KSP: STAR TREK - STRANGE NEW WORLDS - OPENING TITLES/VFX RECREATION
Hi all
this is by far the most ambitious project I've been working on. It all started 5 months ago, when I've figured out how to replace KSP's skybox with a greenscreen. So I started experimenting and eventually decided to recreate the amazingly beautiful intro from Star Trek: Strange New Worlds.

I'm working as a video editor and I'm continuously trying to improve my skills, especially when it comes to video effects / VFX.
Each scene of the SNW intro includes some elements that I've never tried before, so it was basically a very challenging training program for me.
Except the U.S.S. Enterprise, which I've designed and recorded in Kerbal Space Program, e...

KSP: Wrath of Khan VFX preview - Mutara Nebula
Просмотров 26610 месяцев назад
I've been trying some stuff and replaced the KSP skybox with green screen. First result came out quite nicely :) For the nebula and dust clouds I used stills and footage from @ActionVFXofficial , they have many awesome presets! The free god-ray plugin from @ProductionCrate created these beautiful lightrays. Enjoy - MP

Hi all. This is my latest creation - it took me some weeks, many kraken attacks and a loooot of patience to construct and record this thing. The interior of the docking bay is filled with cargo containers of infamous companies from various sci-fi franchises. Again special thanks to @NickBDesigns for providing me with his sound designs for the intro scene. Part count: 3.472 Weight: 3.635 t (most...
KSP - Klingon K'Tinga Class Battle Cruiser - Epic VFX Battle, SFX and AI Voice Overs
Просмотров 1,5 тыс.Год назад
I've been working on this for a few weeks now, it all started initially with designing the K'Tinga (some might now it as the older D7 from TOS) merely as a cameo for another project I'm working on. But then I liked how it came out and thought it would be a pity to not make another video solely for this famous ship. First I want to give a huuuuge thanks to @NickBDesigns, fellow KSP player and so...

what are the glass panels from?
@@Joose_ flags :)
Hmmm... Is that beautiful romulan ship new? I haven't seen it before 🤔
@@rollexpv1701 it's my own design, but it's based on the Valdore from ST Nemesis. I see mine as a kind of predecessor
Criminally underrated channel. Only found out about it due to VAOS.
@@MDE_never_dies Thanks mate, appreciated. Yeah you can imagine how exited I was when I saw Vaos advertising my channel :D
Superior FIRE POWER!
Thinking about making a full-scale VFX battle with it
WTF where, why hasnt this in me feed!! DAMIT RUclips!
Love IT!
Gorgeous!
Thanks! :)
HOW THE F*** DID YOU BUILD THAT!!!!!!!!
The ship? It underwent many iterations. Basically I started with the engineering, added the saucer and last the engine nacelles
@@manicpanda8741 well is it possible you can show us how to make one because it looks super cool
@@t1ablaster695 thank you! You mean how I built the ship? I've tried to, but in the end I had so much footage that my (2tb) drive can't handle it anymore so I gave up. But I maybe could do a "reverse take it apart" video
@@manicpanda8741 that can work
@@manicpanda8741 that can work also how did you do the saucer because I am having trouble making my saucer section
Will there be a space battle?
I'm currently thinking about how it could look like. Built some poor cargo ships and some nasty pirate marauders too
Wow. Just wow...
Morgan Freeman!
:)
This is absolutely amazing, gorgeous, and hands-down, some of the best work I’ve seen! ❤ I don’t know why it got so little views , but I’m guessing it’s because of the genre. For instance, if you made something that was Hell Diver related , which is very popular right now, it would do very well . Not a whole lot of people are searching for Star Trek videos sadly. 😢
Thanks buddy, that means a lot. I know, it's not the most popular thing these days but still it's the stuff I love. And I'm doing it not for the views only, the pure purpose of this project was training my VFX skills. From that perspective, it was a big success, I've learned a huge amount of new stuff
Some stellar work here. Klingons can be such jerks 😢
Thanks! :)
is very incredible 🤩 all is perfect 👌
Thank you! 😊
Mod for the ship parts?
No mods. Plenty of customized flags though.
I wish there was a second like button that shows how much you like the project months after launch
That's sweet man :)
Nice! These craft look sick Did you use a mod for buoyancy?
Nope. Just a painful amount of trials with ore tanks and fairings
@@manicpanda8741 that my friend is amazing. That is definitely a painful process.
There are some scenes where yours actually looks better.
Thanks my friend, I appreciate that
I just now realized that CBS has drawn back from their claims. I've uploaded it already 4 days ago and it was instantly blocked. Lucky me 😅
@@manicpanda8741indeed lucky...

Wow. Thats very good!
Thanks mate!
Amazing!
That is amazing! Love your Videos!
Thank you Miss Lindner :D
That looks amazing!
Great Video!
Wow this is really impressive work! I never heard of KSP before, but after researching what it is, that makes this video even more stunning. The fact that you were able to composite the elements so seamlessly is impressive. The lighting is spot on and I especially love the look of the nebula at 1:10. Haven't gotten much into SNW yet, but this definitely feels like what I've seen from the show so far. Great job!
Thank you so much, that coming from you means a great deal to me. Just hypothetically speaking, it could be fun collaborating with you in the future. Though right now I need a break since this project has been a little exhausting :D
@@manicpanda8741 Hahaha take all the time you need! I totally understand the exhaustion. Collaboration could be fun too! I'm currently on a little break myself, got a bunch of big life stuff coming up the next several months lol.
@@nmphoto37 then all the best for that, we'll stay in touch
Yoo this looks sick man! Can you make a short tutorial on how you made the skybox into a green screen? I'd really appreciate❤
Hey man, thanks a lot. I was already thinking about that. I'll give it some thought, I have to remember how I actually did it, it was a bit tricky and it's already been half a year
Even though I have not (yet) seen Star Trek, seeing all of this come to fruition has been something genuinely incredible to behold.
Thanks a lot mate!
This is, hands down, the most amazing thing I've seen in KSP in the game's existence. Your VFX work is just astonishing.
Thank you! 😊
I have no words to describe this visual masterpiece.
That's very kind, thanks mate. Looking forward to your E. No pressure though :D
@@manicpanda8741I have no idea about how you did the tracking of the ship, or just how long it took modeling and rendering all of those shots... but this is glorious. E: 05.07.04
@@rollexpv1701 Tracking wasn't that much of an issue tbh, After Effects does that actually pretty well. Building up all the 3D stuff was completely new to me and there has been more than one occasion where I almost gave up.
God damn, that's really amazing. It's really evident just how much effort and love went into this, and the result is awesome. There's times I have to remind myself I'm watching a KSP and CGI recreation and not the real intro, just epic. Well done!
Thanks bud, and as said, I'm grateful for all the reviews and feedback
Fascinating \\//
You have my appreciation for being my test audience :D
Nice
Thanks!
Np
Absolutely insane work, well done!
Glad you like it!
I can already sense the cease and desist coming lol Amazing work
Thanks. Yeah, let's hope the disclaimer will be enough

I take that as a compliment :D
