Seems like one of those VA raters that "develop to deny" even when one clearly has sufficient and actionable medical evidence.

I’ve always been stuck between a rock and a hard place when they ask about the questions of suicidal ideology. Every doctor I’ve ever been to has always said everything you tell me has 100% confidentiality EXCEPT if you mention that you want to hurt yourself or others. I was always concerned about the “red flag“ aspect that they could take me into custody for a mandatory 24 hour 48 hour or whatever the hell lock up for mental evaluation. A huge part of my mental condition is that thing and I can’t remember the name, but it is similar to claustrophobia when I am trapped someplace, and I cannot get out. Obviously being locked in some room for some observation would skyrocket that aspect. Add to that, my version of golfing or bass fishing whatever type of hobby is I like to go to the range and target shoot and try to outdo my own score on a paper target. Well, of course that means firearms and if they think you’re suicidal and they want a red flag you and come in and take the firearms away, well you see where I’m going with that. And so consequently, none of my psychiatric doctors or counselors or medical doctors whenever they would bring up the nasty S word I would always say no and deny it so now I have no back history of it to fall back on and show. It’s a Catch-22 situation.

I’m currently at 80 percent service connected for ptsd. I was abused by another service member and was often hit in the head. I now have mild memory loss. My VA records state the abuse but would this be a claim worth opening?

What about PTSD due to a car accident? What about Major Depressive Disorder due to a miscarriage?

The other not so funny point is that this so-called rater referenced a DBQ as fraudulent for no real reason except the distance between the patient and their doctor. I'm starting to believe that they are being trained that veterans are like parasites and need to be stopped at all costs. this is because this f=ed up thought process of "fraud "is being widely expressed through VBA employees' actions in claims. what a crap person, raters like these are. they need to rate according to the evidence and avoid personal thoughts or bias. and the fact that she commented at home depicts the fact that it stews in her mind constantly even when not working claims.

Im curious why you say you don't get c&p exams. I got all my c&p exams my vso did it but I thought they give you exams no matter what

Myself and dozens of Vets live across China, Viet-Nam and other Asian nations with our spouses and kids. Because we have family here, not into the communist thing. VA wants to send us to OTHER countries for C&P, not just other states. Korea and the Philippines for some. This is very difficult when you need to travel to another nation where you run into a lot of issues the first time there, lodging in other nations and then talk to strangers that are paid by QTC or other with clear anti vet bias. But we need to do our part in the process. Some VA employees are great, others have that "You chose to live there" BS attitude and make it harder than needed. Many vets have little choice, live in another nation where you can feed and house your family, or back home on welfare while struggling. Many of our brothers and sisters back home are doing just that in America, hugs to them all. Thank you for all your help to our vet family.

I got my 100% VA P&T 2 weeks ago

Dewayne, besides medical documenation/diagnoses, do 'Training records' or Certificates help in filing a claim for certain conditions/illnesses/symptoms to show that we did certain taskings that may have contributed to those things? Inquiring about this for us Desert Shield/Storm era vets that were in Saudi Arabia/Persian Gulf areas.

Question: if the condition was caused by a VA hospital, can I get higher disability claim?

Thank you so much for all of your detailed information. I recently filed a for breast cancer diagnosed in October 2023. I had a tumor removed along with the removal of one lymph node in November 2023, and had 4 weeks of radiation treatments from February-March 2024. I was in Iraq from January 2005 to August 2005, around burn pits, fumes and breathing in other irritants as well. I filed it as a PACT Act claim so I thought I did everything correct. I went to my C&P exam thinking everything was okay. I was denied. I am already at 100% P&T so I thought I may get SMC for that. Nobody in my family never had any type of cancer, not parents or siblings. The examiner opined “The claimed condition was less likely than not(likelihood is less than approximately balanced or nearly equal) caused by the indicated toxic exposure risk activity(ies). The letter does say that favoring findings identified in this decision. It notes that service connection has not been linked to the deployment of invasive ductal carcinoma, so no nexus is established. I looked up Invasive ductal carcinoma and it is the most common type of breast cancer. So should I file a Supplemental Claim? Sorry this was so long but what do you think? I do have your book but do you think you can make a video on this subject as well. Thanks for your advice.

Current diagnosis in the VA hospital, they didn't bother looking at it. Instead responded by saying I did not submit a current diagnosis

54 years old USMC Veteran 100PT as of May 24. The Regional Office played with my claims for 30 years. I was not educated about the supplement and higher level review process in the 90s and 2000s. If it wasn't for a fellow service member i ran into in 2018, who gave me more insight into reapplying for my disability compensation, I don't think I would have bothered. Thank you for step by step procedural to get the compensation most of us are qualified to receive to help ourselves and our families.

Is health issue the same like a condition? My doc doesn't write condition, he puts health issues instead

My CP examiner stated less than likely for tinnitus. Will the rater read my statement and look at my records being infantry for 5 years, award me tinnitus.

Hey Dewayne I'm working with this lawyer firm Woods and Woods that appealing my claims for conditions that were denied by an hearing officer for IBS and gastritis that I was hospitalized while in service and I been dealing with stomach pain every since leaving service. It's documented in my service medical records but still get denied what could be the reason for denial

Can the VA be so cruel. Got denied OSA. made so many complaints and issued a cpap machine in service. Got diagnosed 2 months after discharge.

Good video as usual Sir - Dewayne i filed for TBI rating specialist denied the claim but stated that the VA examiners diagnosed me with TBI i didn't wait for the CD from my fioa request i filed a HLR because i knew the exam went 💯 i knew that the rater didn't reference the examiner medical opinion because it was positive - HLR stated a different of opinion he comes the shocker Dewayne i got the CD a few days again The examiner wrote me a positive medical opinion and the DBQ to rate the claim here is the daming part the VA examiner requested a headache DBQ and a medical opinion for dizziness/Vergo the other VA examiner wrote me a positive medical opinion about Vergo/dizziness she did the DBQ for headaches but i was already 50 percent for headaches she did a new one again i had 4 positive exams and the original rater still denied the claim - This is crazy with my claims crazy things been happening to my claims since 2011-2024 - I can't believe the raters and examiners put there shenanigans on paper guess they know checks and balances really exists at the VA

Dewayne I’m disappointed with my VA rating at 40% waivers. I started with 30% about 7 years ago, last month I was approved 10% for blood pressure medication, I’m a Vietnamese Era 20 years in the Marines Corps, still trying to increase my VA rating.

On your initial claim, can you allege Tinnitus and other conditions (secondary) at the same time?

The public DBQs dont have a section for medical opinions. In the C-File, that is a separate document filed by the C&P examiner at the same time as the DBQ. Wont the VA rater still have to get a medical opinion for DBQs submitted without a nexus letter, still requiring a C&P examination?

The question is, will I have time to change my dependents before I receive my backpay and first monthly payment?

Does the VA have any special ratings for Army Veterans who served at Ft. McClellan Alabama? Ft. McClellan is widely know as the most toxic fort in U.S history. My daughter was born with a birth defect and my son has an inoperable brain tumor. I have been sick for the past 35 years. I’ve heard that if you buy property on what use to Ft. McClellan you have to sign a waiver from the EPA that says you will never dig in the soil, you will never grow a garden, you will never walk barefoot, you will never chew gum outside and you will never drink well water from the area.
