The Goose Guild Announcement.

It's getting goosey. Also, apologies for the poor camera quality. This was recorded in a bit of a hurry, so having time to set up the highest quality camera and lighting wasn't exactly possible. I am doing the incredibly unwise thing to do by making my first series review on my channel to be the wacky world of Metal Gear. In this entry, I will be looking at the 1987 MSX release of the original Metal Gear. I do not own the rights to any music used in the video. I also (unless specified) did not create any of the images used in the video.

Title hopefully says it all. This video was created as a passion project of sorts, and I'm hoping you as the viewer can feel that sense of passion from the video. It's not perfect, but I think this will give a taste of whether or not my creative ideas and sense of a channel can succeed or just flop. I do not own the rights to any of the music used in this video. I just love me some good 3DS tra...
You have a unique pacing and cadence to ur edits. Keep going
the next matpat
At this point I have realized I am much more a game collector (/entertainment value potential collector) than I am an actual gamer. Needless to say, I have a backlog I will NEVER get to before I die.
My personal interpretation of this game and there are many. But obviously we know the theme of this game is genetics and escaping pre-determinism. But I also kind of think Kojima has never made a game that is not about himself in a way. This game is essentially a series of boss fights. For a game where your expressed purpose is to avoid killing and use stealth. You do a lot of fighting. And everyone wants to fight you. Snake is adamant he is not a hero but a killer. And yet. He begins to defy is genes to save the allies he encounters. My personal interpretation is that maybe Kojima was grappling with his own purpose as a games designer. What is the role of violence in video games? Why does he have to keep making metal gear games? Maybe he just wants to tell stories. Each metal gear game is like a boss fight. The thing he has to do. And a big part of him is drawn to the violence too. Yet, I think it was during this game where he began to dream of developing a video game where you don’t have to kill people. Something which would have been extremely novel for an action game in 1998. So I think it is interesting that the first game he developed with his freedom was… death stranding.
Oh man. I’m jealous of you. I wish I could play resident evil games over again. Unpopular opinion but you can leave code Veronica for last. It was truly amazing for its time but hasn’t aged as well as the original trilogy. 5 and 6 are alright. I’d wait for remakes of those. Skip the first game and play the HD remaster. But do play the OG 2/3. My recommendation would be Resident Evil HD remake RE 2 RE 3 RE 2 remake RE 3 remake RE 4 remake RE 7 RE village Then go back and try 0, code Veronica, 5, 6, and the revelations games if you like. These games haven’t aged as well but they still have their fans that would disagree with me leaving them off my essentials list. I actually really enjoy 0 with a few mods. I try to turn my brain off and just enjoy the atmosphere. But I know I’m in the minority on that one. Despite it being one of my all time favorites I feel like the remake has made RE4 redundant. But there’s an upscale mod that makes that game quite amazing on its own. So, I still think it’s worthwhile to play it. Just not necessary. I like to say this franchise is not about scaring you. It is horror in a different sense. It’s about making you uncomfortable and then providing you the tools to make yourself comfortable. That comfort you get is like nothing else for me. Solving a puzzle, saving enough ammo to overpower the next fight. Getting to a save room. Uncovering the mysteries of the environment and story. It’s crack! Despite the games taking place in often gross environments and being filled with monsters. They are some of the most cozy games I can think of. It’s so weird. But I promise you. They are cozy. It’s not nostalgia either. I believe it’s deliberately designed that way.
Organizing my backlog is a game of its own for me. I organize it by genre, time to beat, review score, franchise, and console generation. I prioritize shorter games. And I like to play two games, one older and one newer game at a time.
DUDE i thought i was the only one that did this my backlog will have every final fantasy game when ive never played it next to a 2 hour final fight game. I think my backlog is around 1000 total including my almost 100 beat. I started last march
Same with the finishing games god knows there's no reason to play sonic 3d blast and it's not an enjoyable gameplay experience but I forced myself to
I feel like the only reason to have a backlog is the discover what you like and we don't like. I like Zelda games real time strategy games Ys games and Spyro the dragon. Mario 64 was the only good 3D Mario game I played Mario Odyssey does not have the spirit and I felt like it was a waste of time. Xenoblade Chronicles 2 had a wonderful story but the tutorial was incredibly annoying. Zelda games and anything that are fantasy action adventures like Kena Bridge of spirits are usually really good. My dad played command and conquer Red alert and as a result I love real time strategy games.
You realize How Long To Beat is also a website for keeping track of your backlog/currently playing/completed games/wishlist, right? With the "how many hours would your whole backlog take" feature built in
Man I didn't wanna hear I played New super mario bros. 17 years ago today
Awesome video 👍
Hey man I get it. Sometimes you just don't feel happy with a certain video and that really sucks. I'm sure if you do ever release that metal gear 3 video it'll be a worthy watch. Or just take ur time making things or do something different. Also really nice editing and humor on this video jaag!
18:09 based, ys seven truly is one of the best PSP games.
When you start getting into Emulation you gonna unlock thousands of title of backlog, now I just choose whatever I feel like
Seriously. I already have dozens of purchased games I haven’t played. Now I also have emulation. I have a whole excel spreadsheet that is a game of its own in organizing what I’ll play next lol
I like your video a lot, but I will say, you have a lot of quick key frames of text, throughout the video, that you have to pause constantly, in order to read them lmfao! Other than that, solid ass video, homie, keep up the content, I can't wait to see what you do in the future! :)
My new 3ds xl has the joystick imprint on the top screen. As does My original 3ds My pokemon x and y blue 3ds xl doesn't tho.
This guy didn’t wish me goodnight
What have I gotten myself into?
Too long and not well presented That's a 10 min video stretches to 30 min like Nintendo trying to stretch sales as long as possible
Watching this on the final day of the Eshop. 🥲
Good content bro
damn this is REALLY underrated
My listening to this when trying to get through my model kit backlog lol
You never truly answered the question... 🤣🤣🤣 Give me back my 20 minutes, please!
Good video!! Bit heavy on the split second text gags, though--I'm often on mobile and it's a pain to read them all. Would you mind keeping them on screen a bit longer? Other than that, this was great and really made me appreciate the positives of something generally spoken of negatively in the community. Keep it up!
This here, split second is annoying and detracts from the video for me unless I rapid pause and rewind.
About 2% of games on PSN are worth a damn. It's crazy to think about. Not just the random mobile and flash games but console experiences.
gee i sure love pausing the video every 2 seconds (great content i’m just messin)
Wow I’m surprised u only have around 300 subs by watching ur video i thought you would have around at least more than 100k which imo u deserve more lmao but yeah good video to go over what the 3ds started and ended with and like u said the 3ds will always have a special place in my heart
I feel this video went threw highschool with my 3ds I feel like it was universal that it ended when I left highschool to show that I am am adult now so I say good bye to the 3ds you gave me a good childhood you will be missed all your games Miiverse wallpapers eshop pokemon X and Y and smash bros

