      well he seems like the kinda guy who looks for more structure in his movies and lets be honest, the plot of this movie was pretty aight, the writing for the exposition faltered here n there, and despite being meta about it, it was pretty cliche. That's how all the DP movies are honestly. But I'm not watching DP for that, I'm watching them because they are fun movies that clearly have a lot of heart put into em. I do honestly believe that Deadpool and Wolverine is the best out of the three though because it was able to connect to 90% of all the other marvel properties officially. This movie felt like one of those one off cartoon superhero movies.

He does get some serious moments even if he makes people laugh. You know what? You're kind of right that he's better when teamed with others but can stand on his own during serious moments.

In Cody ziglar’s run specifically, he really cares for her and wants to make sure she is always safe and isn’t in danger. This run shows that he isn’t just an insane guy who kills people and actually has people he cares about.

    You make a lot of great points here and I like your list of things that are required to make a good Deadpool adaptation, but I don’t think you know why Deadpool keep failing into the same personal problems. Deadpool has very little self worth and doesn’t truly believe he can/deserves to be a better person, so he ends up sabotaging the rare moments of good in his life. Now obviously writers prefer him going through the same problems so they can make more stories about him, but 1. At least they have a solid reason and 2. That applies to many more characters than Deadpool. Also no matter how great a character is if they don’t resonate with you, you won’t care for them much but that’s not a bad thing.

    It's a lot of things. One, a lot of studios are making movies for specific audiences to make up for past injustices, and for diversity, equity, and inclusion. So they're not making movies for people like me. We've had our time. Two, people like me don't have to go to the theater for a great movie experience. When I was a kid the best we had at home was maybe a low resolution 27"-32" CRT TV, with crappy sound. So going to the theater was a huge difference. Now I have a 85" inch high definition TV with a great sound system, and my library of old "now outdated" DVDs, Blu-Rays, and UHD discs. So, the studios are going for a different demographic, don't want my business and have told me they're not making movies for people like me, I have the viewing experience I want at home, ....so, everyone should be happy, right?

  • @詩遥
    @詩遥 4 месяца назад

    As someone who stumbled across this video thanks to youtube suggestions: I would totally go to the theater more often if it was ever a pleasant experience. Last few times I've gone with a friend or my husband other people selfishly decide that theater = their own private showing where they can do whatever they want. It's understandable that there's going to be some level of noise when multiple people are in a room together, but no it does not feel good to spend $15-20 on a ticket for a 9pm showing of a Saw sequel just to have some SELFISH parent bring in an infant or toddler who is constantly scared by the noise/imagery and crying/screaming. Used to be when that happened they'd be shamed out of the theater or even escorted out by staff. These days the staff on hand is like a single 16 year old who not only couldn't care less, but also shouldn't have to deal with someone screaming in their face about how everyone else should have to listen to their toddler because they couldn't afford a babysitter. As it stands we've been getting a room in our house set up with a massive tv, speakers, theater seats, and a popcorn/soda/candy station, and we have a much better experience watching films than we would visiting pretty much any theater. And it isn't JUST the prices that's doing that to people (though the cost certainly doesn't help).

It's a clear choice to me which is superior and it's not movie theaters.

    I feel it’s entirely in the hands of the studios. I feel like a lot of them need to connect with the general movie fans more in order to gauge of what they would want to see. Like, while Furiosa was good, it wasn’t really something I feel large audiences wanted. I agree with you that the biggest issue is that studios let the theatrical window be way too small for many movies. Dune P2 making 711 million is so impressive, maybe it could’ve made a billion if left in the theater for more than like a month and a half. I would be more motivated to see a lot of the smaller movies in theaters if they weren’t on streaming 2 weeks after release.

    Problem is the value of theaters just sucks compared to other forms of entertainment. For example, even the cheap morning or early afternoon showings in my area are still close to $15 a seat with fees and taxes. If you want an Imax or real 3D showing where you’re actually getting an experience you can’t get at home or you can only watch movies in the evenings it comes close to $20. So you can pay $15-20 for a 3 hour movie. Or you can pay a streaming service $10-15 for a month and watch all the movies you want that’s available on it for a solid month, plus TV series and other specials. You don’t have to leave the house, you don’t have to deal with people on their phones or talking, you can start the movie when you want to, you can pause the movie to go to the bathroom and you can buy some cheap snacks. You don’t have to sit through a half hour of commercials to get to the movie. If you watch a movie every two days that’s essentially 15x the value of a movie ticket. Or you can pay $10 a month for Gamepass and play a bunch of games a whole month or rent a movie for $4. Also if you don’t live near an independent theater that focuses more on non mainstream stuff and don’t like the hollywood blockbuster mold or cashing in on sequels and remakes you don’t have many options. Movie theaters just don’t work in modern times for the most part, baring huge events or cultural phenomenons like Barbenheimer. Streaming is just superior in every other way. They worked when you had no other options for movies or home releases took like a year and would cost about the same as a couple of tickets. Nowadays Id rather wait 3 months for them to show up on streaming services.

    • @theblankproductionhouse
      @theblankproductionhouse 4 месяца назад

      These are all fair points! But the point remains that you’re not really paying for one movie, you’re paying for the experience. Even if you have a great tv with great sound you can’t replicate the theater. Yeah the prices are inflated now but that’s partially because people aren’t going (but mostly because companies are greedy!). If theaters die you won’t get a Barbenheimer again and that would suck. No movie that has gone straight to streaming has made the splash that a major theatrical one has made, I think that says something. Plus, the companies moving priority to streaming also exists for scummy business practices like avoiding paying actors residuals, and now the consumer doesn’t really “own” the media they purchase. But that’s more related to the physical media debate. Agree or disagree, I hope you got something from the video! Thanks for watching!
