thanks for the point about having a comfortable space even if you're not going to stay in it for long. I've never had a cosy bedroom space which I felt like I had decorated for myself. As a child, my room was functional, and then I've spent over a decade moving at least once a year, if not more. This is the first time since I started moving that I've been in a place for more than one year, but I'm still treating it as functional and temporary, because initially I didn't know if I was going to stay, and by now I'm living in the knowledge that I'm going to have to find another place to live in six months time, so it still doesn't feel worth trying. But if I keep living like this, I will spend half my life in functional but uncomfortable temporary accommodation. At least if I decorated maybe it wouldn't feel quite so temporary

I came in expecting to crochet before I slowly realised this was very different from what I had learned. I ended up making a cute headband/necklace. I really need to get thicker yarn! Once I do, I would love to give this a try again!
