Tips from a fellow 40ish person 1. The tall being that was attacking you is called an Enderman. Don’t look him in the eye and he won’t attack. 2. Make a bed as quick as you can. You need three wool and then you can sleep through the night, it goes so much faster that way. 3. When you die, you can still pick up your stuff. When you respawn, go to the area where you died and as long as you haven’t been longer than 5 minutes it’ll still be there. 4. Animals often get stuck on doors. The best thing to do is break the door then replace it after. 5. Dogs are tamed by bones, you get them from killing skeletons. 6. You can put torches on fences. It helps to lessen the bad guys if you light outside. 7. It’s really smart to dig in the area where you find diamonds as there are often ones hidden close. 8. You will find unfinished portals all around your world. The best thing to do with them is just empty out the chest that spawns near them. Wait until later and you can collect obsidian to build a portal.

The way stairs are placed depends on how you're looking at the block you're placing them on. If you put them on top of a block, or you're looking at the bottom half of the side, then the stairs will be upright. If you put them on the bottom of a block, or you're looking at the top half of the side, then the stairs will be upside-down.

Work benches in villages are great to collect like the brewing stand you past on it allows you to make potions but its recipe to make is a more difficult to gather so locating one or stealing one helps to skip the grind

Best advice: Don't even bother with the legendary fish until you have access to the Statue of Blessings. Whenever you receive the Blessing of Waters, go to catch the legendary fish for the season you're on. There's a pretty decent chance you'll hook it within the first 3 tries. I successfully caught all base legendary fish with this method and very minimal effort. Trap bobber and deluxe bait was it, I didn't even eat to boost my fishing level and The Legend was easier to catch than a pufferfish! 😁

I did the community center, community center remix bundles about three times in their entirety and had freaking Clint closed on Fridays. Would take me easy 3 years to get them done. Once I found out I could go the Joja Route and get it all done in a year PLUS the auto petter, I always go the Joja route. Plus they make the movie theater closer which is a bonus in my book

whats the pros and cons if you chose joja? i dont have a problem with legend fish cuz my name is a code whenever they mention my name i get iriduim springler legend fish and ancient seed. should i go for joja route? cuz i think its faster than community center to finish. to my previous game i use the new farm land which i think my biggest mistakes cuz the amount of land i can use for farming is quite little and it also a big place to walking around consume amount of time and we know the time in the game is so faster.

I have done a bunch of challenges where im only allowed to sell a certain category of items (until eventually its time to pursue perfection, but I've never actually gotten that far, and I'd be uber rich already anyway) and its always so much fun. My favorite so far was only selling mining and combat related items: ores, gems, monster loot. (But I can also do anything necessary to complete quests including community center, and so I'm allowed to earn money from quests as well.) So yes I have wanted to only earn gold by fishing 😂 Also... Fun fact... Fish in Hebrew is דג ("Dag") which sounds exactly like dog. Dogfish. Lol

One thing you can change is that, when River fishing, do it in the forest river, not the town river, as you can never get quality fish in the town river due to land always being so close

As for Farming - don't ever buy Speed Gro from Pierre! It costs whooping 100g, while you can buy Deluxe Speed Gro for just 80g at the Oasis on Thursdays! Boycot Pierre! Also, also - after buying the Joja Membership card Joja actually lowers the prizes of their seeds to match Pierre's and since they are open way longer and are located near the minecarts, it's far better to buy from them ;) After you have the Minecarts, you should move your Fishing spot as well. Right next to the mine entrance, you have the bridge and a small ledge next to it - if you fish downwards from said ledge, you will reach the best spot as well (it's not a well-known spot).a

