New Top Speed for the Maddog 50 and Found Problems with GY6 139QMB Polini 95mm High Speed Variator
I have reached a physical limit on the Maddog 50cc. Lighter rollers will not push the belt out far enough. Heavier rollers push the belt too far. I would need more RPM to get 55mph now, and it can’t be had with lighter rollers. I need to actually gear the bike down. I can’t find a lower gear set than my current 15/50. I could run a smaller rear wheel, but I want the cool looks of a fat tire. Let me know what to try next

I just got a gen 1 50cc. 480 miles its been sitting for 10 years but i pilut the 1st 5 miles on it when i worked at the dealership this person bought it from. Gunna put a stock ruckus engine on it😂
u want to change ur gonna need to change your contra spring or clutch completely, if you cant get anything out of your rollers anymore u need to change how much the rear pulley timing, going with harder clutch springs can also help negate the lost in acceleration if u go too hard in contraspring
Do you have any that you’ve done custom work on for sale? Thanks.
How wide is the mounting bracket/ location for the an400 I’m looking at making and adapter bracket to put it in a icebear vision
Idk what should i buy, +35% gear ratio or +20%, like for 150ccm cylinder and different camshaft. I think with +35% I will ride slower due to power lack
Yes. You are absolutely right. I have a 2024 Honda Ruckus that came with 7g rollers weight. The top speed is 43mph. I put 6g rollers on it and have better acceleration with the same top speed. Then I put 5.5g rollers on it and believe it or not 5.5g is the sweet spot. I love it. Later on I decided to put the Polini Variator on it and tried every rollers weight and Sliders and I don’t like it so I stick with the stock variator with 5.5g. Thank you for the excellent videos and explanation.
Do you build these maddog scooters from bought ones? Numbers an tags are already good
Can u make a vid of that from rim how u put it on

I need help .. follows ur video.. checked spark… adjusted valves… it starts with starter fluid but shuts off instantly help
That is the best setup the downfall is they don't sell a good CVT you have to make it
My 52 naraku and a 51naraku head they do not sell it no more it was $250 4 year ago but it turned 12: 5 on the tech with no base gasket no head gasket so I put Tower gears in it 17-41 he would do 57 at 9000 with a 21 flat slide
How hard would it be to make an adapter engine mount bracket to install a an400 into a gy6 150 also what suspension type would be easiest keep the gy6 rear suspension or adapt the Suzuki?

Hello man, that a stock GY6 150cc ? And just cam? Or carb upgrade Too? I have a 157QMJ stock engine and I wanna try 26mm carb pwk and 114mm Variator. Do u recommend me try those cam ?
@rodolfogarces903 So I have done a 28mm PWK and Cam on two different stock 150s. Both results were great. The issue was the 115mm variator. The new engine made power to faster with the 115 variator. The older 150 went the same amount faster with cam and carb, but would not make enough power for the 115mm variator. It went slower with the 115 and faster with the stock 107mm variator. So there is a fine line there
Did you put your oem rocker assembly on that Naraku head? The rockers on those 69mm oem valves vs Naraku 64mm valves don't match.
@samupk No I used 64mm rockers. You can either use the 64mm rocker box assembly they sell or just buy the 2 64mm rockers and install them on your OEM rocker box. I tried both and for the price I would just buy the whole assembly because the individual rockers did not fit on the OEM shafts perfectly. They felt too tight.
@@GhettoWrench Yeah, it's a pity that 69mm valve head has much more tuning and porting potential than the 64mm, but the available valve diameters on the 69mm are crap.
How ya doing sir. What's a good in experience way to check crank bearings on qmb39
@seanmayo206 all I can think of is to see of there up and down play or movement on the flywheel or variator shaft

I bought a completely new WM 139QMB 80cc engine and also a Naraku v.2 90cc head plus cylinder kit. At first I was able to install only the cylinder, but I couldn't install the head because the rocker arm didn't fit, about 1 cm to the valves, it was impossible to adjust. When I installed the 90cc cylinder and 72mm head, everything was great. Then I installed the Naraku 90cc head and everything disappeared!!! The scooter barely starts (like a train), accelerates weakly and almost doesn't accelerate and wants to stop. I left the same carburetor, but even when I installed a larger 24mm carburetor, nothing much changed! What should I do???
@skynetdds that Naraku head has 64mm valves and needs the 64mm rocker arms. Did you get those?

Many people have had a issue with the cvt belt contacting the starter bindix and destroying the belt. Unfortunately no company has comeout with a better kick start mech so we can run a over range kit and bot kill the belt. Iv been looking into the honda Dio kick mechs as they look to be the same??? If we could build or find a better kick start mech. For the 139qmb then were in business. The stock kick start mechs on a 139qmb doesn't last long as the teety strip out fast. My personal goal for my build is 60mph - 7/7.5 hp if i can get anything over that is a added bonus! Keep up the good work dude!
@MisfitJ-v4w thanks that's awesome. I even tried removing the hump on that starter.. it flew apart. LOL. I may go back to the NCY 89mm variator and then re- gear up the rear end again. See if that combo works.
How cool and funny with the ghetto wrench that RW responded to a video! My uni prefilter blew off at 50ish mph. Decided to try paper off TRS. I like it. Still have the black foam uni as spare. Also 2x the spade lug came off my ignition coil. Thought I had it the first time. Bumps and vibes got it I guess. Watched the mpg one too. Waiting on results on that. @michaelhatala so this is like the 1st of 3 videos about this. The Gen 5 has the 14" wheel and only 2" of travel. Changing forks is a handful. I end up doing and showing how in the next video. I got the 11 pole. Don’t know when I’ll put it on but I also got the upgrade rectifier to match. Say it’s required.
@thefightingchance I watch videos on the 11 pole and no one really shows what to do with that extra yellow wire. Some forums say don't use it. That would just be like a 6 or 8 pole again. I bet that rectifier takes all the wires from the 11 pole stator and that's why.
@@GhettoWrench ok. I’ll see when I get around to it how they match. I hadn’t found anything on the rectifier/stator install other than the basic plug n play. Currently prep for the pwk install.
@@thefightingchance I believe that so the extra wire on the stator has somewhere to go. That will be a great mod
Why dont you change your clutch springs for higher rpm?
@dkewlguy once the clutch is locked to the bell or fully engaged, it is one piece essentially. The springs only change the rpm it engages at, but won't affect the RPM at full speed.
@@GhettoWrench sure this is my personal opinion now. But I really didn't get my best performance out of my bike until I get could the rpms into that power band. And I had to change the springs to do that.
Yeah with sliders you have to go about 1 more gram heavier than rollers 😊
@dkewlguy That's what I am figuring out. But if I use equal to equal. Say 6 gram sliders vs 5 gram rollers, do you think the sliders would be better? The I only advantage I can see is that they wear out slower
@@GhettoWrench honestly I would say you are correct. After watching your channel for a few months now. You are right about all the "performance" parts. Man most arent better than stock. Or they actually slow you down! I'm a firm believer in a good maybe 89mm variator. A good belt. And the right tune on your CVT. And honestly that's it when it comes to your transmission. The rest is all exhaust and engine stuff. Aka bbks or unrestricted exhausts. And Ioved your video on porting the heads. On a 50cc I agree with you. It doesn't make much of a damn difference
Thank you
Go on a diet and lose 30 pounds and you'll do 55mph.
🤔 Maybe port & smooth out the ports in the head, port match the intake to the head.
@markdavis29 I did it on the stock head and it actually worked. This Naraku head has bigger ports and looks prretty clean inside so I didn't want to screw it up
