Hello and welcome to the Trains in Ireland channel. I focus on the Railways of Ireland. Most of my videos are filmed in the West of Ireland (Roscommon, Mayo, Galway, Sligo, Leitrim).
Some I have filmed in the East and Midlands (Dublin, Kildare, Laois, Offaly). I hope in the furture to film in the South (Cork, Kerry, Waterford). I also hope in the furture to film in the North (Antrim, Armagh, Derry).
I hope to grow my channel from strength to strength. Their will also be Railway Preservation Society of Ireland (RPSI) Steam and Diesel Rail Tours and Irish Rail News on RTE News or TV3 News (Virgin Media News) on the channel. So make sure to look out for these videos.

Kishoge Train Station was first built back in 2009 as part of the Kildare Route Project in the Transport 21 programme at a cost €6 million. However due to the economic down turn in the Irish economy at that time and the planned housing developments in the Kishoge and Clonburris areas, which are only being developed and constructed in the last while, the train station was never opened until now.
Fifteen years while the train station had being lying unused, extensive vandalism and overgrowth had affected it, it required approximately an extra €3.8 million to repair and to bring the train station up to date to modern day standards in terms of signage, pa...

@@liamoconnor2718 Most of the Grand Canal Dock and Portlaoise train services serve Kishoge Liam, there are a small few train services early morning and evening that don't.

I got to sit in the exact same sear in the exact same coach pulled by the same engine called Merlin
Nice!.
Some great stills and sequences there. I like the way you wait until the gates open for road- the sort of detail that photographers sometimes miss (in the future when someone is railway modelling and needs to know gates timing sequences etc!). The 071s going past at full tilt on the timber trains are excellent. All the best and thank you.

if the sligo train frequent service increased to every hour or 30 minutes or less. people wont have to wait any longer for the next train if they missed one

Thanks very much for your comment Naoise!😃.I'm not exactly sure how often the 2800 Class DMU Trains operate the LimerickJunction/Limerick Commuter Train Services?.The ICR 22000 Trains usually operate the 18:40Galway/Ennis and the 15:55Limerick/Galway Trains Services as far as I know, it might be different now and again.

Is the engine sound upon beginning departure this visceral in reality? From what I know (admittedly not much) this and the 2600s (Native to my home county of Cork) have the same engines, and I've been on the 2600s too many times to count.
Yes it would be visceral in reality.
This looks almost like a 2600, the species of DMU native to Cork, and yet it's 10km/h faster. Same engines (1x Cummins NTA-855-R1 12.3L Inline-6 of 350PS per car), and same almost everything. What is the major difference between them, other than the lack of gangways on the 2800?
I'm not fully aware of all the differences between the 2600 Class DMU Trains and the 2800 Class DMU Trains?. But I do know the 2800 Class DMU Trains are faster than the 2600 Class DMU Trains.
@@trainsinireland5063 by about 10km/h. The 2800s must be lighter then, cos they and the 2600s use the exact same engine, with no difference in performance.
Just before covid hit got into inchicore to do work experience with someone I know I was brought through the whole yard seen everything from the 201s 071s and was able to get into these that where abandoned there felt very privileged to get up there as not many cant do i was told the unit I was in was the one that got flooded a few years ago dont know how that happened but if anyone has info on it let me know