I usually get to level 10 Fishing by Spring 10 (or 11 if I have bad luck, the earliest I managed it is day 8 and I'm by no means a pro). What I see you didn't do is optimize. It's the little things that count the most, especially early game. First of all, move your bed and TV right next to the door-this means you'll be in and out faster. Second, don't water your crops in the morning! Catfish aside, the most profitable fish you can get is Largemouth Bass - those spawn in the mountain lake between 6am and 7pm, so what you want to do on non-rainy days that you will be finishing is dash out the door and fish as soon as you can. Depending on what you want to do else during the day, you would finish accordingly (when I only want to water my crops, I usually head home at around 10pm). Getting perfect catches helps a lot of course, but that's tricky. Another thing that I've noticed is that your spot at the lake is unoptimized as well ;) The best spot early game is next to the first bridge. And there are several reasons why. First, well, it's simply closer, but more importantly - there is a tiny hidden mechanic in the game, where you actually your bobber lands a little bit further when you cast to the side instead of up or down and this makes a huge difference in the quality of fish you get (better quality is not only better cash but also a bit more exp). So, for the best possible spot you want to stand on the start of the bridge - this is the closest to the deepest part of the lake. You also should optimize your spot for Catfishing (noticed that you had mostly poor quality while you should be getting only gold ones later on). The last piece of advice I can give you regarding Fishing - rush the bridge at the Beach. The Bait Maker is huge! Both for levels and for cash (you will need iron for this, but it's a worthy investment - with Bait Maker you can get about 50 Catfish through one rainy day!). Edit: another little tip - take the Fish Smoker with you and smoke the fish while fishing (it takes very little time and this way you can process waaaay more fish and get more cash). You might want to consider taking a Charcoal Klin on top of it or you'll get through your coal too fast ;) Also - try to stay with 0 money - this way you can pass out without losing any - it's sometimes useful in the early game. And since energy is always an issue - try to time it so that you don't have any left at the end of the day. For energy - eat Carrots, Algae, Chubs and Smallmouth Bass (it's more efficient than eating something like Carps or even Parsnips).

I find fishing in the 4 “special” spots: the rock on the beach, in front of the blue door in town, near the log in the mountain, and at the southern point on the island in the Forrest, generally gets me iridium quality fish and this bigger fishing profits.

I did the Riverland farm and Joja my last play thru but my goal was mastery soon as possible and perfection. I used a training rod for better chance of perfect catches for a few levels. I fished in front of Leah's with a chest for quality catfish in the deeper zone. Lake fish for experience and Largemouth to smoke on non rainy days and Treasure chest and perfect catches on bullhead goes hard. I didn't fish the farm too much cause the wiki says 70 percent river fish and 30 percent lake fish I believe. I didn't want the mixer. Think I was level 10 fishing about spring 14 but i was working on everything. I added The Legend to the fish pond. Caught him on the 22nd or so after a couple of resets. Bad luck on getting him to bite. Much later on i finished Joja cause I wasn't ready for Ginger Island in the first place.

I just cant separate my discord audio. I have my mic separate from gameplay but it doesn't work with discord I only have the one box selected but shows up on like 3 different tracks is it because I have a headset? so its pushing all audio through one device

To speed up your fishing skill gain, use fishing spots like crazy. Some game seeds are better for that, some worse. You can get to lvl 10 fishing within a few days, check videos on catching the legend as early as possible, which means lvl 7 fishing on day 2 at least. Usually, it is a mixture of using fishing spots, getting as many perfect catches as possible and also getting as many treasure chests as possible. If you want to go really crazy, you could also use crab pots and fish ponds to supplement your income. A fish pond with catfish lets them accumulate slowly, so you can fish one out every couple of days. Also the roe gives you fishing XP plus is additional income.

Also i think that the fiberglass rod is definitley a good investment early on. If you try and meet all the npcs, and donate an artifact on day 1 or 2, it's possible to buy it and some bait before Willy closes on day 2. It normally pays for itself within a day and helps a bunch if you're trying to hit level 10 earlier than day 14. You just have to try and hit level 2 before he closes otherwise it wont be in stock.

Aside from not realising you could fish for catfish on the farm itself, you should have fished for them south of leahs house, or south of jodis so you can guarantee a gold quality catch. The bridge spot where you were was too narrow, and made it so you could only catch regular quality catfish. Regular quality catfish at lvl 10 is only worth 300 gold, gold star 450, and iridium 600.

I’d suggest using crab pots to supplement fishing xp however they cost too much for what they give when purchased from Willy.

My Astarion has his unimproved starting strength he had out of the box and he could not do this because he could not jump far enough to get up on that platform as you described. I switched to Halsin to do this and he could jump it and he got through it with panther invisibility and raven size and flight and without using any potions or scrolls! Thanks for the guide! This was my second play through and I remembered that fight as grueling. I was glad to skip it this time.
