I’ll never get an apartment. My brother’s gf had very loud neighbors to the point she moved in with my brother I prefer to live with my mom until I can afford a house

There should be a law that between every floor and room you need to have 14 centimeters of rockwool in your ceiling and wall for sound insulation. There should also be a law that every human being has a right to their own house with at least 14 meters distance to any next house. Apartment buildings can be nice... In movies.

If apartments were constructed properly with good sound insulation this wouldn't be a problem in most cases. But unfortunately builders are greedy and only care about cost-cutting and profit rather than building comfortable homes for people.

I can relate. Except mine was worse. Even normal walking I can hear the squeaky sound of every steps/floor area from upstairs. And the dude wakes up everyday at 7am, sometimes goes to midnight pee at 2am, 3am, 4am etc. I’m thinking to get a ceiling vibrator to fight back, since condo association couldn’t care less and actually accused ME not complying their floor rules, no kidding. How did you work it out at the end except moving away?

It likely sounds worse in person. My upstairs neighbors, from thumps, drops, repetitive thumps and progressively become louder and sharper vibrate my entire apartment. Even after hours still property management does nothing. I have talked with the neighbors but seems to not matter. I even have used my bose sound system to use white noise like rain or thunder, then they complain. Im sorry you are going through this. Its hard for sure. Good luck.

What can I do about this

My neighbor has 3 kids all they do is run jump, make loud noises and she knows it because I sent complaints to office and they told her about it one time! now they do nothing after multiple complaints, so I called the cops he told her to keep the noise down but it’s still happening so what I do is blast my tv loud on a school night when they settle down and she tries to do the same thing but can’t last long because she’s disturbing her kids trying to disturb me and they all have to get up 6 am 😊

The worst is when u have a nympho upstairs it’s like that 24/7 especially when she the gf with no job fkin the whole apartments 😂

I've bought three noise machines. Plus I turn the TV on as well and I put the TV on in the other room. The only way to get away from noisy neighbours is to make more noise Yourself. That's the only thing that works for me

Wow! I hope things have gotten better for you. Kids should not be allowed to live on a second floor rental without reinforced silent flooring. Their should be some law against not having silent flooring. That's enough to make you insane. Especially with parent who let their troubled kids run around like crazy. Sorry you are going through this, or hopefully it's it's in the past.❤

Sounds like my upstairs neighbors day and night wish I had the money to move but I don’t they stomp yell scream till 2-3 am on the weekend and during the week till 1-2 am they have loud obnoxious parties every weekend and don’t give a fuck me and my bf are quiet neighbours these pricks make our lives a living hell and to top it off their dog sometimes barks in the middle of the night too when we’re trying to sleep they just have no respect or consideration for anyone else once we save the money we are moving asap

Dealing with the same thing…had a feeling they were tweaked…turns out I was right. Late night bowling ball drops above us, foot stomps…never ended.

I have a same problem thinking about moving out from rented apartment before i lose patience.

Good thing i'm back home at my brother's place in Pittsburgh temporarily.
