Lipedema: Keto Is Part Of The Cure
Today’s podcast is an important one for many people and specifically for the lady who sent Dr. Karl an email all about Lipedema, which he unfortunately lost and was never able to find again.
This podcast is about how Dr. Karl would approach things if talking to someone who needed help with Lipedema. His method is comprehensive and thorough, and it is way more helpful than just using Keto.
Nobody truly knows what causes Lipedema, so you have to take a broad look at the things that affect one’s immune system and the dysregulated ability to produce fat cells.
We are sure that you will find all this information very helpful if you are suffering from Lipedema.

Blood Sugar And Cancer Risk

By now, most people know that cancer is a metabolic disease that thrives on glucose. What people don’t know is that having elevated fasting glucose levels is directly associated with a risk of cancer. I’m wondering why I’m losing fat/weight faster since upping my fat intake? For 6 months I ate very low carb, low fat, high protein. Lost about 1 lb per week. Couldn’t sleep, wired feeling. Just couldn’t go on like that. About 1 month ago I lowered protein slightly (100g) and started eating butter in my coffee and fatty meat. Lost 10 lbs in 1 month and feel sooo much better! The rosacea I’ve had for about 25 yrs is fading. I’m 62 and t1 diabetic. Huh!? Seems opposite of what you’re saying…

      @KetoNaturopathPodcast 2 месяца назад

      The fact that you are T1 make all the difference. How one begins and maintains also makes all the difference. Most people when they start actually do have to do high fat to transition to a 'fat burning' matabolism. Other do find it difficult to 'drop the carbs' because they lack adrenal reserves so for them their transition is over a longer more gradual period of time. We are not all the same. You may want to join a fb group called Type 1 grit, it is specifically for T1 diabetics and low carbs.

    I akways viewes it as a metabolic issue, but other factors such as higher homocysteine, auch as from MTHFR and I'm aure many other factors plays a role. Here would be my list of primary causes for the population. 1. Seed / vegetable oils 2. High Branched chain amino acids 3. Fructose 4. Low glycine amino acid 5. Alcohol All of these worsen metabolic health, and will increase risk of fatty liver or make it worse.

    High fat (not over eating fat) low carbs (less than 30 Carbs of real food - not ultra processed - cheap or bad oils) - walking for 30 minutes a few day a week, is the best strategy for weight loss. We are not talking about people over 40lbs overweight. Saying that someone said drinking coffee is Keto - is stupid. Coffee has nothing to do with Keto! Keto is a low carbs Life Style. It has everything to do with Low Carbs, Non Ultra Processed Food, Good oils like MTC oil, Extra Virgin Olive Oil and Pure Avocado Oil. Yes, to lose weight, calories need to be reduced - the energy balance model has it's merits. I found restricted eating window and intermittent longer fasts useful to that goal. higher fat might be a good kick-starter, initially. MCT oil might be useful during the transition. It does take some time to get the mitochondria ramped up. More importantly, avoid industrial seed oils like the plague. Keep an eye out on the ingredient list of your 'health' supplements in a soft-gel package. I have found industrial seed oils in vitamin D, ginkgo biloba, Coenzyme Q10, and others. Fish oil, cod liver oil, or other Omega 3 supplements can go rancid as well. If it is in a soft-gel, how would you know? Rancidity includes the increase in trans-fats in any oil. It undergoes oxidation and hydrolysis reactions developing cell-damaging free radicals. And you will find seed oils in the 'keto-friendly' processed foods.

