Ideas can be found in the strangest of places. Let me share what I've learned throughout my time spent gaming. Maybe you'll find use for this knowledge outside of the gaming world. Just maybe.

What I Learned From Hades
Hey guys, Tomato here (or Mato for short). I've been planning to slowly branch out and make videos about other games. This does not mean the Overwatch guides will end, but every now and then I'd like to make a video in this style. I have a bunch planned that I just haven't gotten around to making for both Overwatch and outside of Overwatch. This is a similar topic to something I've covered in a past video, but approached from a different angle. I decided to call it "incremental improvement" and I doubt this is an original concept, but it's the name I've chosen. Always remember that if you have big plans, it takes time to get to where you want to be and sometimes it can be hard to pinpoint...

Overwatch Guides - How to Make Better Decisions (Improving Game Sense)
Просмотров 3,6 тыс.2 месяца назад
Hey guys, Tomato here (or Mato for short). I wanted to share my way of describing how to improve game sense. It's not an exact science, so it's tough to guide someone through. I noticed that it's a commonly searched topic among Overwatch players, so I decided to give my take on it. I think the way I broke it down is a mostly accurate way of describing it. I guess it can also be called decision ...
Why Games Introduce New Ranks
Просмотров 12 тыс.3 месяца назад
Hey guys, Tomato here (or Mato for short). I wanted to make this video to explain why all of these different competitive games like Overwatch, Valorant, League of Legends, and Apex Legends introduce new ranks. The player bases' average skill levels rapidly increase with population growth and time. Measuring this increase can be hard since it happens gradually day by day, but once a few years pa...
Do Roles Still Matter in Overwatch?
Просмотров 3,6 тыс.3 месяца назад
Hey guys, it's Tomato here (or Mato for short). I wanted to discuss the new damage role passive and give my take on the direction Overwatch is headed. To me it feels like we're going in 2 different directions with balance and there seems to be a large divide between players across different skill ranges about how they feel about these directions. What I'm suggesting in this video could maybe he...
Overwatch Guides - How to Position (Things to Consider)
Просмотров 63 тыс.4 месяца назад
Hey guys, it's Tomato here (or Mato for short). It's finally time. After all the times I've spoken poorly about positioning, it's my turn to make a positioning guide. To me, it feels likes it has turned into a meme with how often players/streamers/social media'ers will say you need to work on your positioning. It's almost like a cop out for when someone doesn't know what to tell you. So here's ...
Overwatch Tank Guides - How To Junker Queen
Просмотров 23 тыс.4 месяца назад
Hey guys, Tomato here (Or Mato for short). Although I'm a support main, I still do play other roles. I won't say I'm the best at them, but there are certain heroes that I'd say I've learned a lot from playing them a lot. Junker Queen in particular is a hero that a lot of people don't consider to be that great, but I wanted to showcase just how dangerous she can be in the right hands. I've never...
What it Takes to Reach Grandmaster/Champion (The Mindset for Mastery)
Просмотров 3,8 тыс.5 месяцев назад
Hey guys, Tomato here (or Mato for short). I wanted to make guides for the other 2 roles since a lot of you seemed to like my support guide. Unfortunately, I don't play DPS or tank that often so my advice couldn't go as deep as it did in my support video, but I hope my explanation of how to get to GM (or maybe even top 500) in general is of use. It really comes down to your mindset and not thin...
"I Hate This Game"
Просмотров 2,5 тыс.5 месяцев назад
Hey guys, Tomato here (Or Mato for short). I wanted to bring up something that has affected me and I know other people have experienced. The feeling of trying to find something you've lost, but not knowing what that something is. I like to relate my RUclips videos to videogame experiences, but the things aren't always about only videogames. I hope if you watch this, that you find what you're lo...
What is Game Sense? (and How it's Used in Overwatch)
Просмотров 15 тыс.5 месяцев назад
Hey guys, Tomato here (Or Mato for short) There were a few comments on my "Overwatch is for Boomers" video that said my gameplay doesn't look GM. Well I am GM. So, how is it that I made it there if my gameplay doesn't look that great? The only thing I can think of is my game sense, but I'll be honest, I don't know what GM gameplay is even supposed to look like. Are we only using top content cre...
