Elevate Your Welds with Pre & Post Gas Flow!
Просмотров 673 месяца назад
we'll cover the importance of pre and post gas flow in TIG welding. Pre-flow of at least 0.2 seconds shields the tungsten and weld area, ensuring a smooth arc start. Post-flow protects the weld pool and electrode from contamination as they cool, with a recommended minimum of eight seconds. When buying a welding machine, ensure it has adjustable gas flow before and after welding. This feature pr...

    I just started flux core welding (testing at about 100 A). I can't see my work piece at all to see where I'm going at shade 10. I'm thinking 9-9.5 might help but was concerned about damaging my eyes. I've heard flux core is one of the brightest. Do you think it would be risky at 9-9.5? Thanks. I'm also trying different light setups to see if that might help.

      Hi According to the Occupational Safety and Health Administration, you are not allowed to use a shade less than 10 for about 100A of flux-cored welding for your safety reasons. Please check the following link. www.osha.gov/laws-regs/regulations/standardnumber/1915/1915.153 Stay safe, Regards

    I don't always burn 6010 1\8th but i frequently do. Does this machine have the capability? Im required to do a pipe cert twice a year also to maintain my cert with my local municipality for upgrades and emergencies to their natural gas utilities. My service truck doesn't have room for anything larger than a welder like this. If it has these capabilities , i would like to give this a try. Many times i have to have someone bring a trailered machine so i can pull equipment with my truck. I attend natural gas expos in my area and currently no welding machines are displayed. You can research the expos and see the enormous amount of members and attendees.

    I have a Lincoln AC225 that i like to use 5/32 rod with at a 100% duty cycle running 260 volt, can buy a used 8kw generator to plug the welder into but how does that compare?

    • @CanaweldInc
      @CanaweldInc 5 месяцев назад

      AC225 weight is 96lb and a 8kW generator's weigh is around 200lb in total around 300lb The Canaweld's Engine-Driven Welder Magic Weld 200A weight is 135lb Furthermore, because of chopper technology the quality of welding is way better. canaweld.com/product/magic-weld-200a/

    Hi Adina, great video and seems Canaweld is putting out more videos which is great. I'm an owner of a few of your products and so far no issues. Just a thought about reviews and finding good spokes people, www.youtube.com/@TimWelds is a great channel, he's a humble, well read individual with an engineer background. I think you should consider reaching out to him to review a product such as your ACDC 201 pulse D. Dusty from Pacific Arc Weld does a great job as well for now. Cheers!

    Canaweld... great video. Question for you, you mentioned the fan running continuously if you press the stick function. How would you cancel continuous fan if I were to just go through the menu like you are just to familiarize myself to the machine. I just got my unit and wondered if there's a way to reset my machine or is unplugging it the only option? Thanks

    • @CanaweldInc
      @CanaweldInc 6 месяцев назад

      Hi If you turn on the machine in TIG mode, then after a couple of seconds the fan will turn Off. If you start to TIG weld, the fan will turn off 8 minutes after the termination of the weld job. In Stick mode, the fan is working continuously because the inverter is on the whole time. If you change the weld process from stick mode to TIG mode, after 8 minutes the fan will turn off Best Regards

    please tell me what is best setting sensitivity and delay i weld but my eyes cry next day please tell me i have shermanv6b mask i dont know how to set up

    • @CanaweldInc
      @CanaweldInc 8 месяцев назад

      Thank you for your message. The optimal settings for sensitivity, delay, and shade in an automatic welding mask according to OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) guidelines can vary based on the type of welding being performed and personal comfort levels. However, some general guidelines are: 1. Sensitivity: This controls how sensitive the helmet is to welding arc light. It should be set to a level where the helmet darkens reliably when the welding arc is struck. The correct setting depends on the welding environment's ambient light and the welder's preference. The higher the level of sensitivity, the better for protection. 2. Delay: This controls how long the lens stays dark after the welding arc stops. Shorter delays are typically used for tack welding or at low amperage. In comparison, longer delays can be better for high-amperage welding, as they protect the eyes from prolonged exposure to the intense afterglow of the welding arc. The higher the delay setting, the better for protection. 3. Shade: The appropriate shade level depends on the welding process and amperage. For example, a typical setting for MIG or TIG welding might be a shade level of 11-14, but it can vary. The higher the shade, the better for protection. OSHA provides a chart in its standards (like ANSI Z49.1) that recommends specific shade numbers for different types of welding and amperage levels. Always refer to the helmet manufacturer’s instructions and OSHA guidelines for specific recommendations. Adjusting these settings for comfort and clarity while ensuring maximum protection is important. For the most current and specific OSHA regulations, you can consult their official website or relevant safety documents.
