This is my lightweight and preferred Bible reading and study setup, simple, easy and consistent - which works out great for traveling too! I know there’s quite a popular trend in some very involved note and study methods, but I'm personally a bit of a purist, so I keep it streamlined and simple. My Great Grandfather carried a Cambridge Pitt Minion Bible with him every day to work. The story of his studious effort to read and study daily, in such a way that he could be a witness to others inspired me to take my Bible with me whenever I can. Whole the Emerald Text and Windsor are very reasonable to carry. There's something perfect about the Pitt Minion that makes it ideal for taking with...

The Single Best Glock Modification

This is a ridiculously simple modification that helps to mitigate both slide bite, but also muzzle flip. I know many who use this small modification to improve their overall speed to get accurate shots on target. Those of us with massive hands and want to avoid nasty cuts, this is an easy way to still get a super high grip on the pistol, and not get hurt in the process.

Great vids man. Glock is my favorite. Carry a 19 , 26 and 17 or 45. Love them all.
Draw slide back one inch with trigger pulled. Release slide. If it closes fully the RSA is fine.
I got a 19 g4. Ill never get up to 60k cause i cant take that much brass to the face. I hate that gun lol
Great video!
My Glock wants a divorce after watching this video.
Love the slide wear. You have a cool gun. Goes to prove this is one of the greatest pistol designs ever. The fact it’s so simple astonishes me
Glock recommends replacement of Gen 4 & 5 guide rod at 5000 rounds but I see many that have far more than that and still no breakage or failure.
Thnx Guy
How are men and women this dumb around guns lol sounds like he’s in Canada lol maybe he’s trying to put a video together for kids lol this is pathetic if your on this level you shouldn’t Owen a gun.
I seldom comment on youtube videos, but this video is absolutely unique, informative, it speaks logic and common sense and lastly a superb display of safety and incredible marksmanship.
Warching this made me feel shame for the condition of my Gen 4 (the best Gen)
Thank you very much for this video, it was very insightful and helpful!
Love this video thank you for being a voice of reason and responsibility in the consumerism focused gun industry! I'd like to start using the same lubricants for my guns as well is it a 50/50 mix of Lucas gun oil and motorkote, and which motorkote oil do you use? Also, what cleaner do you use/ recommend? Thank you so much and Im certainly sold on having a g19 as my main gun. Hope you had a nice Christmas with you family and hope you have a great new year as well.
@gabrielshouse6142 Hey, a fellow details oriented individual! It's a 3:1 ratio on the Motor Kote product - 3 parts Lucas Gun Oil and 1 part Motor Kote. It's way more than necessary, but my longevity of use speaks to the practice, so there's that. I actually just uploaded another rambling video on the subject of basic maintenance. It's definitely not my best moment, and could have been better, but it's a start... For day to day cleaning, I use Hoppe's 9 or lighter fluid, both of which won't melt the polymer components of a pistol. If there's major copper/brass fouling, then I use Gun Scrubber and keep it AWAY from the polymer. It won't necessarily melt it, but I've seen polymer frames weakened by the use of that stuff. Christmas was phenomenal! Great time at my brother's place with our parents and one of my uncles, then followed it up with a good visit at my Pastor's home with a great friend from San Diego visiting. Tomorrow we'll be with friends who are more like family in the Denver metro area for New Year ring in! Thankful I can take work with me and enjoy these great times of fellowship.
@@PhotoCaptured Im also a fellow Toyota owner lol! I actually just finished watching your other video and once again it was very helpful and I appreciate it! Thank you so much! I am going to order that stuff and start using it on all of my guns as well! It may be more than necessary but your results are making me think it is necessary! Glad to hear about Christmas, sounds like a very nice time! This time of year is so nice to fellowship and catch up with people we dont get to see as much as we'd like. Thats definitely a blessing to be able to take work with you wherever you need to go.
Awesome! I love my Gen4 19. One gun I will never get rid of. Yours has a lot of character for sure.