Legit epic video
Very well spoken. Subscribed.
Can’t sleep I have a sore throat
Great video! Im glad i found it
The 3ds's 3d feature was EXTREMELY underutilized. People just straight up refused to embrace it and it pisses me off.
Rip the 3ds
Great video! I experienced this game through the Game Grumps. Can’t believe it’s been so long ago
This video was awesome! I grew up on the DS but the 3DS was my senior year of high school and college handheld. I didn’t play as much 3DS as I would’ve liked
I never knew about badges on the 3DS
I also just learned about Project Restoration! Perfect timing as I’m playing through MM3D currently and it’s my first experience with MM
Ahh the Nintendo 3ds one of my favorite game systems of all time.
Me still chilling with my DS Lite: Hol’up, nostalgia for the 3DS? But it’s so new-oh wait I completely missed it
so many good times with the 3DS! I love this console so much
I can relate too your affection, even if i whould'nt put this as one of my top 10 favorites, still it holds a special place in my heart. And personally speaking it introduced me to the smash bros series, which then led me to become a nintendo nerd, which then let me being the biggest gamer in high school, i was and still is extroverted irl and whould garintee bring over a console i choosed whould fit my friend groups tastes. So the 3ds really shaped me too, and thank you for making this for us fans :D
Great video ..i loved it and the story from the first till "the end " was beautiful..good job and best wishes in your life👋❤⚘
It's been a journey. It started with that first light blue 3ds model. I fear it may be time to port the data to an emulator. No longer getting any tags. The last blue light was about another feature biting the dust. I just came across an Amazon listing of the exact model I have where they are scalping at a price of over $1,000. It's a sad ending for a great handheld. Nintendo has been notorious for shadow killing previous gen hardware.
I love meggle man x
