Normally, as long as you have local administrative rights on the PC, you should be able to uninstall the program in the traditional way (Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs, or Settings > Apps > Installed Apps in Win 11). Check Point did release a patch for older versions of the VPN client which was supposed to help if there are uninstall issues. I've not tried it, but have heard good things. My first recommendation would be to open a ticket with Check Point support. But if you are unable to do that, you might consider giving the patcher a try, using caution as appropriate: support.checkpoint.com/results/download/111859

I don't believe there is a way to facilitate a direct connection between a laptop and a server using Endpoint Security. If the server is inside the network protected by your Check Point appliance, then the laptop could connect to that network using EndPoint Security, and once the VPN connection is established, you would then be able to connect to the server using whatever means are available, for example, accessing shared folders on the server, connecting to the server via Remote Desktop, etc. In short, Endpoint Security is designed to faciliate secure connection to a network, through a Check Point appliance, by a computer that is outside that network. So what Endpoint Security focuses on is that connection to the network protected by the Check Point, but it does not itself handle connection to a specific machine/server within the network. Hopefully that makes sense.

So glad to hear that, Rhonda. Yeah, if you've had your mailbox a long time it's probably pretty large, and that "Update all folders" task can take quite a bit of time to sync everything. Hope it all works out for you!

Does it have a "Microsoft Exchange" option? If so, that should do the trick when 365 isn't an option.

Hi Giovanni, I don't use certificates with Check Point very often so I'm not much of an expert on that. There's a process where you generate a CSR within the gateway and then later import the certificate & "attach" it to the VPN module. It can be a bit fiddly to get that done. Then, actually using the cert as the credential, I've never done that scenario so I'm not sure what is involved there, but I'm guessing there's a slightly different client setup process for that vs. username/password. I would recommend reaching out to Check Point technical support for assistance with that. They've been very helpful to me in the past when I was having trouble implementing a certificate. You'll need to set up remote access on the Mac as described in this article: www.macupdate.com/how-to/remote-access-control-mac which assumes you're accessing the Mac from another Mac. For a more universal solution, you might consider something like Splashtop, which of course doesn't need or use the Check Point VPN but opens up a lot more flexibility in terms of your "connecting from" device.

Hi Alexander, it sounds like the VPN tunnel may be timing out. There is a known issue with this for firmware versions R80.40, R81, R81.10, and there is a hotfix which can be applied to take care of it. I recommend you reach out to Check Point Support to have them troubleshoot and verify the issue, and they can supply the hotfix if that is what is needed. The above instructions are probably best used when it is a company-owned phone/device. If you're setting access to your work email on your personal phone, it's probably best to instead download the Microsoft Outlook app for your phone and then add the email in that app. That should bypass the need for the group policies over the whole device.

Well outlook saved the new password and synced, then stopped recognizing the new password, and now it is recognizing the new password and syncing emails. Hmmm . . . Will the Circle be Unbroken? Hopefully this new password sticks - maybe it takes time for comcast and outlook to clear/register settings

Facing the same issue. Had already reset the password from Comcast and tried entering same password in Outlook and it's not connecting to the IMAP server. However the Web mail of Comcast is working.

@@anupamsahakolkata Mine started working after a few days of reentering the password. For the next few days, ignore the message, use the web and then maybe your Outlook on PC and iPhone will start working too.

Does not work for me either. Tried multiple other fixes and it won't work, then the next day it does, then goes back to not working a couple days later.

Just discovered this week that Norton VPN will interfere with Comcast email working properly in Outlook, presenting with exactly the same symptoms we cover in this video. So if you have Norton 360, Norton VPN, or any other kind of VPN on your computer, you might try disabling it to see if email delivery starts working.

ditto did not fix it for me either. However, I do use Norton. Don't want to disable because I pay for this. Not sure what to do. Very frustrating!

@@caseymae8194 If you have a current subscription with Norton, you might try reaching out to them and see if they have a way of tweaking their VPN settings (without fully disabling it) so it won't interfere with the email.
