The intro gave me an idea, im going to just start referring all fps as doom clones, flat out, just to be dismissive of them. Battle field? Doom clone. COD? Doom clone. Borderlands? Looter doom clone

I'm trying to think about the intro to this video. It doesn't work for me. I think that I was generally entertained by what you had to say in the intro but it took too long to get to Doom 3. A lot of what you had to say probably should have been cut, or in a Doom 1/2 video. I think the first 5 minutes of this video should have been cut down to 30 seconds.

My God I was stunned when I first time turned Doom3. I had GeForce4 Ti4200 128MB. Which was Good card, but Doom molested this card in 1124x768 on my 19 inch Syncmaster.

Also to continue nitpicking as a means to point out your expositional dump couldve included Doom 64, as that was technically the third main entry that wasnt Plutonia + TNT (actually just maps and a few new textures, as amazing as they are).

The main thing that Doom 2 changed aside from just mapd and 1 legendary, meta changing weapon.. was the monster roster making the core of the combat loop or puzzles for 30 years further. The engine was also changed a bit from Doom 1. Also the source code came out in 1997, but its nitpicking.

I am still keepin an eye on your channel, and lemme tell you I love supporting small creators. Either way: if you wanna do more OG Doom content, the wide crazy world of mods and WADs are another world entirely. Lotta talking points, and truly eternal.

THE game for Halloween (one of at least). About the Steam Library shenanigans, Id re-organized some of their games in the Steam Store, and apparently now if you want to buy DOOM 3, you receive the whole stuff, hence why you got the BFG edition and RoE for free out of nowhere. Happened to me too and apparently it affected other games but I'm not sure. Good vid and if I can get a little touchy here, I really like your videos and specifically your voice and how you manage to NOT sound monotone. I also (as a pure hobby) want to upload videos with a similar format, but sometimes I lose inspiration to do it. And then I saw your videos and remember why and how I want to do it. So thank you!

25:55 pretty sure the target identifier is a passive with no energy draw, but it needs to be both on and activated manually AND the button to activate it on an enemy is either not bound, or was bound to alt, it's slow and clunky, but it's good for tracking bigger targets through walls, and learning how much damage can the enemies take.

I BELIEVE if you right click on the pistol when it has the burst module, you do have the option to toggle between a semi and three round burst much like the mk22 assault rifle

Good to see so many positive comments about this game. Never played OG but as fan of Immersive Sims and FPS this caught my attention. That said, I heard since its such a faithful remake it still holds some of the older “jank”. But can’t comment for sure as yet to play. After watching some other videos and this one, looks like i’m going to have to jump in

I remember wrecking late game big brothers with the trap bolts. It's the one's that charge so they charge into the couple dozen trap bolts and flop over dead when they get to you.

I really enjoyed this episode, but I feel like it's a step down compared to Afterglow, especially in the writing department. It's also admirable that they're trying to increase the scope with voice acting and more cutscenes, but the amateurish nature of them takes away a bit more than they add, especially with how some NPCs (it might've just been the sergeant) are really inconsistent with what lines are voiced. I'd rather the voice acting be used to punctuate some scenes rather than be given to every character.

Fallen Aces and Gloomwood are two of my current favorite games. Love seeing them both get more recognition.

found you through the youtube algorithm, and im really impressed! i tried out both games and both were really enjoyable, but i am so sad that its so short on both ends. i loved playing through gloomwood esp since i was never apart of the thief era, and replaying the old thief games (and even the new one) was a bit of a chore due to its age. loved the analysis though! keep up the good work mate <3

You can one shot the goat man. First go to the attic and keep going forward till you can see an explosive barrel and gunpowder. Then place a bear trap in front of the crate thing next to it. Then just lure him up, get him stuck in the trap and use a fire round from the undertaker on the GUNPOWDER and it should one shot him. I play on blood moon and it works fine so on lower difficulties it should be easier. Also the hunts/woodsman are infected with something not necessarily cult members.

Just finished the game a month ago and I went with the other path and shot Baker which made the rest of the game more interesting because you no longer have the black market equipment/loadout screen and you have to make due with what you scavange from the levels. Really like it when games take everything away from you as a final test of the game's core mechanics. Nice review and best of luck👈
