My mentor's explanations are more of the "do what feels right" variety, so your technical explanations have been super helpful. So for the box method, "on a 45 up to the other corner" is confusing me a bit. Are you essentially doing 2 passes, once straight, and once at a 45° angle going back, before starting on the next box?

another sugestion to video is talking about how use tension lines in our favor, like is better to stretch perperdicular across tension lines but when color packing is better to tattoo the skin perpendicular or parallel to collagen fibers tension lines

I was recommended Palmers Cocoa Butter Lotion by my tattoo artist, so ive been using the Fragrance free version of this but i noticed it has Petrolatum and Paraffinum Liquidum in the ingredients. Should i stop using this? Also I have had two 9hr sessions with this artist and on both occasions i got infections. I washed and moisturized 2-3 times a day as per his instructions.

I normally have the clients head hang over the end of the table, as in your first example, then I adjust and place my arm rest under their head for support. For me, that works quite well. It’s comfortable for both the client and myself. Cheers from Australia. Regards from Mick 😎

Hi. Thanks for the video it was pretty interesting. I'm a tattoo client myself and my tat from almost 2 years is all thick black lines and all of them are raised permanently. I was suspecting scarring as the artist was extremely heavy handed and it was so freaking painful. He is a pretty popular artist tho so I wasn't sure. But perhaps he needs to watch your video 😂. Anyways, is there any way to treat this? Make it less raised? And if I were to try to get some work done over it would it even take? Thanks
