Welcome to Diablo Flamenco!
This channel is dedicated to the art of Spanish classical guitar and flamenco guitar styles. Here you will find free lessons on classical/flamenco guitar playing for all levels of guitarists, as well as covers of famous classical/flamenco pieces.
"Diablo" is a 24-year-old Spanish guitarist from the United States. Diablo has dedicated his young life to unlocking the mysteries of these beautiful styles of guitar playing, and he loves sharing his knowledge with YOU! what about fandangos de huelva? its starting beat is 12 or 1?
Honestly Fandangos are funny with count. Technically they are 12 beats but most flamenco guitarists will count them as 3 beat cycles
@@diabloflamenco yes I see some guitarists count in 3 or 6 for example, but i want to know the origin counting and accented beats, in some compas application it says 12 as starting beat and it is an accented beat not like solea because in solea beat 1 is just an starter but 12 is accented beat in solea, and after that in some apps they wrote 12,3,6,9 are strong beats in fandangos but in some application they say 12,3,6,10,11 are stronger beats so i am so confused, please tell me if i want to master fandangos in 12 beat compas, which beat should be my starting beat and which beats are accented?🙏

Yes they are essential, but the techniques listed here are the MOST important to start with. You can play a lot of flamenco repertoire without any tremolo/alzapua 😉

I really appreciate your teaching style. The point of teaching is not to show how fast you can play or how great you are. It is to help someone who knows little to learn. Therefore it must start out slow. Yes, that is boring for the teaching, but the point is not for the teacher to be entertained, it is to teach the unlearned. Very informative! I’ve just started to use a cejilla on my Conde, and I have a question: how tight should the cejilla be? I’m figuring until there’s no buzzing on the open strings? Also, when I do put it on, I kinda clamp it with my fingers to apply pressure, rather that use the cejilla knob to do all the work. This seems to make sense, saving wear and tear on the hole and knob taper. Opinion? Thanks again!
The great thing about cejillas is that they apply less pressure to the guitar than normal capos do. You really only need to tighten it until all the open string notes are clear. Yes, I also use my fingers to hold the cejilla in place while I tighten. Thanks for watching!
