Hello! Big problem with my Fenix8AMOLED: I bought the watch for running but since I'm also a scuba diver, I took it for a test. After 3 dives between 90 and 120ft with no deco, the watch started to bug and then turned off for good. Garmin sent me a new watch and... after 3 or 4 dives in the same pressure zone with deco, the watch started to bug just like the first one. I'm glad I have my MARES dive computer, what is wrong with the FENIX8 waterproof??

Excellent review! You can activate the ECG feature using an Android device and an app to mock your GPS location (e.g., New York). The whole process takes less than five minutes. I live in Argentina, own a Garmin Venu 2 Plus, and the ECG works great.

Is 165 good even if u ain’t a runner? I weight lift, use treadmill and all types of cardio. I don’t really run unless on the treadmill once in a while.

If you need a watch that can live display speed on say a bike or kayak where you need to mount it to view rather than wear on the wrist then this watch is not for you as the Amoled screen will dim so you can't read it, even with always on mode. Making it useless for live speed/cadence monitoring. Should be able to override during activities. There needs to be a function to override this during activates, even if it drains the battery quickly. Screen burn is not an issue as the readout is not static

Do you have any insights about readability of the improved MIP display in 7 Pro -> I am wondering if its worth getting 7 Pro Sapphire, since I am not too worried about the toughness, but what bothers me is the display readability - I've heard the Gorilla Glass has less glare than the Sapphire version, can you confirm this? Just ordered one to replace my Instinct 2 Solar. Time to upgrade to a maps watch but not Amoled. The solar panel is super efficient too.

In terms of city navigation which garmin I should go for ? 965 or epic pro or fenix series . Looking for all multi bands , don’t mine for ambled or mid screen . Thank you

Nice video. Thank you. I have found that Garmin’s topo maps are missing a number of well known trails that are shown in both Gaia and Strava. Ex being the trail up to Emerald Lake near Hyalite res outside of Bozeman MT. It could be user error but even using the Garmin mapping app on the phone some trails are nowhere to be found.

I got it a few weeks ago for £182, direct from Garmin with the Perks at Work website. It's way better than the Instinct 2, I had the Solar Surf Edition couple of years ago and it didn't work at all. GPS was all over the place, compass never worked, and it crashed all the time. They provided a replacement and that was the same. Thankfully this 2X is waaaaaaaay better, most importantly, it works. One thing that is annoying me though, is that I wish Garmin would release the Instinct 2 Solar Surf Edition watch face for the 2X.

Is the heel lock the same as pulsar trail pro 2? Because it is very narrow and thin. I had pain every time i use them.

That is a bloody good chippy in Wells. Get yourself a windproof, no wonder you were cold only wearing the OMM 'string vest'.

What I want is a watch with navigation and esim so I can see messages and make calls. It needs to be waterproof and have search engine features. When I go on holiday I don't want to take my phone everywhere with me, I'd rather just have a smart watch. This is where the Apple Ultra 2 comes into it's own because it has everything. It has all the social media apps also. I work out, run and swim but not heavily hence I wouldn't need the Garmin I just want something that covers everything. Also mp3 features for my headphone.
