Bought the Ballflight Black Friday of 2023 cause they offered 15% off. I looked at all available options and settled on Ballflight because I wanted to be able to putt and I didn’t want a yearly subscription. I also needed to easily be able to switch from left handed to right handed. Finally two months ago I found time to build an enclosure and hook it up. It came it a nice metal case that would be good for transporting to a range. Also came with special marked Titleist balls and some turf tees. Most disappointing thing is it came with zero instructions. Not even a quick start guide. Had to watch Optishot videos and email support to connect everything and set it up. It was liking pulling teeth to get info from them. For what I paid I’m not completely happy yet. Their fix for yardage accuracy is to raise the elevation. I’ve raised it to the max and for me it’s still telling me I’m hitting my 8 iron 68 yards as opposed to my normal 150. Driver goes maybe 200 instead of 250-260. However, my son is right handed and his yardages are with in 15 yards of actual and sometimes they’re accurate. Not sure if it has anything to do with me being left handed but it shouldn’t. It does give all the analytics most golfers would be looking for. If you want to golf with your buddies you have to click add player and a QR code comes up that they have to scan with their phone and it makes them create an account just to play a simple round. Then it doesn’t even save them in the software to play again. Every round you play they have to be added through QR code. I figured it would be like any old video game where you click the number of players you want and type each persons name in. The unit does not connect wirelessly to my computer. It uses a network cable. When we switch from left handed to right handed, we have to drag the cord back and forth with the unit. The markings on the balls wear off a pretty quick. Tried to save the balls by using a sharpie to redraw the markings but now my screen has black marks everywhere. It’s not terrible but still not what I was hoping for. Overall, if they would add instruction in the box or online it would be much better. If they can get my yardages more accurate than I will be happy with the purchase.

It doesn’t change color issue when you buy for the Mac

I started with the Optishot 2. What it was great at was getting you clubface square. If you are looking at getting into the sim world, get one. It's a blast to play. I've upgraded twice since the Optishot ( R10 then to Mevo 2 because I wanted to putt) all 3 are great. I still plug my Optishot in from time to time and it's still a blast.

So I guess they’re waterproof too! 😅

I need to take my net down regularly, however if i didn;t this would 100% be my go to net. It covers shanks too! Looks premium and nothing else out there that ticks this box.

I have an HD tv, projector and a screen. Everything but a Garmin R10. Planning on buying one and selling my Voice Caddie. I then should be ready.

For me, this will be the only way to play in Summer months. 90+ degree heat is no fun.

I have two friends, they use opti shot all the time. I believe one is trying to get on the PGA. It’s a great simulator.

I have the Ballflight. That's right there is no subscription. One price for everything. I think it's fairly comperable to the GC3. Comes with 20 championship courses. Play with a friend online or local. Offers tournaments sponsored by Optishot or other users. Has a driving range, chipping range, dynamic range, and putting practice areas. Two high-speed cameras and infrared camera measure or calculate nine data points for ball data, shot shape, club data. Statistics gives averages for all nine data points for each club used. Adjustable setting for altitude help dial in simulator to real course distances. I've had it a year now, and pretty happy with it.

Almost got one on FB market for $25, the optishot v1. His spouse prematurely sold it after we already agreed upon price and meetup time. Probably better I get the optishot 2 though anyway, found it on ebay for decent price. Excellent review video here 🤝

What mat are you hitting on?

That’s a big net. Does the screen absorb all power from the golf ball or do you need to add a cushion behind the screen so you won’t dent a wall

I'm shocked that you can see the projection during daylight hours. I wonder if your screen has anything to do with that. I've got a BenQ on my outdoor simulator and I can only see the screen after dark.