I love this video and content. Nice work Timothy. Pleaae make more content.
My condolences for your grandfather
Theres a good amount of vids of glocks with 20k, 50k, 100k etc. None for sig
Love these kinds of vids showing what a g19 can do. Did you say that barrel was original? Happy holidays and condolences.
@marktownsend8187 the barrel is orignal, but the frame and slide technically have the full round count because I have used a threaded barrel interchangeably for close to 12k rounds. I have an old and now out of production Wheaton Arms 416R threaded barrel for use with a suppressor. Thank you kindly, grandpa was a great teacher and left me with a lot to consider.
Great background music !!!
Of the multitude of firearms media out on the Internet now a days, this is easily one of if not my favorite. Fantastic video. I appreciate the time you took to do this and post it.
@StevenPham217 generous praise, thank you kindly. Hoping to keep the interest with honest content that's distinctly separate from the plethora of fast paced-short-form substance available. There's something philosophical about the subject for me, and I hope to convey that better with time. Less about the flashy techniques, and more about the process and thought behind it.
@ it definitely showed man, quality content for sure. I’ve thought about it doing something similar, just basically fireside firearm chats and this hit the nail on the head for me. Thanks for making the content I don’t want to make 😂
@StevenPham217 ha I hear ya there, my problem is having time to actually put it all together into something sensible. Then having the time to film it all in decent light, and not blowing wind like a Laramie Summer day 🤣
I’ve carried a G19 since 1997, stay strapped! Love the video!
@Sully-d2m good man! If you liked this one, you'll probably get a kick out of the one I shared last night. Crossed the 60k rounds mark, and did it at 100yrds on camera. ruclips.net/video/Zl0kl3RQAI0/видео.htmlsi=pMPvVZLI9vibUpEo
I hate people that act like the gun can shoot me through camera stupid lol I bet you like your lube . What a great life 92 what an ocomplishment.
Great video!
Also I would like to say, you handled the recoil absolutely incredibly. I have seen many gun enthusiasts not do that well
@thetattooedguy1413 thank you! I'm not sure how much of that comes down to good technique, or the fact that I'm a big dude 😅 I guess the test will he to do the same thing with my G20 10mm 👌
crazy accurate shots, great job on the video! thanks for the insight and thoughts at the end, its easy to get caught up with the latest and greatest!
I thought this was incredible! It was like Will Young shooting a pistol ( excellent singer ) great video. Can't wait for the follow up
This result is frankly unbelievable. The mechanical accuracy of a glock is about 2.5-3 inches at 25 yds. (10-12 MOA) And yet you just produced a 6.5 inch 10 shot group standing unsupported at 100 yds? If this is a legitimate result, you would likely rank among the greatest group shooters ever to live. Not to mention a barrel that is in all likelyhood "shot out" and iron sights with a hold over that would completely obscure the sight picture of a target of that size at that range. I don't know if this is fake, or pure luck/variance combined with a good shooter. Very skeptical to say the least.
@@paperoversteel8166 skepticism is welcome and understandable. In part, I know how my pistol behaves and have the years to back it all up. The mechanical accuracy of my tool is still better than me, and I've had the barrel checked by experts better than I both at Glock and from independent gunsmith. There's definitely wear and tear on it, but the wear that some incur isn't present on mine because of the effort I've taken to minimize corrosive actions. Like I mentioned on video, I use some stupendously specialized metal maintenance lubricants that are well above average. Regarding my own skill, I've had the pleasure of learning from some of the very best. They knew how to teach well, and I tend to be a decent student. Pistols aren't exactly my favorite sport shooting method, and I'm very much a rifle guy, but the techniques that make me an expert rifleman translate very well to the same techniques and form I put behind a pistol. I started from a young age, and have chosen to focus most of my energy behind one pistol rather than dozens of different ones. So the intricacies and minute behaviors of this Glock 19 are like knowing where my toe and finger holds are on the side of a mountain. The way that the slide and barrel shift together as I squeeze the trigger, while maintaining sight picture, and then feeling the break as I bring the sight alignment over the target spot. It's a mesh in my mind, and how I feel it. There will be a follow-up to this one coming soon since a one off is hard for most to believe. Same format, same ridiculous detail to make it as clear as possible - that it's one continuous, and very emphatically unaltered video, demonstrating refined skill in action. Cheers, and hope you come back for the next one.
