The mobile turret Plasmoid - run this by your DM first! - Choose small size. - buy a crate or a container that can hold the ooze and carve holes in it - buy and hold a component pouch (smallest spell focus item) - give crate to a martial to hold - jump into the container - use an action to create arms for somatic component cast away in at least two-thirds cover

Favored Enemy (2014) has greater Bounty Hunter benefits than Favored Foe. You can start with Constructs as a nod to Mechanus & the Plane of Order. Then onto Humanoids like Humans & Elves because they're more common, & then Aberrations. You'll have "Expertise" on all INT checks & WIS (Survival) to track. Oh its gold. In 2024, with Expertise in Arcana & Rogues' Reliable Talent pushed to 7th level, rolls being no lower than 7 will 100% guarantee opening & closing portals with INT 12 beginning 17th level, with earlier levels also at 100% with Guidance's d4 (both 2014 & 2024) & Soulknife's d8. so recently i started playing an ancient warforged who was in a battle and left behind in a barren battle field. when it was awoken by a forest spirit in the shape of an eagle within and now ancient an thickly grown forest to start at level3 as a batter master ranger with the druidic warrior fighting style focusing on a shillelagh with a quarter staff and shield.

i like her and the setting seems fun

Rogue/Ranger builds are my bread and butter. Just love the pairing, and this take on the build. personally like the 11/9 split for a build like this. haste is too good a spell to give up. edit: The horizon walker feature spell Etherealness only lasts for 1 round unfortunately. i really wish it would've have a duration of 1 minute or can use wis/ proficiency times per day at its current 6 sec duration, but that can be homebrewed with your DM.

What? We're doing a dex/ int build so lets start w/ +1 in strength +2 in charisma....... just stop watching , I am.

My plasmoid is a rogue soulknife/ Fighter psi warrior. they are built as a sheriff type character, that was descended from a gelatinous cube that fed on illithid, and slowly gained sapience from that.

when you started talking about melee with casters i thought you were going to say that with potent spellcasting and the booming blade and /or greenflame blade arcana cleric is the best melee cleric of them all since you get to add wisdom to both instances of damage and with shillelagh you can attack with wisdom so you get to add it 3 times per casting which is bonkers in combination with spirit guardians

Interesting. Our campaign does would Not allow him to cast the Produce Flame as a caster of higher level than what is allowed by the class in which he gains it. 😮

A slightly odd build but its super flavorful and cool u guys r the best

I can tell you from experience, if you haven’t experienced it already by now, that although it does all look good on paper it doesn’t feel good on the table. I built nearly this exact build and it hurt, from what I learned about multiclassing is that every level somewhere else from your main is that much more waiting for you to get to the real meat and potatoes. Drakewarden still needs a bit of tweaking, like you did giving the Drake the Breath weapon ability, and idk about your table but my DM was constantly asking me if my Drake bite attack was magical or not, and every time I told him “written it is call “Magic Fang” but it does not say “does magic damage” and he never said whether or not the damaged was full or reduced. And originally for my Rogue subclass I was going to go with Thief cause I wanted a to do Robin Hood kind of character, but I went with Scout for the skirmisher ability because my DM’s combat style so far was ambush mobs. But soon as I got my Scout abilities he instantly went to a singular sub boss enemy, making my scout ability useless, not to mention the step child popular skill prof’s it gives. Only benefit from rogue then was the steady aim and the little yet reliable sneak attack damage, and cunning action was at constant war with my bonus action. TLDR, Drake warden is not a class you want to have to go through the growth period of multi classing. All this mind you is in considering your tables’s pace, it was about a year before I was even able to ride my Drake, and soon after that the campaign fizzled out so I went through all the growing pains for 2 instances of humming “Old Town Road”. It could be worth it if you’re doing a 1-2 shot at high level or starting at high level, but in practice the gears that you conceptualized to turn flawlessly together actually grind on each other. Better to just focus on Ranger.
