If you’re in cycles, I’ve found it pretty fun to use bounces for fill and/or negative fill. Rather than using a second light, I’ll place a bit white or black cube (a really thin one) and let the key light bounce to fill or negate the light. Only works in cycles but it’s a fun way to experiment with some real world scenarios and looks great too. Maybe you could add in a bounce button when you start working on the preset options?

Dude, EEVEE has saved my life on projects many many times. It was always useful. Now, it's even better.

idk, EEVEE has always been useful if you're making animations, so you're not stuck with 40+ hr Cycles renders. Light bounces could sorta be done via baking irradiance volumes.

Excuse me but 30 minutes in cycles for that simple render means you are not able to set up cycles correctly. Seriously. Same things about EEVEE, ok real-time ray tracing is a great thing, but it was possible to achieve exactly same results even before with an indirect lightning probe.

Telling people that cycles takes 30 min is disingenuous. I rendered 4k film frames in cycles for my last project in 4 min. I’m not sure why that simple render would take more than a couple min if set up reasonably well on a gpu. I’m floored by how fast cycles really is for the quality. Eevee next is cool, but don’t lie to make your point.

Looks really good, I can't do better anyway. But all the same, I noticed several mistakes that spoil a good idea. The first mistake is when you created a mystical atmosphere in the plot where the main character is crazy. Dynamic music and fast scenes, or something like how the movie Cars begins, would be better. And the second mistake is the wrong focal length of the camera, you did it very well in the first scene, and because of that I watched the video, but then everything started to look like a toy. And there's one more thing, maybe you're not a sound effects expert but you used the sound of an internal combustion engine for a rocket ship. It would be cool if your spaceship had an engine like this, and it just turned blades instead of wheels, which would help improve the concept art. Sorry for criticizing a lot, probably because I expected to see something like product animation. And if you have problems with a weak video card, I advise you to use light baking in EEVEE. I hope this helps you become a better artist.

Hi! When Baking the model when the materials overlap, I try to prevent that with pixel margin set on 1 or 2 pixels, depending on the texture size, it helps a lot! You can find the option in the baking menu