That's a 12" target. About an 8" group. Glock mechanical accuracy is roughly 4 mos at 25 yards (1"). He shot the equivalent of a 2" group at 25 yards. Extremely good shooting though. At that distance I'm sure his front sight isn't over the target to obscure it
@@dylanholbrook6239 The creator of the video himself mentioned it was a 8 inch diameter target to another commenter. Glock mechanical accuracy is nowhere near 4 MOA. It is much closer to 10-12 MOA. The army handgun trials 25 meter accuracy test averaged in excess of 3.5" at 25 meters for the Glock 19x.
@@paperoversteel8166 the target is a well known target, you can look it up online. It is a 12". He shot about an 8" group on that target. There are several videos, like sage dynamics for a quick example, of 2" groups from a Glock at 25 yards. There is even a test of Glock after market barrel test using a ransom rest that will show you the actual mechanical accuracy. You are simply incorrect. I can't post links but searching for "Glock barrel accuracy" should show you
Did you replace the barrel recently before you hit 60,000 rounds? The wear on that barrel looks like about 500 to a 1000 rounds worth. I lubricate my Glocks quite a bit, but it does not appear that barrel wear can be avoided. If you did not replace it, then I would love to know what you are using to reduce the wear on the barrel in particular. If this is legitimate shooting then kudos to you sir! That is a pretty amazing group at 100 yards. I don’t know how you can see those hits from that far. My eyes are terrible.
How blessed to have your grandfather soo long. Great video.
HELLO Timothy. Thanks for the interesting video. I'm 66 years old and picked up my first pistol in June of 2015. Since then about 5,500 rounds a year have been fired through various models, but all my shooting has been at a local indoor range with a max distance of 25 yards. I regularly test my skill at that distance, but have hit a plateau with no outdoor range of the sort you have there. What is the circumference of your dirty bird target? Whatever it may be that some fine good shooting. At that distance I would not even be able to see the target! Stay safe brother.
@stevestone5671 I'm just thrilled hear you started somewhere good sir! I've had my share of indoor range experience, and let's just say it isn't my favorite. Too noisy, too much pressure, and never enough time. The Dirty Bird Targets I use are 8in diameter with a 1.5in red bullseye. They are just contrasty enough to make out at distances so long as I know where they are. The Shoot-n-See self stick sorts are basically all black, and those suckers are tough to see unless you put them on a good backdrop. My ultimate skill testing is when I hunt. For many years I went the traditional route with a good rifle, but as of the last few years I've been taking mid-size game. Every one of them with a pistol; usually my 10mm Glock 20 because I need to meet the minimum foot pound of energy requirements, along with appropriate barrel length for proper expansion of my 200gr HST loads. This last season back in October, I took a nice Mule Deer at around 20yrds. Perfect head shot and dropped. No wasted ammo, and no unnecessary noise on a fine Saturday morning!
Condolences for the loss of your grandfather, Timothy. Thanks for putting your content into the world!
It is a slide stop slide release. If it was just a slide stop glock wouldn't have made it ambi on the gen 5 models.
Great Choice! I carry the 4.5 acro fullsize at work. It's on the larger size but it's an awesome gun and I love it. Stay safe.
One of the best videos out there for first time gun purchasers.
Great video thank you for it. I recently acquired my CC permit which wasn’t easy in NJ and now carry a Gen 4 model 19 . I hope I get the kind of mileage out of mine that you are out of yours. You were very informative and equally interesting. Keep up the good work 🇺🇸.
