Hey, not taking it personal at all, apart from obscure content creator, which is personal, non the less, I have had my AIO5 play longer than any of the others, in fact I got mine tail end of Feb this year, and wanted to share my experiences after trying some of the others that were out there which I bought with my own money. I have not been active on here for a while as have had some hefty work commitments, but will be back in the new year with loads of kit reviews of stuff that I have been sent for free !!!!! Seems folks like a decent straight forward review from a down to earth Lancashire lad so intend to continue doing it with all the free stuff I get, and just to say the unit is worth 300 euros, I would happily pay that for it when compared to the others I bought. There have been some items that I was sent for free, which wont even make it to a review as they are just not good enough and I wont waste my valuable time reviewing something thats not worth it. So, in closing, may I respectfully request you stop being a "super leg end" and instead of moaning, for no apparent benefit to anyone, be constructive and positive and you may just be contacted by a vendor to send YOU some stuff for free, as thats what happened to me.

And the whole “I got this item for free but this is my honest review” charade is probably one of the reasons I don’t have a channel “I paid for the unit and this is my review” should be a requisite. Nobody can be impartial towards a manufacturer because they already send one unit and because they may feel inclined to send more if the feedback is positive. BTW: the universal version costs 300 euros, but chigee, in its infinite wisdom, decided to price the BMW version at 530-ish euros. Call it the BMW tax.

So, I dont give a monkeys about numbers of subs, I dont end or start my videos with please click and subscribe, as thats not my driving goal behind any reviews I make. Calling into question my morals without even knowing me is a serious shortcoming on your behalf, there are some genuine folk out there that really do give an honest review no matter the item was bought or given for free, I told Chigee fom the outset that I dont do sponsored videos or ever change my views because the item was gifted, I dont care if I never get anything else from Chigee as again thats not my goal, but I will be buying the AIO 6 play for the slightly larger screen and giving the 5 to my son for his bike. I dont want to waste anymore time on a shallow minded, individual like you so wont be addressing any of your other worthless points made. I hope you stay safe on the roads and enjoy riding into the sunset, life is too short to surf YT and troll folk over trivial views you hold so please enjoy your life doing what you do and leave others to do the same. There can be slight discrepancies in the speed readouts, as the Chigee uses the GPS for speed and the bikes speedo is direct drive from the wheels which is instantaneous.

Hey, yeah I have found similar issues to you, and WA and text can be read out to you whilst riding, this is the only way at the minute. However as mentioned above on another question, I have now just got Sena intercom and Chigee connected to my phone, it is NOT connected to the bike and "hey Siri" now works flawlessly.

Yes this is true, and a little frustrating, but nothing to do with the Chigee, its about the compatibility from the app dev's, I have made them aware of this and they are looking into it.

It doesn’t.

Once you are connected to your phone on the chigee, the orientation of the phone is irrelevant and the route shows direction of travel as it should on the screen.

Hey Jay, there have been issues with all the carplay units I have tried from different manufacturers when it comes to helmet coms and their use. For me I have found that I forego the connection to the bike, as I dont really need the connected ride info, and I connect my Sena to the phone, and the Chigee to the phoine and everything works flawlessly, yes its a compromise, but it works for me, hope that helps.

On the long ride from Land End to John O Groats, using the phone for nav, I had to top it up after approx 8 hrs but it was still on 43%, so no detrimental impact on battery life. The indicator button works once the bike is switched on as it connects to the bike via the RCA connector under the rear pillion seat. Cheers

BIKERBREW W502B CARPURIDE

Just a great unit all rounder, and on most bikes the 502 probably suits better, but the 702 prob better for those that use glasses as its just that bit clearer when riding. cheers for the comment.

Hey Nicholas, yes we most certainly did, but some of our posse had to be back in the Ribble Valley for 6pm. Disappointed ? yes of course, but so glad we took part in a large part of the day, just incredible, made even more so by the fabulous people of Barrow. Thank you to you all..

Agree Christopher, I'm a bit apprehensive leaving it on the bike sometimes, however the BMW version due very soon is compatible with the Nav cradle on the bike and offers quick release and they are looking at alternatives for other bikes.👍

@@BikersBrew sure, but most of us doesn’t mount it on a bmw cradle. And from what Chigee has said themselves not even the play model will have a quick release. And that’s their next gen stuff.

@@simulacrae Oh yeah I get that, but given two other prominent carplay screen manufacturers have gone down the same route with a BMW cradle adapter first theres obviously a market for it, but Chigee have intimated to all their ambassadors future products being developed DO include a quick release system. I am just working with Quadlock products at the moment that will make the AIO-5 Play on my bike QR, video to follow when its finished. cheers

Hi, you say 2 other manufacturers are utilizing the BMW cradle to mount? Carpuride I've watched on YT, but which is the other? You've recently said you prefer the W702B over the 5", so does the Chigee's superior build quality send you back to the smaller screen?

@@mattlyward1038 Hey Matt, in relation to size, now theres a statement, with my eyesight the 702 was easier to use and see in comparison to the 502, the Chigee build quality does make me swing to it more but its more the performance of the Chigee screen, its not just brighter, clearer, sharper but I like the auto dimming etc but its so much more responsive and accurate with touch registering more accurate than others, and the 5" suits the bike so much more, its almost OEM looking. If I was spending my own money, it would be the Chigee, everytime. Hope that helps pal.
