Be great to see you back in the saddle doing some more great rides. Also I’ve just got the calimoto app on my I phone and haven’t a clue how to use it! Cheers. Bob.👍🏻😎🏁

    Yer foo o' bleather. The Romans did make it up to Scotland, all the way up the east coast and to the Moray area. They did develop severe mental problems when they found out they could not build straight roads and left the area to the Scots and the Picts.

    Glad to see you out there having fun on the ZZR. I love the ZZR1400, the sound and the style. But for now, the Yzf1000R is my only form of transport. I`m a all year/all weather rider on my Yzf and I get that "1st ride of the season" feeling every day, even through the Mexican lager plague, was so much fun riding on empty roads. ;) Over the past year, I have been getting my ZZR and Z H2 fix from *Goblin RIDES* here on youtube. Welcome back. :) P.s. @9:43 You mentioned, you have a Shoei GT Air mkII. I have the GT Air mkII ~ Deviation TC-9 and would like to know... How did you mount your camera on the *Weirdly shaped* chin bar, without blocking access to the air intake?

    • @TheMotoExplorer
      @TheMotoExplorer 2 года назад

      Thanks for your comment. I admire anybody who rides through the winters in the UK. I’m not sure I’m made of tough enough stuff 😃. I’ve just subscribed to goblin rides - looking forward to watching their vids. Yes, I bought a chin mount from a company called Ride Tech. I think they’re based in Canada. They make mounts that are shaped to match all helmets. I can highly recommend it. The mount was delivered in less than a week a fits perfectly. Another company called Chin Mounts, also based in Canada, make similar.

      @@TheMotoExplorer Thanks for the info` on the chin mounts, I even tried a Klop chin mount, but the way it attached with mini seat belt straps left a gap, so the visor wouldn`t close. and it crushed my chin curtain. I`ll take a look at them, when I get a moment. Thanks again.

    I`m enjoying your content. But, please don`t let Technology spoil your riding or riding experience. Moto Mogul made a video called `Technology is Killing my Ride` and to be honest, that`s what spoiled the experience of the ride for me too. I found that I was spending so much time, charging batteries, resetting my GoPro and setting up gps and repositioning the camera, my ride was been interrupted by unnecessary messing about. Also, I admire you guys that can speak comprehensively and remember what you`re wanting to talk about while concentrating on the road and the mad-heads around you. Keep up the good work, best wishes from the Lone Wolf in the lakes.

    • @TheMotoExplorer
      @TheMotoExplorer 2 года назад

      I can certainly see how this can happen and have definitely been there myself. Running the cameras off of power banks/hard wired into the bike certainly helps because I don’t need to change batteries at all. On a recent motocamping trip to Scotland I did 2 full days of filming/commentary. On the final day I made a point of putting the cameras away and just enjoying the ride home.

    • @TheMotoExplorer

      @@TheMotoExplorer I like the Kendal to Bowness-on-Windermere run. Via Kirkstone pass and down the "Struggles" into Ambleside and on through Windermere to the Glebe in Bowness, then take the Crook road back home to Kendal.... If you fancy a longer run, you could branch off from Kirkstone pass down past Brother`s water towards Thirlmere into Glenridding and from there you`re not far away from Aira force waterfall. Sorry I don`t use Calimoto.

I get 6 weeks holiday, July-August, so plenty of time to get together. Let me know when is good for you and I’ll make plans. On a final note, it’s always sunny and dry on your videos. We're just going to miss each other, my wife and I are heading to Oban in the Motorhome tomorrow for a couple of nights. I have holidays booked the first full week in July and second week in August.