    My experience with allopathic doctors has been them pushing their authority about "my cancer" when they were really, truly ignorant of my condition. I was told by 5 different doctors (my GP and 4 surgeons that i was referred to) that I had ovarian cancer. I'd had problems with cysts for a number of years and had to have emergency surgery once when a cyst burst and hemorrhaged into my abdominal cavity. The next issue was several years later when my left ovary quickly grew a huge cyst that was about as big as a watermelon. I looked 8 to 9 months pregnant. Despite being told so often that it was cancer, I tried a number of different treatments. One was long-term water-fasting. Throughtout the year-and-a-half that I was exploring other modalities, I fasted 4 times, 15 to 21 days each. In the end I found a surgeon in Calgary who agreed to do the surgery the way I wanted and promised not to te talking as though I had cancer. When the growth was finally removed, she drew out the 4 liters of fluid in the mass and then removed the fibrous tissue, which was a bit more than 2 kgs. The immediate tests said "abnormal cells" and tissue was sent to the cancer laboratory. 5 days later I was told again that it was abnormal cells. That didn't surprise me. A huge growth like that was certainly abnormal. That was February 2007. I've never gone back for a follow-up and never again had issues. Instead of allowing a surgeon to remove bith my ovaries, my uterus, and open me up vertically from my pubic bone to my sternum, my scar is about 3 inches long and runs horizontal just above my pubic bone. I still have my right ovary and my uterus, and I went through menopause without any adverse effects 2012 at the age of 49. It's only within the last decade that I learned through online research, and then RUclips channels similar to yours, that I'd had PCOS. No doctor ever breathed that word to me, nor said that I had insulin resistance. I was never overweight and maybe that's why they'd never even tested. Needless to say, my trust of allopathic medicine is very low and I'll continue to learn more and find greater efficacy through online practicianers. I'm now on a carnivore diet to try to eliminate the rheumatoid arthritis that's causing me so much pain and degeneration. My last water-fast was back in July for 17 days. I think I'm overdue for another. I'm glad I recently found your channel and I've binge-watched all the videos about dairy. That's my current elimination. Thank-you for the information that's convinced me that I need to completely drop the yogurt, kefir, and heavy cream in coffee. It's only been 3 days, but I'm optimistic that this will help. 😊

    We've been mostly carnivore eight months after a year of keto. We still eat a few plants, olives, avocado, pickles and the occasional root vegetable but mostly we eat meat and eggs. And we eat loads of scrapple which is a Pennsylvania Dutch product made of pig organ meats. Then we supplement with liquid magnesium, methylated B-vitamins, plus bovine colostrum. I drink Dr. Sten Ekberg electrolyte mix and plenty of water. I've always been an "adventuresome" eater. In all the world there are only a handful of foods I don't like and the worst one is liver. It's the only food I can honestly say I hate. Still, we got a butchers box that came with some beef liver and my wife likes liver and so I I did everything I could....soaked it in milk, cooked with bacon fat and onions....and I still hate it. However eating even a tiny bite gave me a "liver high". Now I've ground it in with other meats and make a meat patty where you can't taste it. But it just blows my mind that such a tiny amount of liver can have such an effect and I don't understand what is in liver that I'm not getting in all the other meats and organ meats. In the mixed meat there's ground lamb, pork, beef, sausage and beef liver. There's 1/10 beef liver and just eating a bite or two of that diluted liver still gives me that buzz like energy.

    This is interesting, but there are hunters and gatherers with most or many caloric intakes from carbs: ruclips.net/video/PvZk-jNqzgE/видео.html Ketogenic is the human active-mode, and glucogenic with high insulin is to hibernate. When animal food sources are scarce or when we need to 'hibernate', then we can switch to the high-carb airplane mode metabolism. So this all depends on what one wants to do, hibernate/procrastinate or be active. The problem is that most people are in hibernating/cave mode but try to be active, so the metabolism and activities do not match, thus health issues/problems. That is what I am seeing. People in hibernating glucogenic mode with depression should not be social because they just cause problems and the brain function is so bad that cannot solve the problems... To solve all problems, I think people need to be in proper active mode (in ketosis), and that will make all things healthy. We all have sweet tooths, so very occasional sweet treats, e.g. honey, honeycomb with larvae and pupae will help us secrete a lot of insulin, and that will rejuvenate and protect our brain/nervous system because of not having insulin resistance. The hormone insulin also functions as the never-protective hormone. So unrefined carbs are not bad, fiber is good, healthy fats and proteins are great, and insulin is okay, but insulin resistance is no good 🥰 ps. our stomach acid pH is more acidic than that of pet cats... i.e. perhaps we are omnivore, but more carnivorous when in active mode.

      PD is generally about dopamine deficiency, rather a declining ability to produce it.
