Thank you for watching our D&D video and we hope you enjoyed the Horizon Walker Soulknife build. If you have any questions, comments or build requests please leave them in the comments section below.
Great video guys! Thanks for all the work
Favored Enemy (2014) has greater Bounty Hunter benefits than Favored Foe. You can start with Constructs as a nod to Mechanus & the Plane of Order. Then onto Humanoids like Humans & Elves because they're more common, & then Aberrations. You'll have "Expertise" on all INT checks & WIS (Survival) to track. Oh its gold.
In 2024, with Expertise in Arcana & Rogues' Reliable Talent pushed to 7th level, rolls being no lower than 7 will 100% guarantee opening & closing portals with INT 12 beginning 17th level, with earlier levels also at 100% with Guidance's d4 (both 2014 & 2024) & Soulknife's d8.
Love the hard work! Looking forward to your guys' 5e 2024 content.
Very good point, we have kind of ignored the original 5e ranger but in this case it has some real advantages. We're pretty excited about 2024. The playtest stuff looks good and Zappiel and I are both excited about monks getting an upgrade. We plan on starting with the classes that had the biggest changes so our first 2 builds will be me (Guy) making a paladin and Zappiel making a monk. We already have a story arc for them.
i like her and the setting seems fun
Thank you, glad you liked it and thanks for watching

so recently i started playing an ancient warforged who was in a battle and left behind in a barren battle field. when it was awoken by a forest spirit in the shape of an eagle within and now ancient an thickly grown forest to start at level3 as a batter master ranger with the druidic warrior fighting style focusing on a shillelagh with a quarter staff and shield.
I love druidic warrior for a melee ranger, I like magic stone for the other cantrip to go all in on wisdom. With a warforged medium armor with 14 dex still gives a great armor class.
I went with guidance lol.
Rogue/Ranger builds are my bread and butter. Just love the pairing, and this take on the build. personally like the 11/9 split for a build like this. haste is too good a spell to give up.
edit: The horizon walker feature spell Etherealness only lasts for 1 round unfortunately. i really wish it would've have a duration of 1 minute or can use wis/ proficiency times per day at its current 6 sec duration, but that can be homebrewed with your DM.
Thank for pointing that out. This is Guy, I totally missed that. I'm glad we haven't had a horizon walker make that level in our game. I'll get Zappiel to add a note in the description.
I usually don't like doing splits that lose an ASI but sometimes certain class abilities and spells are worth it.
@@thedungeoncrashers7923 I agree, i usually build that way as well. On the ASI front. i try to maximize as many as i can get. but in my case thanks to the 11 rogue lvls and their extra ASi at 10th you don't technically miss out on the normal 5 ASI opportunities which justifies the odd lvl split imo. (Rogue:4,8,10. Ranger: 4,8)
Just a note, isn’t it just a one round effect of the etherealness spell she gain on 7th level ranger and not a free casting of a 7th level spell?
Thanks, I totally missed that and someone else pointed it out also. I'm going to ask Zappiel to make a correction in the notes.