Fortnite's Infinite Success
Просмотров 1,7 тыс.6 месяцев назад
Hey guys, Tomato here (Or Mato for short) This is actually a remade version of a video I set to private. I wanted to try and explain why Fortnite is able to stay relevant for as long as it has. There are very few games that stay in the spotlight for so long ( Counter-Strike, LoL, Dota, CoD, Apex, Overwatch) without dimming out. So what is it that Fortnite does to keep this going? I think Epic h...
Overwatch is for Boomers (Highly Accessible)
Просмотров 14 тыс.6 месяцев назад
Hey guys, Tomato here (or Mato for short). Going over something that I think Overwatch does right although it doesn't get as much recognition for it. Many more popular games, such as Fortnite or Apex, have increased their skill ceilings so much that it has alienated the less dedicated player base. They have modes that account for this, but if you have a competitive nature , it can be hard to ac...
Do Tierlists Really Matter?
Просмотров 1,3 тыс.7 месяцев назад
Hey guys, it's Tomato here (or Mato for short). This time I wanted to give my thoughts on competitive tierlists. A lot of us look towards GM1 and Top 500 players to gain insight on what's good, and while they are a good source of information, they don't always know what's best. There are up and coming players that may shift their entire world view and create new metas. I've seen it happen in a ...
You Suck (How to actually climb)
Просмотров 4,2 тыс.7 месяцев назад
Hey guys, Tomato here (Or Mato for Short) This time I'm here to roast those of you that blame all of your losses on outsides sources. How do you expect to reach GM or the top 500 when you think that none of the problems you're having have anything to do with your skill? The can only climb in any competitive mode if YOU get better. This goes for a ton of other games Valorant, Apex, Fortnite, Lea...
Overwatch Support Guides - How to Moira
Просмотров 2,5 тыс.7 месяцев назад
Hey guys, Tomato here (Or Mato for short) this time I've got a Moira guide for you. Moira is one of my top 3 most played supports, because she's mostly my default pick when I don't know what else to play. People have this misconception with Moira that you shouldn't be DPSing with her, but I find that that is the best way to play her in a way. You still wanna heal your team, but you'll wanna con...
Overwatch Support Guides - How to Support (How I reached GM)
Просмотров 48 тыс.7 месяцев назад
Hey guys, Tomato here (Or Mato for short) I realized that I was making Overwatch support guides for each hero, but I neglected to mention how to play the support role in general. Kind of a huge thing to miss. So here it is! My overall support role guide told through the story of how I kept getting hardstuck, and how I eventually climbed out to GM by shifting my focus and mentality. It can be to...

Mato Plays: Lies of P - Donkeys and Ladders
conclusion: fuck it we ball mentality 24/7
Best thing to do in lower ranks is adjust to your team. Rein keeps pushing to enemy spawn: lifeweaver Genji or D va is killing your team: Moira Hog or orisa doesn’t die: Ana or zen Mercy or Pharah killing team: Illari/ Bap And so on… Support is all about adjusting to teammates and countering as much as possible.
Very insightful.
gonna say it now, the ana aim assist is S T R O N G
That ending phrase was funny. If you lost, it's always a tank diff 😆
Instructions unclear, my room is full of holes but i still lose
Why not Blade and then Axe?
So what you're saying is that every third game when I get flamed for not healing enough as Bap, my response SHOULDN'T be to completely dismiss their messages just because my WR is 55%? Interestingly valid point, but that's less fun so...
Dude I finally got gold 3 after before hardstuck silver and I’ve been on the worst loss streak of my life 😭
Low elo support is so annoying, people expect you to babysit them and bail them out of their own dumb decisions. I play mostly dps but when I play support I do my best to both heal AND pump damage and people in lower ranks don't understand that supports are meant to do damage too, not just the respective roles. The ego and not willing to admit you fucked up in lower ranks is insane. It's always someone else's fault.
Is by far the best advice of gotten
Value infos thank bro
4:16 Everytime someone calls me out for playing bad I always lock in and play better but idk maybe that's just me
Should also talk about your position as support where to stand and where to take cover...
