Honestly, better music and not saying those cheesy sentences that have been said a billion times on RUclips in every „cinematic tutorial“ video would’ve made these shots actually feel cinematic. I was waiting for the cinematic shots for 90% of the video until I realised that you aren’t showing yourself travelling there with standard RUclips blog shots, you’re actually showing the cinematic shots. Music and sound is just as important if not more important than the video itself. This is the perfect example of why that’s the case. Everything in the film is selling an idea and this one is selling „I’m a cheesy RUclips video“ vibes to me. These aren’t bad shots but the RUclips library hacksmithesque/kingofrandom like rock music and dialog is completely changing the message behind it.

P.S. Did you adjust the shutter speed range or just leave it at the default (1/60 - 1/8000)? Also, I just noticed your question at the end about processing power. 4K footage is gonna be more power hungry when doing editing, but I did hear that the codecs matter. I think by default this camera is set to HVEC, which I've heard needs a really beefy PC when editing. I changed mine to H.264. That's all I can think of at the moment.

What's the difference between a higher and lower fps? Thx😊

Gonna try 0.3 ev for exposure comp. I am finding that this camera likes to crush shadows and blacks, so we'll see how that goes.

Is 720 good for RUclips?

Why not in 4k then? Any advantage other than the lower file size for 2.7k?

Registered both my osmo action 4 and action 2 on both my samsung fold and samsung galaxy tab s8 with no issues. I can pair both cameras to either device anytime with no issues.

Supposedly autofocus sucks on this camera? Is that true?

In my collection 0f cameras and lens, i have six micro 4/3 bodies Panasonic G9 and G95 Olympus OMD1 MK2 and MKIII, EM5 MK III and EM10 MK IIII. If I had to chose one lens and frankly i never could, i would pick Olympus 12-40 f2.8. Its sharp wide open and as an everyday lens is great, as for prime i have a bunch of Panasonic and Olympus lens and they all work great. Even though 4/3 lens are smaller than most other glass good ones are not cheap, you can buy on the used market and i have purchased many lens for my different cameras from Adorama and B&H photo both in New York city but there's other stores depending on where you live.

I no longer have any native MFT glass. And I don't have a MFT body (except for a BMPCC4K). I made a move to Fuji, then to Panasonic FF. I kept one MFT lens through it all -- the Oly 45 f1.8. Tells you all you need to know about that lens. I got silver too from eBay, and I'd much rather have black lol. Looking for a compact travel body has led me right back to MFT, so I'll be reacquiring a lot of these lenses.

Would u buy one now for about 500€? I have another cameras like Sony A7iii and Fuji XT30 but i always loved Lumix due to its stabilization. I want to learn more about video and i think this could be a very good camera for that. Nowadays only do photos with my gear...

Very nice and interesting video! Thanks! I currently have 3 photo lenses with my Gx80. The 12-32mm, a 25mm f1.7 and the 35-100mm. The first and third are kit lenses but are pretty incredible and often underestimated! I find that I can cover any situation with these three lenses.

The 17mm 1.8 is a little banger of a lens!

What are your thoughts on 12-60 f2.8-4 Lumix g vario by panasonic.

The best reason is Open Gate, the image is much nicer than on my S5II, GH6 or G9II. Free from any stupid sharpening or details filtering.

I own the GH5II since it was released. The only 2 this I miss is the Dual Native ISO from the GH5S and Internal ND's. I think those should be elementary for a heavy video centric camera

There is no Arabian nor African architecture. u have to be meticulous. There is ONLY Moroccan Architecture. Inside Morocco as well as countries occupied by Moroccans such as SPAIN AND ALGERIA.

Hey. I have owned my Panasonic GH5 from new for about 3 years. I mainly use it to make short movies. My latest short film, 'An Impossible Secret' which I didn't write by the way, I was the assistant producer, director and cinematographer has so far won 11 film awards, and we are still waiting to hear more from film festivals. So yes, the Panasonic GH5 is definitely a go for camera. 😃🙌
