9:45 that's not what the ego is, it's not the conscious captain of the ship, it's the unconscious captain of the ship. or it's the direct accumulation of experience up until that point. or the egoic mind, it's an identification with an energy field which feeds off fear and requires time to exist. the ego can be dissolved by being in the present moment, a timeless reality.

Awesome viideo dude. ive never listened to Sleep Token until 2 days ago, but i listened to all the songs and i think Sleep is his Anima, also. Im so fucked up right now. i think i opened up my subconsience by accident before i was ready, via a heavy dose of LSD when i was still a teenager. im been plagued every day since. i had panic attacks all day, everyday, for 18 years. i finally put it at bay with tons of meds, but especially benzos are the only reliefs, which i just got on in the past 3 years. now that im not distracted with that, the fog lifted, but now ive been staring into the abyss ever since. im wretched now, and i have to fix this soon. im afraid that i might not make it thru my shadow work, so i havent done it. i think there is no other choice. i have to jump into the abyss. i dont think ill ever get out

Never stop searching. That is what your daimon/ unconscious mind is guiding you by. It has a purpose for you to go on your hero’s journey towards individuation. I started with asking the question, “what the fuck am I here and conscious for?” That question had never been fully answered but it evolves with every exploration of consciousness I embark upon.

That's fascintating. I first suspected I might be autistic after hearing from multiple sources that my MBTI type - INFP is often autistic (alongside INFJ). When I first did the MBTI testing years ago I came out as something else and a relative who is an MBTI expert said "No way, you need to do this again based on your true self" - I had answered based on my masking self and second time around I was INFP. I needed the encouragement to be honest as I'd been shamed from an early age for my sensitive traits. I got my autism diagnosis today.

Think about this a lot. I’ve always been skeptical of astrology and still am, but I think about how much we already know about the effects the moon has on so many important things on earth. The tides, women’s menstruation periods (which has always amazed me how perfect the conditions are for life. It’s as if someone put the moon there just for that. 😉 But bc of my interest in sun activity and earth’s magnetic field, I’ve started wondering and trying to find information about how the sun might affect humans specifically. If I’m being honest, a lot of my interest comes from my mood swings over the last 2-3 years. They seem to be totally unrelated to any circumstances. There’s lots more details I’ll spare you, but the only reason I’m not chalking it up to some psychological neurosis I can find on the internet is because it seems like it’s something outside of me that might be causing it. Idk why I get that sense, but I do. I’ve obviously done and I’m still doing my due diligence to examine every area of my life to see if it could be something with my gut biome, my diet, exercise, etc. All the obvious places you’d start to look. And there’s just nothing that jumps out at me. I’m actually very healthy. All typical measurements look great! From blood pressure to blood work, all is fine. I’m thin and have a more active lifestyle than most men my age (44). The only other things I’m waiting on are results of my gut biome test, and I actually expect those to be really good too. I know what to eat and what no to eat, ya know? And I’d like to have my testosterone levels checked. I think there’s a great chance that’s the culprit, but idk. So bc I’m running out of things to blame for my mood swings, irritability, depression (apathy and lethargy really), and overall increase in anger. 😬 I’m ashamed to admit that, but I’m just kinda always suppressing this underlying rage nowadays. It’s always there now and so far I’ve been able to keep a lid on it and not ruin my relationships. But I’m getting tired of having to expend so much mental energy to keep it bottled up. And then when I look around at the world I feel like the general mood of the masses is showing similar signs. As within, so without, right? 🤷‍♂️ But bc of the bit of research I’ve done into our shifting poles, the history of pole shifts, earth’s electromagnetic field, the increase in Sun activity while we have less protection from the magnetic field, all of that got me wondering what the sun might be doing to the weather, the volcanos, earthquakes, etc, And since I know everything moves in circles, cycles, I wonder about ancient civilizations that came and went due to cataclysm. I wonder if we’re coming up on another pole shift, or if the weather is going to get insane. And I wonder what effect the Sun has on us psychologically. I’d love to hear more about this topic. If you researched those questions and shared your findings I think lots of people would be interested. You don’t have to be a scientist. Just be a regular dude who asks questions that we all wonder about, and then share what you find with the world. The rest would work itself out. Sorry for the TLDR but if you DR then thanks for asking this question. It’s my top question now too.

When I used to do those tests I’d think, “I do all of that” and so I’d go with what I did most commonly. What I did most commonly was mask. Doing the test post-diagnosis I went with what I actually felt and wanted which, like you, gave me very different results.

Hearing about this, I think this is the worst part of people being diagnosed as adults. See, given I was diagnosed as a kid I never started masking, I guess I essentially never had the self-expectation of normalcy, so I just didnt do that. Instead I just adjusted my behavior over time as I matured in like, the usual way, but not while masking.

Thanks for sharing this moment of vulnerability. Personally, I wouldn't push myself through extreme feelings to NOT do something (not anymore at least), which is what you're doing by showing up. I feel like self-awareness and self-care can be a rocky road at times when you're pushing through years of lessons, habits, and fears that have operated as a barrier to keep you in a comfortable rut. Generally worth it for the inner stability that comes from knowing personal limits that are based on your strengths rather than limitations.

I feel you, brother! I never knew who I was. Now I know, I'm just a neurodiverse guy. Growing up I didn't have a sport or a hobby, so I didn't know who I belonged to. Later I discovered skateboarding, finally I thought I know who I am, a skater. Later I started to study, from now on I identified myself as a chemist. During my PhD I identified myself as a scientist. When I started working, the next crisis came, who am I? A scientist, a skater or what? Today I have understood that I was never all that, those were or still are my special interests. Of course they are part of me, but today I see it more as a hobby. I'm just an anxious, autistic ADHDer who has spent his whole life trying to understand who he is. Today I try to identify myself more through my behavior, I'm nice, I like to help others and I always try to stand up for the disadvantaged or take action against unfairness. And when I think about it, I've always been like that. You don't have to be someone. Just be yourself and do what you enjoy! And most importantly, start accepting and loving yourself! Your inner child knows who you are :)
