Hey Botha,I fish this section of the creek in the exact same spots you did in this video, I know every log you passed like the back of my hand,just wanted to let you know I’ve caught saugeye right in that same spot you did and there are also hundreds of gar right there in that hole, would love to see a multi species video in that whole,maybe some catfishing.

There are tens of thousands of Springs in that area of Ohio so that's why the water is so clear. You can dip your head and drink the water straight from the Stream. In quite a few areas. Just find a starting point from a spring percolating through the ground at a high rate of speed. Don't drink Downstream from a town. My aunt had a swimming area where water was coming out of the ground at 40°-50°f. I drank straight from the stream as a kid because it was so delicious and cold. Never once did I feel sick.

Glad i looked up Ohio fishing. I live in The Plains and my family is new to the area. My girls love fishing and I’ve been looking for a place to go that hasn’t been over fished. Thanks for sharing. Hope to see more videos from you at other spots in the area.

Wearing themselves out is all well and good, but it pays to have a net. Sure you can get by without it, but I've caught a fair share of pike in the mid to upper 30s pushing 40 inches, especially in the spring and I hate wearing them out TOO too much. Even when I've got my medium action rod too they inevitably hit the ultralight. And every so often I'll hook a truly massive smallmouth and often in spots where it's just hell landing them without a net. Especially with treble hooks, I've seen some horrible happenings with people getting hooked while it's still attached to the fish and I'm not trying to experience it. Just got back into steelhead and I'm looking at a 10.5 foot ul you can use a spinning or centerpin with. I might pull the trigger even though I'd prefer a light action for the big steelhead we get but it's too perfect for drifting crayfish for smallmouth which I absolutely love doing

That's some nice water over that way. Why are you not even permitted by law to swim or even wade in that reservoir?

Most fish in hargus in the 1-2 lb range sit right in the grass. The bigger ones usually sit in the deeper grass about 4 or 5 ft down. When you launch your boat go straight back there's a lot of fish back there it's where the main feeder creek runs into hargus if you launch and then go to the right towards the dam past the point where you caught the big one there's another creek that flows into it also it's past the point and the island on the left. Try around the island with crankbaits. Your spinner would have worked great but you literally have to hit the bank and drag it back in towards the boat. I fish there all the time I caught a 7lb bass there was my biggest fish there mostly though I catch 1-2 lbers running about 10-14 inches. Good fishing if you learn the lake. There definitely are some big ones there. I think they like to stay deeper though toward the main creek channels. Good catch.

Absolutely LOVE the lake Logan crappie fishing vids. It’s my home town. I visit every now and again and fish the lake a few times. Watched your vids and tried some of those same spots this heat had them deep and not really wanting to bite managed to catch a few dinks still on the hunt for the big slabs. Maybe I’ll run into ya sometime down there.

This must be a nice area for Bass fishing. My local Reservoir is boring, because I think the Bass population is pretty much gone and no one seems to catch em out there anymore. May need to stop out here sometime.....

I noticed you were using a trigger spinning reel with a double crank handle, what brand is it? I presume it is an older reel.

Why would you be using 4 lb good way to lose a good fish, best one Iv caught out of the creek was 3.5lb and if I didn’t have braid on he would of broke my line the second he hit.
