i love the pescience vanilla (not vegan) with a little of extra cinamon
WOW😊😊 I Like It Just The Way It Was The First Time❤❤❤
I swear all these recipes say use a 2 cups of liquid but they are pouring up to the scoop fill line. What’s am I missing??
I assumed the fill line was 2 cups (16 ounces). Is it less? If so, my numbers are a bit overstated. I would check myself, but am away from home for a few days.
The lids are fully sealed. You can just shake it up
out of all the PEScience select flavours you have tried, what is your top 3 flavours?
They are all good. Get what appeals to you. Peanut Butter Cookie is probably my favorite. Frosted Cookie is probably my least favorite---but that's not their fault. They nailed the flavor, just not for me. They also have a good sale going on this weekend, so go for it!
Just letting yall know that the dymatize iso 100 brownie has an odd aftertaste. I would suggest their gourmet chocolate flavor. Tastes a lot better.
Good to know. Thanks!
can you use gelatin as a stabilizer?
can i use food processor / blender?
Thanks for the video! So you don't use the "respin" option, you just do it on the original mode again?
Correct. The respin button is a shorter than the full cycle
@@LowCalNinja-qf4ye I noticed that, but does running the original cycle give better results? I wonder why they included the respin option then but maybe it's just preference.
isnt xantham gum a laxative? double whammy for people that are lactose intolerant haha
From Google "Xanthan gum may have a laxative effect when consumed consistently and in large enough quantities, typically in excess of 15g per day." I recommend a quarter or half a gram in a pint. A little goes a long way. I also recommend that if you eat something that gives you digestive discomfort to not do that. Eat food that makes you feel good!
Instead of xanthan gum, I use egg yolks
Run it under warm water for 90 seconds to get rid of ice
A little lecithin powder (alternatively, egg yolk) also helps quite a bit
Just my 2 cents , but the bag of plastic will go trash . The bucket will go recycling to plastic pellets and use again for other product
Sadly, most of what goes in our bin these days doesn't actually get recycled. Many studies confirm this, there just isn't much of a market for it. Relevant, entertaining video on the topic: ruclips.net/video/PJnJ8mK3Q3g/видео.html
I havent got one of these machines yet but could you just use Dairy milk, Protein powder and Xanthan Gum? Or would this not work? @LowCalNinja
So informative. Thank you! And thank you for the product links. So hard to fine protein powder without sucralose.
Most cottage cheese contains stabilizers.
What about Arbonne’s protein powder????
Nice simple explanation of how different ingredients people commonly use affect the outcome. I feel like I actually understand the machine and process better. Thank you. I don't trust "It's just magic." Every kitchen appliance is just magic. I trust understanding the process behind it.
holy shit, what a hidden gem of a creator
Would cream cheese act similarly as cottage cheese as a stabilizer?
yep, but look out for what additives are in your cream cheese.
I’ve found that adding cocoa powder too helps soooo much with the flavor
This is amazing! Thank you!!
My favorite brand of protein is Perfect Sports, their Newzealand Whey Isolate is just pure protein and mixes so smoothly. I usually just put a scoop per 500ml of milk and it's so good. Sometimes two scoops if I want a really strong flavor but it's not necessary.

11 words and 1 symbol actually
I followed your instructions, but used pudding since I was out of xanthan gum, and I finally got it to fluff! I think the combo of the thickener, adding the milk after the first spin, and then another lite ice cream spin helped. I had to do one more respin because I didn't thaw mine much. I just ran it under hot water a bit. Fairlife is the best.
"1 ingredient" uses an ingredient that's already 2 ingredients then adds 2 more ingredients on top.
If you were cooking and a recipe said add "ketchup" or "BBQ sauce" would you call that one ingredient?
@@LowCalNinja-qf4ye Yes, so are any herbs and spices as well. Anything you have to make or buy is an ingredient including sauces and seasoning.
Im surprised gold standard wasnt mentioned but realized that i used to use it and the taste wasnt that great
I've tried it and covered it in another vid. Not my favorite, flavor is kind of weak and unremarkable texture in this machine.
What do you think about using pure collagen powder instead of protein powder? Would it get the same consistency?
what about premier protien shakes
Never had them, but the chocolate powder tested well. I don't really care for their vanilla though.
I bought two of these as gifts for my kids. I wasn’t impressed, and I didn’t find it worth the money. I would buy a real ice cream maker instead.
