Winter Tires vs All-Season Tires
Winter tires, or sometimes known as snow tires, are an essential item in our Canadian climate. Here are the top 3 reasons why you need a set of winter tires for your vehicle.
1. Winter tires should be known as cold weather tires. As the weather drops below 7 degrees celsius, all-season and summer tires turn hard and brittle, and lose grip. Winter tires utilize special rubber compounds that stay soft and malleable even as temperatures drop below freezing.

I had a 2008 Impreza hatchback and we got about 10 inches of snow. The clearance was low as it is, but was able to get to work without absolutely no problems. They didn't even plow my road and to see how well it went in the snow. I stopped and started up without spinning. When I got to work the snow was so deep it was coming up over the hood. I made it with no problems. 4 weeks ago we bought a 2020 Outback and Love it.

I’m going to try this in my parent’s driveway. It has a bit of a grade and when I back out, the engine revs and then I shoot backwards. Maybe I gotta x mode it every time!
Very informative! I don't use things often and forget what they are for lol. My left car door does not illuminate at night and can't see button to unlock passenger side. Is there a way to see the unlock buttons?

I ordered on Black Friday. I was unhappy with limited colors. I purchased from a long time family dealer mainly Chevrolet. Sales was not pressuring at all. I have never owned a all wheel drive especially with this X

What model cross trex? I have manual transmission.
Been using the “workaround” for the auto start/stop feature, had no idea there was a dedicated button for it lol. Just purchased 2020 Sport yesterday so I’ll grant myself some leeway. Anywho, did some researching yesterday, saw one video showing the workaround and just assumed that was the only option. Appreciate the info, very straight-forward and super helpful!

Bought a forester with this.. not gonna lie it seems kinda gimmicky. I came here because I wanted to know what it did. It has a low gear for that and you can just ya know drive.... slowly.
It's not a gimmick it will actually brake each wheel individually to prevent excessive slip. You can't do that with the brake pedal.

A gimmick, like most drive modes
Not really. I got stuck in my '24 Outback in deep sand. The left front and right rear were hanging in the air. I tried digging it out, putting tree branches under the wheels. I've recovered myself many times before, but could not get it out til I used XMode. When I engaged it, the wheels started spinning again, but when I was assertive with the gas pedal, it easily pulled itself out of the hole I'd dug.
Absolutely FABulous! I''ve owned mine since Christmas 2020, but learned so much more since listening to you, Dane!
All new Crosstreks should come with their own Zeus!