I played WoW arena. Positioning and remembering cooldowns is KEY. I am close to diamond. Let's go :)
Great video keep up the good work, you deserve more subs for these kinds of videos short and sweet but very informative!
so basically just CUT CUT CUT CUT CUT CUT CUT CUT CUT CUT!!
Tanks take note. Before you start crying about not being healed, ask yourself “am I not being healed? Or is it that I’m standing out in the wide open and getting focus fired?”
playing with a mouse to me seems very crazy stuff :D awesome video though!
This is a masterpiece Well done
moira on top
i support diff every game with healing and dmg idk why im not ranking up
It's really well made video, keep it up mate. Also liked the life lesson lmao
I was stuck bronze 5 for 3 seasons, now I'm high silver low gold but I've been stuck here for a few seasons too
Great video idea
Take space and hold space is valuable for positioning. It's an objective based game
Nice guide, thanks!
Thank you! I will keep all this in mind while playing from now on, and I hope I will be able to understand what my issues are and get better 💪
It's so nice for new player to have such quality guide. I suffer by having to experience it by myself for in the past
JQ main here. Maybe I missed it but you didn’t mention stacking bleeds like from your abilities and whatnot for sustain when needed
6:10 that mcree definitely got an earful from the friendly rein after waking the enemy rein
How to deal with Sombra and tracer as ana ? Is it certain death ?
really good video
Good advice helped me better understand
Whats the song? Love it
It's called Ceremonial Library by Asher Fulero or If you're talking about at the very end, it's called Chasing Down a Vision by Bail Bonds
Me watching this to play quick play: mmh yes, climbing, i see
1:19 stuff like this is my favourite part of this game. I'm a sigma main but I love learning little tricks like this to use in match ups. and learning the tricks opponents will use against me.
Simplest version use your brain 🧠
If you have wound damage ongoing but finish them with a shotgun, do you still get the heals?
Yes
Nice vid…. I’m a OW2 noob only just hit 40 hours, but not a fps noob by any means, so for me my game knowledge is lacking in the depth but my awareness and prediction are off the charts hit plat tank in S4 my first and only current ranked history…. My main issue is zarya is it the bubble laser one, I get don’t shoot her etc and as a tank it’s a breeze to bully her with the likes of Orisa…but how the hell do dps and supports deal with her as a solo queue on a brain dead team who take the don’t shoot her part a bit too far and ignore her completely 🙃😂
I'll be getting into rank this season but it all boils down if the players focus supports /healers or they all choose to shoot zarya while bubbled while that will give her energy. it's just situational idk low ranks is a shit fest
This is the best informative overwatch channel on RUclips
What a lad making this masterpiece
Thanks, Mato!
So basically, girl rein
Well No
Not in the sleightest.
No, JQ spends more time poking than brawling.
@@dear_saturn the jewish question?
you could be the voice actor for Bob of Bob's Burgers next kid 💯
Just started playing and my autistic ass has already figured out the basics of those 3 tips but starting out in low silver its impossible. People don't understand roles or what characters to use. I've had 35k 30a 4 deaths 10k damage and 15k healing then the next 5 games 1k 0a 1kdamage 1k healing and 15 deaths. 1 decent tank and then 5 dive bombing tards.
Characters I used to climb out of silver was Brig and Ana mainly, Ana can punish dive as well as Brig where you can proc inspire while knocking them back
Thank you so much for creating this video. When I got her, I tried to protect my teammates from enemies, and always died. And now, as I learned, everyone is asking me in the chat, why am I not defending them. And I answer with only one thing- Skill issue
Deserves more than 10k views 🔥
The number one difference between lower ranked feeders and players in decent elos is positioning. Lower ranked players are so easy to hit taking massive damage. Standing in the open etc
“just don’t die” got that part down now why do my dps have 25 deaths, less damage, and less kills than i do. i go on losing streaks so often bcz of DPS players not fucking doing the bare minimum of their job. APPLY THE PASSIVE! like bro i get pressured so hard as the tank and i live through it all but the enemy tank also gets out scot free bcz my dps cant aim for shit.