Bummer. I feel just the opposite and love mine. I think it comes down to wanting real ice cream vs. low calorie, ice cream like substitutes. I really like that you can just try stuff with the Creami instead of having to follow a recipe, since the machine is just so good at turning things into the right texture.
Gold standard is by far the best of the bunch.
Hard disagree. It wasn't good enough to purchase another bag imo.
We just bought a creami to get more fruit and protein into our toddler (and our own diets). I'm guessing fairlife + cottage cheese can be a good base for other ice creams too, like strawberry or banana or pinrapple etc? Edit: forgot to thank you for the awesome video, can't wait to try it !
You'll be surprised, but you really don't need much for a creamy sorbet. A can of pineapple (blended, then frozen) comes out so good. I would probably add some milk (I prefer almond) with bananas and strawberries. A little guar or Xanthan Gum (1/4 teaspoon) helps for a smoother texture with fruit too.
The only downside to Fairlife is its price. It's very very expensive compared to regular milk.
So with fair life having about 10 ingredients in it already and you adding 1 more ingredient on top of that, how is this a 1 ingredient ice cream?
It's one ingredient for whoever is making it. I'm trying to show how simple this machine can be. A lot of people get overwhelmed using this machine and having to buy all this new stuff to use it. Sorry if you feel this is misleading. I see what you are saying, but I don't think it is.
I tried it with just the milk and xantham gum and it was not good. Did not taste like chocolate ice cream, just frozen chocolate milk.
Add 1 tablespoon of cocoa powder for each cup of Fairlife chocolate milk. You can also add 1/2 to 1 tablespoon of Allulose sweetener but is not necessary. So about 2 cups Fairlife chocolate milk + 2 tablespoons cocoa powder + 1/4 teaspoon xanthan gum, mix, freeze, spin on light ice cream, add a tad bit of Fairlife chocolate milk to the top and respin for a very good chocolate ice cream. I am working on variants but this is a good go to simple recipe.
great video!! Which is best for icecream: Dymatize ISO100 or Dymatize Elite? I have to buy, and I dont know which to choose... tks!!
I haven't tried Elite, but I looked it up and think the Whey version is very close to ISO100. Similar ingredients, but Elite has 2g more Fat/serving making me think it would likely make for better Ice Cream, but I haven't tried it. I see they have an Elite Casein. I would avoid that unless you plan to do something like a 1/3 Casein, 2/3 Whey (or other) mix. Since recording this video, I tried some 100% Casein powders and they just tasted dry. I didn't enjoy them on their own, but will be using it in combination with other other powders. Hope that helps and thanks for the positive comment!
Have been using a lot of Isopure lately. Any idea where it falls in this pecking order?
Really enjoyed! Love the tool you have linked. Would love to see you continue to add more brands over time. Have been enjoying Myprotein and Transparent Labs products for shakes. Haven't gotten around to putting them in Creami yet, but might be worth a go.
Thanks! I definitely plan to keep trying more brands and updating the tool. Right now though, I'm trying to work through what I've got while testing new recipes. The cottage cheese + protein powder recipe I cover in this vid is still my favorite, but trying to reduce my dairy intake.
Was horrible.. nothing like ice cream
Love these comparison videos! Great job! New subscriber! 👍🏻
I did pudding mix and I put the whole bag in. It just looked like pudding. It’s freezing now. I’m worried it’s gonna be too thick. This is my first batch ever.
How'd it go? I think it'd be too thick, 2 Tbsp is the most I ever tried.
@@LowCalNinja-qf4ye It actually came out really good. It tasted exactly like those Healthy Choice fudge bars. I probably wouldn't do it again, but it was interesting.
Have you considered finding the best unflavored protein powder to use as a base to add my own flavors ?
I have, but don't think I'll be getting to it anytime soon. Any recommendations?
Thank you, exactly what I was looking for.
Video too close to see what was going on
I get our protien powder from Costco the Creamy Chocolate fudge one. Its really good and has Xanthan gum in it so for the second chocolate ice cream I make I will add that to thicken it and make it not so icy. This is our second time using the NInja creami though so we have to wait I just made it just a little while ago. Its now 3:35 am.
Love my creamie! Had to stop eating it everyday, was gaining weight even though it was all low calorie, low carb? Thanks for sharing 🙏
Be careful of Carrageenan! Do your research it’s not good.
Dude what’s ur ewccomdnation fro best protein powder you can find at Walmart
Premier protein's chocolate milkshake is pretty good. Not a big fan of their vanilla though. If they have Dymatize ISO that's a good vanilla. Check out the report I have linked in the description for more brand specific recs
