It’s absolutely insane how I have over 100 hours in fallout 4 and didn’t even know about some of these companions

It's been a year (almost), and everyone's already ranted about the Bleed/Poison stuff (which they're right), but if I had to put my point in... Ash Maker should be a tier higher for 1 reason. Somehow, fire damage on weapons is Instantaneous (except the flamer) instead of overtime. You effectively added +15 instant fire damage onto a minigun, which at most does 8 (I think), which basically tripled it's damage output. Ofc explosive is best, but that's pure luck to aquire. And even then you don't NEED to be a heavy build to use it best (tho I have little fun with that build).

I am so glad he put the Harvester near the top - once i found that Ripper, it became my best friend in game. Yes - my Automatron with dual Explosive Miniguns for arms was handy, and sure my fully upgraded Robot armour was sick - but just the Harvester alone made the game so easy. Yet it didnt really feel like cheating- People may consider it so, and they may be entitled to their own opinions, but for me I found the Harvester to have an air of danger. If you try to fight something big like a Deathclaw, Behemoth, or Queen - there is a chance for you to miss a single second of attacking, and get obliterated. Plus some enemies just recovered really quickly - but that with the Bleed upgrade was just... jeez... Increased damage and basically permanent bleed - leading to even more damage My favourite weapon along side the Aeturnus [a weapon that I spent literal hours grinding for, and almost cried when it didnt drop [thankfully It did a few attempts later]]

I know what Im talking about is a mod for Fallout 4 [on Nexus] but still - I found that one of my favourite mods lets you transfer and remove Legendary effects, meaning for something like the Silver Tommy Gun - I could actually give it the Explosive Shots effect or something similar - which sure, is sort of just cheating - but such a godsend in many ways-!

Oh wow 11 months late oh well I like never use vats I think the fact that it's a CHANCE to hit versus me just actually shooting them is really really stupid why would I go for a 50 maybe 60% chance to hit that drains my AP when I could just you know aim down sights and guarantee a headshot I'd rather just actually aim than use vats the only time I use it is with a fatman because who the hell aims a fatman so i always find myself throwing away things like tinker toms gun and kellogs pistol the gainer is just better i dont have to roll the dice to hit i can just hit people for more damage

I’m very new to fallout 4. I watched my ex brother n law play 76 all the time so I was never a fan of the series. Now I’m balls deep into 4. This video was very helpful.

7:34 You don't have to get to the point of no return to get X6-88, just don't get in the elevator in the Mass Fusion quest. And you keep him if you destroy the Institute if you have him in a settlement.

MacCready and Porter Gage hold a special place in my heart as my husbands lol.

I usually have my luck, sneak and crit stats all the way up. I like using the Abilene, That Gun, and Love and Hate. Everything just explodes instantly from sneak.

I personally like piper because she’s a nice girl and I’m just a nice guy. Macready is also usually good. Those are my top two, but Hancock, valentine, and occasionally maybe even fair are good too. I recognize how dogmeat could be good, but I just like having companions who are human and can talk.

I completely agree with the gainer VS ashmaker. Debate simply because the gainer fires one bullet and has to cycle the chamber around whereas Ashmaker you are already committed to a barge of bullets

I think it would be funny if you didn’t get the range finder but power Archimedes if you could see a orbital strike free side from the tower your in.

when I use the spray N pray I kill my self because of raiders or my bad aim if they have a melee weapon and come up to me I use a different weapon

The unique hunting rifle is my all time favorite. Can almost kill everything in one shot with the right build and looks badass

Great video. I love how half the footage is just the companions bugging out getting stuck on stuff. I agree Dogmeat is definitely the best.

Ada is the best companion in my opinion. She has very cute dialogues and phrases, gives garbage (but very useful), she is a walking killing machine, especially with fully pumped modifications (unlike other robots, she rarely explodes due to weapon failure) and is suitable for every playthrough style. You can cut down the whole Diamond City and she will still be kind to you (which is logical, because she is a robot lol). Yes, sometimes it is annoying her inability to climb the stairs, etc., but maybe I'm just lucky, because during the fight she teleports to me. Love Ada❤

I have a automatic combat rifle that has the same legendary effect as wastelanders friend snd does 90 damage each hit you can predicted how long swan lasted

I recently got an explosive minigun, I don't do heavy weapons at all, I focus on non-automatic rifles... well, I used to. Next four levels went to the heavy gunner perk.

I only use Dogmeat and was thinking about changing to a different one, but nvm.

Mercenary’s grenade rifle is an all game weapon for me. Every time I see a line of legion assassins running my way, I put a grenade in VATS to hit the first and third guys in the group and then switch to whatever my regular gun is. And my main gun most of the game once I get to the strip is Maria. It does the job most of the time and it feels cool using the gun that tried to kill me to kill everyone. I just make Benny talk to me alone in the presidential suite and then I casually walk out the Tops front door with it. Then they find his body later, so weird. Heard it on the radio. Wonder what happened in there? *polishes the gun, whistling*
