Any help with shading, blending black and grey realism....is right up my street 🤣🤣🤣
So, first light then dark for smooth blending, first dark then light for abrupt blending. Simple, but Good to know, thank you.
Color scares me a bit at the moment.....so i'll work with b and g untill i feel confident....then tackle that whole mess 🤣🤣
What’s your thoughts on needle hang and it’s effects (cartridge) and how band tension effects needle stability/hit and retraction speed relative to the machine speed?
Good question. I’d everything is going to have a log-curve look to it if we mapped it out. Hang doesn’t really matter apart from travel distance but it affects stability. When stability is affected it will affect the cps by increasing strain. If the cps is affected then the entire setup will operate outside of expectations. Basically, the longer the throw, the slower the machine can run, and the more strain is put on various moving parts (bladder/band included). If this is something that is noticeable during operation, I don’t know. I think it will come down to each machine and user rather than be a blanket “this is what you do”. When we end up thinking like this I feel like it’s going to be really interesting science but something that won’t really influence/affect the average tattooer. It’s like PhD dissertation material lol not too many folks feel out on that stuff.
One thing is tho -> band/bladder tension is really important if you have quick hand speeds. Sloppy bands decrease return which keeps the needle extended for longer periods of time. If you’re moving fast you’ll snag. I gotta get that materials tester to start testing bladder samples available. Only 2k to go lol
@@BetterTattooing yeah I mostly overthink things and love going in deep😅 in this industry, technical application is not so cut and dry. There’s a lot of contradictory information and sometimes the good stuff is found in the details 🤓also why I love this channel keep it up!
@kevenmimeault298 totally agree! I really hope the channel keeps expanding because I’ll be investing the money it makes into equipment for some heavier experiments. Easier to make it seen rather than presume
