I find that they are good house guitars...if you're in a bluegrass band with other players it won't deliver the volume needed, but to play at home on your own they are nice

I found $900 Teton guitars as good or better than Martins $1500 or less. But something way better yet for quality and price are Hsienmo from the Chinese luthier. J. P. Cormier just posted an announcement and sound demo video a few days ago. Not all Hsienmo will have a Martin-like sound, but a few of their models will. Carbon fiber rod neck reinforcement and cantilevered fretboard plus all solid wood.

Curious why you didn’t use wood filler putty to fill the holes of both the neck attachment holes as well as the guitar body for the pick guard? When drilling the new holes for the neck the dowel would having grain going a different direction and dissimilar would might cause the drill to go crooked. Just a thought. I’m sure your method works, more work than a tub of putty and a 1” putty knife.

I didn't hate Stratocasters... but the only one I bought in 1991 finally was a Dlx Plus with Lace Sensors, and still for me it's the Strato that fully matches my personal interpretation of this instrument, may be it's not the classic sound, but I do not care, it's just the one I like

No such thing as a Oliver Anthony resonator guitar LoL. The gretsch G-9220 was in production and being sold when Oliver Anthony was out in the outhouse trying to learn how to yodel as a kid' There's cheaper resonators that sounds a lot better is why nobody is talking about them and he's had very little impact on the sales of them.

i have two , the tele and the jag and cannot dial in either to get a good sound in a small room, it is much better if it is louder but in a small room my 250 dollar orangewood outsines it, both are for sale but that is just me

If you’ve got GAS, go for it, but there are acoustic guitar modeling pedals that do the job well. I have a Valeton 200 and it has plenty of acoustic emulators: dreadnaught, parlor, humming bird, classical, etc. sounds excellent, and at $184 it kicks ass. And when I switch out of acoustic MODE my PRS DGT is already in my hands and ripping it up.
