Everything Wrong with Yugioh Episodes 14 & 15 Winning Through Intimidation
We back! This time we've got a revenge duel against Panik. Mediocre episode - a few minor tweaks really could've boosted this one.
But yeah another two parter this is both episode 14 The Light at the End of the Tunnel and episode 15 Winning Through Intimidation
Lets dive in.

Yo! Thanks to everyone who participated in the poll. I present Everything wrong with YuGiOh GX Episode 1. I'll still be continuing the OG series, but really wanted to jump in here, and get the party started. I love this show, but I've still got my nitpiks
Everything Wrong with YuGiOh Episode 13 Evil Spirit of the Ring

Oof what a crazy long day it is for Yugi and friends. First Weevil, then Mai, then we got Mako, followed by Mokuba, the Rex, and Mai. Finally when we think we can get some rest, evil Bakura makes his move. This is actually a pretty epic duel. I really and as you'll hear me note 100 times. The card effects here are surprisingly accurate.

Coming back with another two parter. This covers both "The Dueling Monkey" as well as "Trial by Red-Eyes". Did them both in the same episode so I didnt have to split up the duel. Honestly it was a bit of letdown duel. Joey draws the answer in his opening hand and most of the duel is Joey being reminded that his friends are there for him. It really should've been a much more epic episode. But he...
I MADE A DECK OUT OF ONLY LEVEL 1 MONSTERS

Wanted to take a stab at making one of these deck list videos! I've been a consumer for years, and now Im a contributor! This is a really fun deck. I love Mystic Piper, and wanted to create a deck that would essentially let me abuse its ability. I give you an all monster deck, made entirely out of level 1 monsters. (With options of spells). Its surprisingly quite powerful, and hyper consistent....

