I made powders from broken-off pieces of pastels and Inktense blocks. I put them in a scrap of muslin, tied up with a rubber band. I often rub them over a whole page , to tint the paper before drawing.

Absolutely gorgeous! I adore the colors of autumn! This is really a lovely, journal, Kathleen! We are still in summer weather here in Kansas & it looks like we’ll still have this weather going into November! I wish you could write a book. Ever considered it? You have such unique creative ideas that are hard to process in a video. It would be a huge task I know. Your style is one I admire and wish I could install you in my craft room for continuing inspiration. LOL!

What a charming, whimsical autumn journal, Kathleen. I just love those bright colors and especially all of the stenciled leaves in those tones. The interactive pockets and flips are so fun, and of course, the authentic ephemera is always a favorite of mine. I read '24 on that prescription, too. Isn't it shocking that it is 100 years old? I had to stop the video and read that apple cake recipe. Sounds delicious. Interesting that it's baked in a shallow broiler-sized pan. Enjoyed this flip through as always. The little blue rose bead on the closure is sweet, too. I always love your journals.

Very pretty. The recycled notecard with the punched out butterfly is a nice addition. I also really like the way you used an Ideals page to create a pocket in the center of one of the signatures.