Impressive. It's better to spend the money on training and ammo with one gun than it is to have several different guns that you cannot shoot proficiently. Love them or hate them, but there are few if any pistols that have a track record of proven reliability that Glock is known for. Thanks for sharing, it's cool to see. I hope it serves you well for much longer.
I am a large individual being 6’3 300 pounds and I absolutely love my Glock 45 MOS. Glock is simple and reliable and I trust my life on the firearm. It will always shoot no matter what. I do carry a WML and I’m in between appendix and right behind the 3 o’clock position for carry. I go back and forth depending on what I’m doing. I have looking into Tenicor holster but can’t decide if I want to keep the WML or take it off and go with the velo 5
I’m a new gun owner and all I wanted is a reliable gun for home defense, and after researching for months I went with the Glock 19. I don’t need it to look fancy, I just want it to be dependable when and IF I ever need it to protect my family.
What size is that font on Pitt minion?
@lware1 some would say painfully small, but I consider it very comfortable at normal reading distances. It's listed as a 6.75pt and very crisp, so easy on the eyes 👌
Great message. Is that the Pitt minion? Font looks very small. You have good eyesight
@lware1 Praise the Lord! Yes indeed, I get away with it for now. So long as I have good eyesight, I'm going to take advantage of using a great Bible I can easily have with me always!
The Pitt Minion is very nearly the perfect Bible. I just wish my old eyes could see the small font as well as they did many years ago.
A lamy 2000, a nice notebook, and a schuyler Bible. Hard to beat that combo. Hope you had a wonderful time of worship.
Great set up! No need to overcomplicate it. Mine is pretty similar. I have a Schuyler PSQ in ESV and also carry a Leuchtturm. I'll add minimal notes to the PSQ, but there isn't much room in those either. One of the consistent additions is the OT references when quoted in the NT. Easier than looking at the footnotes every time. For that I keep Pigmas on hand. I use the 005 for notes and the 01 for underlining.
I'm afraid that the font in the compact Pitt-Minion would be too small for my old eyes. I love the combination, though. The font in my Thinline NIV is about as small as I can go. The cover is bonded leather, but that has not mattered much over the last couple of decades. I do see that some water infiltrated the book at some point in time, but it still functions as intended. I would love to have a similar sized NASB if I can find one. Although not as readable as the NIV, I do like the transliterative nature of that translation. You cannot go wrong with a Lamy 2000. Mine is too wide for what I need at the moment, so I might send it to Lamy for a nib replacement. I got out my Stainless Lamy Studio and inked it, but need an EF nib for it (steel nib, have one on order). This version of the Studio has a really nice rubber grip section that is very comfortable to hold and the Lamy steel nibs are quite good. I have my Pilot Namiki Falcon (Japanese Soft Fine) inked with de Atramentis Black-Red Document Ink at the moment. That ink is similar in color to the Writer's Blood but is permanent and won't wash off the page. It makes a nice contrast to the other colors I use in my Bullet Journal or personal journal. I love your videos, sir. Thanks! N.B. You should check out Goulet Pens. The operate out of the Atlanta area and are a sweet young couple dedicated to the fountain pen community.
I never seriously considered the MBD as it seemed too small, but you managed to fit a lot in it.
just like my bible, it's worn-out but still good and useable, got it from grandma ❤❤❤
Externally, the fabric is extremely durable, although one of the metal fittings stretched on my Mag Satch, allowing the strap to come off twice. A hammer fixed it on both occasions, but it's not much good if you're on foot in the middle of nowhere. Internally, the fabric tore after 7 years of regular use, as I have discovered.
I’ve been trying to find you suppressor, capable pistols?
Hi Timothy what brand is your drafting pencil? 🙏
@@Rick-fz7tt I use Pentel and Staedtler for durability and availability.
Bible and pistol suppressor in same bag looks like from some horror movie 😅
