First thing I would have done was brought me an hei distributor and throw them old points and coil away.
I like to see young guys like you working on old rides but just don't waste all your money on an old rust bucket ok?
That's not worth a gas tank
That old 69 is a peice of iron even in good shape they ain't worth much that car is not worth fixing Other than sticking an old hunk of tin in that back seat hole if it runs I'd just beat on it and then junk it.n I t worth putting no $ into..
Man I don't have that much time you talk too long
Those hubcaps don't appear to be original. Wire wheel covers was more of a late 70s thing like on my parents 79 Monte Carlo landau. They also bought a 70 Impala custom deluxe brand new off the showroom floor that had more like dog dish type hubcaps
Allen! Come back! I need to see this girl in action
Little Arches 😂lol I love it ! Their called Skirts My Homiey 👍🏼
Thanks for the video. My son's '76 is leaking bad, so this will get us well prepared. When building the truck, we added AC, which is below the dash on the passenger side. Like dominos.
Great video. It has been about 30 years since I last changed mine so needed a refresher on it.
Hello from Germany wher can i buy floor panel 55 Mercury Can you send me info pleas
I need to install a heater box in mine when I got it it didn't have the heater core box but I don't think you have to remove the fan because mine was still in the truck and if he had to remove it to get the heater core out he wouldn't of put it back in
I wish my J10 had that sliding rear window
I had a '69 Impala Custom with some super sport options. It had a rebuilt small block LT1 with a lot of other performance upgrades. The original color was the same blue as yours. When I got it it had a new red paint color. I drove the hell out of that car for a good five years. Ended up having to let it go but I sure as hell had a lot of fun owning & driving it......
I had a 69, that was the same color, with a black vinyl top. It was a great looking car!
Nice my favorite year actually and I had 3 64s but the 69s mob harder than the 64s to me
Does the truck use any oil? Just curious
Do you know how to engage 4L on that vehicle? It doesnt feel like the lever wants to move anywhere.
I think im gonna try to buff the paint. Idk if i should do black wheeles or white wheeles with black lug nuts/studs. I dont want to make it look "punk" i really appreciat the classy look.
Does the cruise control actually work? Also does it make good heat? The vinyl has finally laid down for the most part, and the seat is sooo soft👌
Hi! Im 16 and live in alaska. I just purchased a 1976 j20 as my first vehicle a few days ago, im super exited!!🤠 come to find out... Its the exact jeep in this video!!!! I love what you did with the interior! the turbo 400 tranny needs rebuilt bc reverse is gone!😬 as soon as i get a rebuild im gonna lift it and start cruising it all over. This truck has gone to a good home, I promise👍
What happened to the channel? Its entertaining
It looks like the Impala from HotRod Garage David Friburgers car.
Of course it will run its a Chevy you fix it with a hammer!!!
20 years of storage fees?? How many times did you buy that car?
haha. It was only in storage for 6 months. Waiting to get the floors put in, then I'll have that video up!
Lol... I had to put my elco in storage for about $500 worth. Luckily I have sweet Aunt who is allowing me to keep it in her driveway until I get my money right. Life's so expensive nowadays.
good video. As a fellow car youtube channel creator I can relate to the struggles of getting a channel to catch on. I gave you 1 sub, and I hope you get what you need, returning the favor would be appreciated lol. Keep up the good work!
Hi I wonder if you still got the carb I want to buy it and rebuild it I am in WA state
Love these cars. My mission is to find an old 69 needing some love and get it back in good shape so I can teach my grandsons how to drive. And take them cruising in our old hotrod Chevy cranking some old school rock and roll classics.
Thank you for creating this video. Your truck heater is similar to the one in my M715.
Good job fellers; Powerglide or Turbo 350? Currently working on brakes on my ‘69 Caprice. Brake lines no fun at all.😳
Turbo 350 underneath!
1406 Edelbrock is a 600cfm, not a 650.
Macon rhymes with bacon…
The starter you have is for a flex plate that has 168 teeth, hence the diagonal mounting pattern. The one they tried to sell you with the straight bolt pattern is for a 153 tooth flex plate.
the whistling leak is bc you still need that thin stainless plate under the adapter. I know bc I did the same thing on my '69😆
If they used the 2696 adapter, they should be fine. The thin plate is for mounting Performer carbs to certain Edelbrock manifolds, not GM manifolds. I had to use one on my 1406 to 2161 on my 396.
That's the way to go man!
I love your 69 impala I have a 67 impala and I feel you on all your pain and it’s good to see a will it run on a impala love you bro have fun with her and put some sound Spekers in it and bump to some oldies
My uncle has four trucks that he wants to sell
Jeeps?
Begging for info galore!!
Way to go!!! Wow, you need to research P-R-O-M-O-S-M!!!
Really enjoyed the video
I bought a 4 door 1969 Biscayne last may 327 with a powerglide sat since 99. Me and my buddies freed the motor and got it running within 2 days all it took was a set of points (did a full tune up since I did that part) and poured a little tranny fluid into the cylinders and it freed up and doesn't miss a beat now. Love these cars
What's going on with the 69' Impala?
She is in a different state, trying to arrange tickets to fly back & work on her to get yall a video soon!
Keep the Rochester carburetor on that car just rebuild it it's simple do not switch carburetors keep the car original
A while back l had a 83 Chevy van and my brother-in-law had me go to Family Dollar and buy 3 cans of their brand oven cleaner for hot or cold ovens and spray it on my engine let it set for 10 to 15 minutes and hose it off. Worked great my engine looked like new. It had a lot of grease and oil on it.
Those are called fender "skirts"
Take 3k?
Beast
My first 2 cars were 69 Impalas. My dream is to find an old 69 and rebuild it so I can teach my grandsons how to drive with it.
nice car but man put gas in the carb not starting fluid anyway treat her good she will treat you good
Makes me miss my 68 sport coupe, 327 4bbl 4speed 12 bolt posi split bench front seat with tachometer, my dad bought it from his co worker at John Deere in moline IL who special ordered him so close to ss impala, it could of been a twin what fun I had I taught many pretty girls to drive a 4 speed 😉
