After a long year of waiting, @The Great British Bake Off has finally started!
I have always wanted to try and bake along with the series, so this year I have decided to take the plunge and try to make every technical challenge. I will be quite busy with school work from now on, but will try to make time for the episodes each week🤞

While it was boiling i just tasted one it feels so bitter now i am afraid to do further process 😅😅
You're doing a few things wrong. A. no need to mix the milk and flour first, you do that later anyway. B. you add the sugar WITH the yeast, not with dry ingredients. It will turn out way fluffier because the yeast can eat the sugar instantly and proof better.
There's no point adding warm milk and yeast without something for the yeast to "eat". I suggest adding the sugar or at least some of it in there first.

Nice effort, however, these are not alfajores. Alfajores are like shortbread cookies, they don’t rise when they bake, they remain flat and are very porous and very, very pale in color pretty much the same color as the dough. You have to bake them for 8-10 minutes. Oh, I forgot, alfajores also call for brandy or cognac.
Instead of the roux, i use mashed potatoes…also about a teaspoon of flour conditioner…yeah, i said it. is it cheating? i don’t care…all i know is the the brioche comes out soft, light and chewy. goes well with a smash burger.
