Thanks for this video. We recently got the fault "Accy PwrOver" that I can't get to clear. Happened right after I connected / reconnected the battery during an oil change. Generator would run just fine for a couple of months, but now won't get past one crank before essentially rebooting the controller. The system has the "cheap" breaker you show in the video, do you think this might correct the issue? Thanks again.

We installed this in 2024 and it works very well.

Could this board cause the generator to run all the time when the generator is set to auto. The keypad connected to this board dosent light up anymore. Im guessing something isn't sencing pole power. I do have power at nl1 and nl2 wires that go from the main lug to that board. Any help would be very appreciated

Larger capacitor does not mean anything. It is the value of the capacitor.

Hi, I am using a 20 Kw Kohler and it has more than 50 hours operation very well, we are using on 43 Kg cylinders I want to know what type of propane gas regulator I should use to optimize the use of gas from the cylinders, the fact is that when the cylinder has half of the propane left I must replace it because the generator has failed or is turns off due to lack of gas

What size allen wrench for that little set screw? I have a pretty good assortment & every one is too big or too small.

It is real dumb sticking your bare hand in a live panel with exposed busbars. Thats exactly how you get deaded. Also working by yourself strongly reduces your chance of being given CPR when you electrocute yourself. Unless of course the dog is well trained.

My 20kw gen has had a intermittent surge issue since I installed it a year ago. Not so bad at all under load but when exercising during warm up and cool down it can get pretty bad. we're about 200 miles from nearest certified technician so I'm trying to sort it out myself so videos like yours are invaluable, Thank you.

What I did with mine, I wrapped a Saran Wrap around the air filter and lifted more or less the thickness of a finger for air! to make sure it was the governor. Great video.

Good luck with Kohler these days. I have called and emailed and they won't help me. They say they will but then never do anything. My batteries keep exploding. I guess I need to threaten a lawsuit to get their attention.

Glad I found your video. I just ran all the underground power for my father inlaws of grid farm 3 small buildings. He bought a 14k Kohler going to be ran on lp, and I'm trying to figure out how the control wiring works. We want to be able to start it from inside the barn that it's closest to. Are they really as simple as just being able to use a light switch to start it and stop it?? Any help is much appreciated. Thank you for your content.

My 20RESA is severely hunting during exercise only. If Just push RUN it starts fine and runs fine. When it goes to load during power out, starts fine runs fine. Help please. 11WC dead on

I had my 20 kw Kohler in stalled yesterday and today . change out gas meter , larger gas lines , haf to relocate my Ac unit . transfer swi tch installed , inspection and trial run . all went perfectly . Have to install On Cue at a later date .

I’ve seen this a lot working on these.

I just inherited a 20kw RESL Kohler standby that ran great at its previous home. I unhooked it from that home and brought it to my house. I didn’t know to keep the maintainer plugged in to keep the battery charged till I could get it installed. The DC controller lost its internal memory and now that I have a charged battery it won’t start or even try to crank. It shows a “NO EC” code. I was told by a service tech that the controller is out dated and I have to have a new controller installed $1800. Can site tech be connected to my controller and programmed to make it run again?

I just ran my Kohler 30RCL for 10 days straight down in Florida after Ian. I shut it down for an hour to change the oil. The liquid cool run at a quiet 1800 RPM. Kohler makes very good generators.

I wish there was someone near where I live that would take as much consideration and care and detail in their installation process as you seem to. I want a kohler too but not sure who I can trust to do this work correctly and with hurricanes and our area in general in mind.

Freakin awesome. This has solved my exact issue. Bought a lightning stuck 20resa for 1K and a new RXT ATS. Added a new controller with the overly expensive harness upgrade with their plug in breaker. Wouldn't stay running and gave L1-L2 on shut down. Problem solved with a $6 breaker swap.

Any idea on rotor lockdown? Its Not battery. It's for 2013 20resa also u say ur dealer would need to order what I need if I can figure it out lol it just a click Doesnt try to start and screen says crank 1 then throws rotor lockdown code. I'm on a mountain few hours from a dealer or anyone who services. one.

What causes rotor lockdown I put new battery just in case. Cant find but 1 20amp fuse on controller. Its 2013 20resa. Any ideas or how to fix?
