I actually didn't like Dwyane's commentary, until I started listening to his radio show! I found the loudness and change in volume too annoying. But his wisdom amd expertise from his show, changed my view of him. TV commentary is unlistenable! Not just because of that ride umpire mic, forcing the viewer to hear EVERY bluddy whistle! But the radio has always been superior in every way! Footy and cricket!

"Go-home" Is not actually a thing! It is a myth, created by player agents and supported by the media, to make more money! Don't believe me? Okay, yes 18-19 year olds get homesick. How many other kids just moved away for university, btw? What other sport (Or profession, they are PROFESSIONAL athletes after all) Tennis, golf, you travel to different cities, different countries, week in, week out! Giants slide I reckon. Nett transactions negative. Saints top 8. Underrated both top age players and youth. Finished 8/4 last half last year with some serious running power and improving youth. Ross the boss never missed top 4 in 3rd year as coach. Always underestimated.

As a Port fan I am quite optimistic about getting back into the top 8. The biggest weakness of last year was our forwards this has since been rectified with Luko, Richards and Berry all joining the forwards. In contrast while the loss of Huston hits the defence hard, Port still bet Freo and Hawthorn without him. I think Huston loss won't be as bad as we still have Farrell, Burgoyne, Evens and possibly DBJ back there to account for his absence. Meanwhile, even if Port start yielding more goals it should be counted by kicking more goals. Then again, I could be wrong and the new recruits could suck in attack and Hustons absence could cause our defence to colapse but I am optomistic that we will find a way back into the 8.

I mean I think I agree partly with the Hawks over achieving a little in 2024 but with the recruits they brought in and another year into the younger players. I think they will be huge rises next season.

How did the hawks over achieve? They showed what they could do last year, yes we had a bad start to the year but that was tactical when we went back to our original game plan we were the 4the best team in the comp. Under estimate the Hawks to your peril

Hawthorn did fall off against Port due to no Frost, no Day, no McKenzie, also Sicily wasn’t 100% with his shoulder, also Lewis would have helped. Also we got in Barrass and Battle and haven’t really lost anyone of note and another year of development and cohesion for a young group.

There will be no players of quality of Charlie Cameron, Lachie Neale, Josh Dunkley or Joe Daniher leaving their clubs and going to StKilda like they did to the lions. Who. Is that stupid Saints are just makin up the numbers.

Why stop at 20. 24, 2 divisions. Bottom 2 from Division 1 get relegated. GF teams from Division 2 get promoted. 20th team should be Canberra (Riverina). Add Norwood and maybe Sturt. Draper isn’t going anywhere so long as Essendon find a long term role for him. Personally I like him at CHF as a resting ruck and let Bryan take over as #1 ruck. Goldstein to the VFL and fill in if one of the other two get injured (if he doesn’t retire) which has been Draper’s problem. I just don’t think he’s cut out for a full time ruck role. As a CHF he doesn’t has run as much and Bryan is really good. Draper is a good mark, tall, has explosive speed and kicks straight. CHF! Put Caddy or Langford at FF.

Warner is def going to West Coast. There is too much smoke for it not to happen. It is no coincidence the Eagles also kept their picks for 2025 with Barrass deal and don’t trade them for the 2024 draft. They have the draft picks and money with offloading Barrass and Darling as well as retiring Premiuership stars the last few years.
