Kurt Sanderling - Reisender durch ein Jahrhundert
A documentation of the great conductor Kurt Sanderling
Ein Mann , nix für den woken Zeitgeist. Schönes Porträt....
He belonged to the very right and conservatory party. No thanks
A genius. The only romantic conductor left.

This Zarathustra opening is so majestic!
Hochachtung ! Toller Mann ! 🙏
Iam immersed in a dazzling sea of Debussy’s musical aesthetics and washed by waves of impression and comfort and pleasure🗻🎎🏯🌊🌸💮⛩️㊗️🎌
1. Das Ende vom „Rheingold“, Einzug der Götter nach Walhall 2. Beethoven’s 7. Symphonie
Beethovens 7., zweiter Satz

Chris - who were you talking about - regarding "kappelmeister"?
The very highlight of human creation
I heard him conduct Wagner in Bayreuth, he received a prolonged standing ovation at the place that the audience has very high expectations. In my opinion he should have received the Position at Berlin but alas the always politically correct Germans gave it to a Russian. Oh well maybe someday they will come to there senses.
Not „the Germans“ voted against him in Berlin, but the orchestra had the last word to decide. Which makes sense. And the orchestra is pretty international
La Mer looks great Turner’s seascape paintings La Mer is unrivaled by any other sea music
What? You mean a viscous "Sea Shanty" won't cut it? Ha ha.. just a joke from Texas..... Peace out... this is the best I've heard. Salonen is Tops in my book.
how do you get to grips with a piece like this!? I just gave up and let the sea rock and roll me...
He is a great conductor
His performance is always ellegant ‼
Currywurst, Döhnoff Villa, Ostpreußen, house in Potsdam, Frederick the Great on the wall... The German attitudes are fun and give the performances a certain flavour. Main thing is he's a very good musician and can rehearse an orchestra.
Wunderbar! Danke für dieses Porträt.🌹
You rule over the majestic sea; when its waves surge, you calm them. psalm 89:9

He's brilliant when making pieces his own. He conducts with such grace and passion. One is compelled to watch him.
A highly talented and an excellent musician but from another century. A guy from the past with the mentality of the past and an ultra-conservatism on a political, intellectual and musical level. That's why he'll never be one of the greatest conductors of his time. Klemperer, Furtwangler and the others were modern people back in their days...
Wrong. he is one of the greatest!
@@karlheven8328 ok
Wunderbar vielseitiges Portrait❗DANKE ❣
What is the music at 44:10? Is it Mahler?
Finale of Mahler's 8th.
@@ahmetatabey3861 Thank you!
Check this for me, please. Mr. C.T. probably has Sun Square Pluto, Mercury Square Pluto, or Venus Square Pluto (or any variation thereof, e.g., Venus 45* Pluto).

@@filipporeutener9975 thank you very much
Merci !!!!
Look how far back the flautist's pinky bends back while he's holding the E flat key down. It's almost like a 90 degree angle. That's wild. 😲😲😲

außergewöhnlich
11:34 Hans Knappertsbusch I was impressed with the movie of him moving.
Mariss Jansons had the gift of making his orchestras great, without forcing them (like Toscanini and Karajan), but to transfer his understanding of music to the musicians so that they could feel and express the depth of the music. In this way he managed to have Mahler's giant orchestras and giant choirs both play chamber music and have the gigantic eruptions sounded without noisy hollowness. He led the symphonists of the Bayerischer Rundunk to international standing with his understanding of music, while the once great Munich Philharmonic gambled away the legacy of Celibidache under Thielemann and Gergijew. - Heinz
- Heinz
Takk for sist, Mariss! Takk for ditt myke tyranni!
