I couldn't access the back of the ceiling clip, but with a flat headed screwdriver, I was able to trist the front of the clip enough to release the track.

I have blinds from the 1990s! There's a clip, those clips are made of steel and I can't get them to release!

Thank you, I never would have worked this out without you, and probably would have resorted to a hacksaw to get the things down. Removed the actual blinds years ago, but needed to access behind the headrail today so they had to come down.

There must be a different mounting system for American venetian blinds. In fact, it might be from another planet since I cannot figure it out.

no more trying to remove screws and brackets to get rollers off where the blind has been incorrectly installed!!!! disappointed I won't be buying special tools to remove the hard to get at screws though ;-)