Everything Wrong with YuGiOh Episode: 1 Heart of the Cards
Niiiiice, another prodigy... don't be disgusting.
and thats why I dont watch anime in english dub 🤣
Given the fact that Panik had 2 dueling gloves with extra starchip slots, my theory is he just duels everyone for all or nothing and didn’t really give her much of a choice on how much to wager.
Going to Mai, who has lost her duel with Panik, would give her insight that is not known. While she did lose, she will still have the experience of dueling Panik. Experience comes from both success and failure.
So for the flame thrower panic, the whole gimic is trying to win by making his opponent afraid and not thinking hes not trying to kill his opponent untill the end when yugi won
Also Mai cheats.
Fun fact, I met Greg Abby who took over Tristen in the dub at this episode. when I asked why his original actor Sam Reigel got let go. He said “I have no idea”
RIP
Yeah I think the translator from 4 kids was on drugs
Funny that he wins with no dark magician.
1:54 no one was awake to refill the flames. He needed them for the duel
I summon pot of greed!!!
2/10 not enough explosions and the plot is to coherent
As for the deck thing. Even if it doesn’t have cards that weevil can use in his deck, he could still trade or sell the cards he doesn’t want if he had won the duel.
He missed an important detail for someone who ran white magical hat. Its a hand destruction card. Combined with morphing jar, bakura is likely running og deck destruction metanor some anime version of it. And him trapping yugis friends souls was not a coincidence then.
I would’ve called it out if Bakura activated his effect (surprisingly he didn’t)
I love yugioh, but the way you roast this show is hilarious 😂
Nothing is wrong
I swear Tea constantly asking Mai questions is basically the same as the guys in yugioh gx saying "right chazz"
Same energy
10:31 "I am Panik The Eliminator!" I laughed way too hard at that. If only they did a Duel Monsters Kai version re-do/re-boot.
Tai would’ve been hotter
2:18 Sort of. There was a Yugioh forum I used to frequent. We would often have small tournaments, including a Goat Format one modeled after Duelist Kingdom. It wasn't exactly like this, though. Basically, due to our small numbers, we made it so you could never go below one star chip, but there were rules in place to keep you from just farming one person. The first four to reach ten star chips would compete in semi-finals and finals. 3:34 This is actually answered in the Japanese version. The duel arena appears by saying the phrase "Duel Standby!", whereas English Weevil just summons it with his psychic powers. 11:11 If I recall correctly, Summoned Skull is a very rare card in-universe. I think it's stated in the manga and/or Season 0, but it's been years since I've read/watched them. Regardless, if my recollection is correct, then it would be possible for Mai to not be familiar with Summoned Skull.
Yo! That’s legit about the tournament part! Was that at your locals? Did you ever win the tournament and become the “king of games “?
@@NitPik-p3r It was entirely online. We would ask in the chat room if anyone was interested in a match for the tournament. If someone agreed, we would use Dueling Network (and later Dueling Book) for the matches. This was a tournament that was hosted multiple times. I entered three of them, won two of them, and came second in one. Granted, none of us are professional-level players, let alone Goat Format experts. The first tournament was literally my first time playing Goat. I enjoyed it, though.
I disliked as soon as he said caller Id
I think it was the writer's intentions that Jaden had to be the one kid without a fair shot so the writer can show how much of an odd ball savant he is. Yeah he's tardy and it looked like he doesn't give s shit, but when he really tries it he defeats the one person everyone on scene thought was unparalleled
...do noone gonna talk about how he used pokemon logic in yugioh NOONE?
It's worth mentioning ancient gear has a built in Timegazer+stargaze effect where cards can't be activated after it declares an attack. That's pretty nuts considering cards like mirror force and negate attack where a bit more utilitous in this age of yugioh.
Regarding Man-Eater Bug/Horn of Heaven, I feel like that chain would be counter-productive. Yes, it is better to lose the weaker monster in this scenario but in terms of the episode I don't get the dilemma; Man-eater Bug destroys a monster when flipped, and Horn of Heaven requires a tribute to be activated. Either way one of Yugi's cards is going to the graveyard. I just don't get why Yami is afraid to use it at first. And how does Yugi or Yami NOT know the Magician of Faith's flip ability until after it activates?
By the way, not sure how many are aware of this but apparently Mai is in her 20s and Joey is probably not even old enough to drive a car in this season. Now I dunno what the laws are like in Japan but this kinda makes their “romance” kinda weird
Yeah. I didn’t know their exact ages. I knew enough to know it was weird. But I didn’t say anything cause I dont know how things work in Japan.
@@NitPik-p3r yeah, and maybe it’s all for the best for everyone Joey and Mai didn’t wind up together in the anime
If non-Kanto Fighting Pokemon were here, would they be allowed in the tournament with their weapons, like Lucario's bone, Galarian Farfetch'ds leek, or Timburr's log?
I love your Yu gi oh videos. I’m 26 and watched all of yu gi oh but zexal and arc v and you making these videos bring me back to the good ole days where I can play Dark Magician with no tribute and make my own effect with Time Wizard 😂❤
None of these are actually mistakes.
These videos are great bro. Keep them up!
I bet the written test is for people who DON'T read their cards
12:32 which is weird since this any romans in this franchise is basically one sided.
Panic as like 40 star chips Joey Mia and yugi could of split them and headed to the castle
Don't forget Thousand Dragon is a Fusion Monster, which normally requires Polymerization. Joey didn't have that card until Battle City.
The prize is actually 3 million yen.
this episode is an adaptation of The Monster World arc from the manga
I absolutely despise the pokemon BS that this season does against Joey. Notice that no other duels have this "type advantage" BS mentioned. It's only to artificially shit on Joey.
I'd like to add to the sins that Pegasus never fully explains anything besides that it takes 10 starchips to get into the finals. He never said if there was a time limit or if just the firsr X that got 10 chips would classify. And then there's the chip counting. Later, Pegasus' computer tells him Yugi was at 5 stars, which I guess is an information that could be obtained by watching Yugi's footage, but why not have an official system where players declare the amount of chips being bet? This would stop people from stealing chips from others, which does happen a lot in this tournament.
8:15 What the hell is Sagi doing in Wheevil''s field?
3:20 Wheevil was the only one who knew about the field bonus rules. It's in his character to take advantage of that while Yugi still doesn't know.
I must say, just desserts real world effect is too broken for the early anime. 500 burn damage per opponent monster is too much when the lp start at 2000. 300 would have fit better, especially in this duel, as Atem would first take 900 damage and then face the decision of risking Tea's card in his hand or summon her and maybe take 1200 damage from a second just desserts.
Yeah I agree. It’s insane burn damage for this era
8:01 Yugi is 16 not 12
I believe that obvious comments are here just in case someone's watching this episode as his first.
I agree
Sure. But I’ve seen more complicated kids show do way less recapping. We need balance
7:21 it also prevents sells/traps from activating during battle
"Are the big 5 sending out stakeholder emails about this business acquisition" imagine that u hold some apple stocks and u get an email from apple writing "we have tim cook trapped and he must duel someone from android in a card game or loose his company"
Lmao 🤣
5:07 because what could they have done about it? 6:13 11:24 how could they have helped
As you say yourself later, Jaden is a teenager. You both know and don't want to know what he's thinking about Burstinatrix.
Because the professor is a few rocks short of a pile
everything wrong with gx: it was invented
Isnt the written exam to evaluate what house youre assigned to?
Maybe? But the field test really is the determining factor.
