KDramas. I have been curious about the food. Porridge I understand but sundae? Pig intestines, no thanks! I was especially curious about the egg dish and how it was made. I’ll give it a try! Thanks!
Welcome! We plan to visit Chile maybe next Month or so~
Terrific video - cooking and chatting! Good job.
Thank you:)
This is such a sweet and informative video! You two are so fun to learn from. Your side dishes look delicious!
Thank you. Glad you enjoyed it!
Glad to hear you have universal health coverage in Korea. The U S are way behind in this area.
I guess private healthcare industry has become too big in the U.S. that their profits are more important than citizen's health.
Very informative and nice to watch your interaction with each other. Yes, I watch a lot of k dramas and enjoy the fact that there isn’t a surplus of sexual encounters. I also think there seems to be an over abundance of shouting in office settings and I am glad to hear this practice is dying out. This bullying practice in business would not be tolerated in Canada.
Yes right. Thanks!
I really hope that the western influence does not erode your conservative values. I rarely watch western movies since discovering k dramas about three years ago. Was just tired of the explicit sexual nature of the simplest movie. I’m learning Korean as well so it helps with that as well. I’m sure there are some explicit Korean movies but it’s easy to find wholesome ones.
Yes indeed.
Thanks for all the explanations. Korean healthcare is great. I wish we had here where I live. ❤
You could. Many foreigners in fact immigrate to Korea these days:)
I’m not surprised to find out that Koreans go to the hospital for even minor ailments. I often hear that someone has gone to hospital for a vitamin I.V.which is something we would never do in the U.K. What does alarm me is what I hope is a totally inaccurate depiction of how broken bones and skin injuries are treated. The bandaging is so dreadful and often far more than is necessary. I hope treatment is more expert than in the dramas. Do they really stay in hospital following a simple broken bone? And are they given such old fashioned crutches?
Although medical treatment is advanced, people visit hospitals for broken bones too. Many orthopedics treatmemts seem old fashioned because there are no other ways to make the broken bones to heal other than cast or some forms of protection gears.
I would like to know which neighborhoods r middle to upper class in Seoul, but affordable to live in as well?
It's Gangnam district.
1. Where do u live now? 2. Why not make one plate with everything on it like Europeans? 3. Why in dramas males carry females on their back? 4. Why in every drama the mother abandons her young children? 5.Why korean people don't eat bread 6.Where celebrities live? Have u seen one? 7.What about MSG in instant noodles 🍜? 8. I see that in dramas people only eat noodles, rice or breaded chicken. Don't u have insulin resistant people? What they eat? Only bbq?
How old are you?
Reel and reality me fark hota hai itna to hume bhi pata hai indian drama and Pakistani drama se to achha hi hota hai kdrama cdrama
Sorry, but I cringe when Korean Americans act like they live in Korea. But yeah, romcoms are obviously not realistic
Those famous murals drew by famous Binsky have recently repainted fresh to their old glory. Binsky has came back to Penang to repaint his artworks after many years faded by the tropical weather.
Oh it is! Thanks for sharing~
Sean, that was a HERO bite at the end there!
Haha yes a big king bite:)
Again this lazy guy is talking and she is cooking. So annoying. This is what modern Korean men are about, lazy. I have an SNU graduate husband like that on the couch as we speak.
Sean, Jin, what are you two planning for Seollal 2025?
Hi, we may be in South America around that time:)
@abitdifferentkoreans 친구야 즐겨!
When wifey got close to the camera I was like ooh my girl is pretty. Wife is bae❤❤
Thanks:)
How r you doing this financially? You guys are wonderful!
Thanks. With some savings and income from our bonds, we can afford our travel. Plus we're pretty frugal~
@ I’m retiring from teaching and have been fascinated by all things Asian, especially the history and culture. You are living my dream. I just discovered your channel today and you both are delighting me with your observations. 😁
Thank you and we hope for the best on your journey ahead. My mother-in law is also retiring next year as a elementary school teacher/principal.
Very informative , I am a die hard fan of Korean series, the new ones and the old ones, l just finished watching My Mister and now Pasta, am loving both. I often wonder why there always seems to be scenes with girl who are falling down drunk, they try to sell it as cute, but it really isn’t. Drinking seems to be a huge part of the culture, or at least , that is how its portrayed. Another thing I have observed is how aggro some of the male characters are, just plain rude, I wonder if that is a thing in Korea, but I find that odd. Food, people are always hungry, there are several eating scenes and a lot of loudly slurping those noodle down with gusto. No matter how predictable these series are, I am hooked. I am learning so much about the culture, food, the country as a whole. It was good to have some of the questions I too wondered about , answered.
Thanks for waching. As for your questions, yes, drinking is big part of culture, but it's getting better as people have started focusing more on health. The rudeness depicted in dramas is definitely not a thing at all. Nontheless, you see that quite often in dramas because it shows the emotions of main characters in a direct way.
One of the reasons I enjoy Kdrama so much is the slower physical pace. I live in the USA, and too many programs (my opinion obviously) spend an excessive amount of focus on this. Need to fill a story gap? Insert a bedroom scene😢
Yes, I hope we can continue to see that going forward~
Please talk about the spiritual culture..
Hi there, welcome to our channel. Yes, we'll cover it soon~
Thank you...
Thanks~
You guys are doing great. I bet your friends stuck at home are jealous of you.
Haha maybe. Thanks!
You guys rock!!!. I love the Q&A concept. It works well. The lady is georgeous and her husband well reversed in English. Our curiosity is unlimited so we are really enjoying the valuable info as well as the healthy meal suggestions! Love it all!❤ ❤❤
Thank you for your words and encouragement!
I stopped watching any other tv series except Korean and Chinese dramas but mostly watch Korean dramas especially the historical coz i like to know the history as well
Wow great interests indeed!
Korean Dramas filled with so many sweet things that man and woman love to have in reality despite they can't really have these things so instead living inside the korean drama and imagine that we are the characters so we can have a very nice and sweet dream away frome our reality that we can't have a nice and sweet gentleman.
Haha yes right~~:)
Regarding medical care and insurance, what is the cost of insurance as a percentage of a person's salary? Is medical insurance mandatory? Does the government provide medical care for low/income people? What is the average net tax rate a person pays of their income (salary, sales, VAT, etc) Blanket statements about the affordability of things can be misleading if accurate comparisons are not made.
One of the reasons i like korean because of the kindness, gentleman, and sweetness here i am not saying that all korea men like this but majority are unlike others, naturally women love to her sweet things from her man and receives nice and kind gestures and gentleman and sweetness is so important in the health of any serious relationship between man and woman and this is one of the reasons made me wishing that i born in Korea to know a korean man.
Thanks for your interests in Korea. I have to let you know that despite a perception of sweetness, some Korean men are womanizers treating women very lightly, so watch out:)
I love your channel it's one of my favorite channel on RUclips
Thank you:) glad you enjoyed it~
In New Zealand takes 2 weeks 😅 have eye test done in New Zealand and the to be sent to Australia to make the glasses and back to New Zealand 😅😂
Yes, one of the reasons to visit Korea!
