Just upgraded to an Ali Express 7” frame and have a video on that soon. Deformed better for cruising… looking forward to some nice weather

RUclips flagged your comment and then I realised I never check my "held comments" and had a few to approve... I should have made more of a point of the fact the Geneva convention is as useless as having many of our current drone rules. I will make a follow up, as I feel this may have gone over some peoples' heads. Although I stand by my points that I would not like to see them used in such horrific ways, especially one I highlighted, it won't change and in fact will continue to get much much more sophisticated on the battlefield. While this happens, we shall see civil liberties and rights eroded further. I was trying to make a point that while we fly as hobbyists and cause maybe some damage to property in the worst case scenario - WE THE PEOPLE are getting restricted. All the while unrestricted warfare is ever adapting and seems unregulated, more malicious and malevolent. It's not if, but when a scumbag does - and it will have extreme ramifications on the hobby - but ZERO on malevolent people. (Which is what I was trying to touch on with the recent horrible thing that happened in the UK, which increased laws FOR EVERYONE ELSE). Crazy world.

@FPVwineUK yeah I was doing some other bits as I listened and that makes sense. The Geneva convention is just a bit silly. I'm glad chemical weapons are banned but we keep nukes and still manage to end lives in a myriad creative ways and the killing will just keep on going. I find giving rules and regulations to it a weirdly performative exercise. You're spot on. The normal person gets hurt, cars, knives, fists, and words can be used to spread terror but you can't just stop people moving, cooking, or talking. This is part of a larger picture in the world, and in this case the UK. I was actually talking to my other half today about your Karen situation and the farmer who didn't like me flying over his barren field. She was saying why can't you just fly over it from somewhere else? I didn't go into LOVS and other rules in any depth but she seemed perplexed it needed to be so complex. I went off on a tangent about the battle of the beanfield when the police beat up all those people living free before solstice at stonehenge. The true malevolent will carry on as usual and freedoms will be eroded bit by bit until any honest person dissenting is viewed as malevolent by our sociopathic system of government.

Yep! I truly hope not, but over my years of living rules and regulations have just got stricter and stricter and more ridiculous each day I am alive. Xjet covers it quite well. Ultimately, it;ll be the usual suspects and mega corps lobbying governments to own more stuff...

@@danoodleman7778 110% - I genuinely don’t think that they would do anything to stop usage in warfare. My point being that if the governments CAN enforce civilians to have stupid regulations, why in hindsight can’t we push for humanitarian laws within their usage in war (which will most likely be ignored anyway).

@@anticrossviper1609 yeah! Although I’m being generally serious with my observations and points - it’s the same as civilian usage now. There are loads of drone rules, but at least in the UK not enough police to even police the serious crime - let alone 17 yo Harry with his DJI Avata in the town centre. I sadly know that our governments virtue signal while being funded and driven by the military industrial complex. Sadly. However, my point here is that is almost ridiculous to ask the military to stop, so why are WE?! When we are just wanting to have fun… and do no harm.

@@Fpv_sean seems they’re clamping down on everything fun! The amount of AI road side cameras is crazy! I just hope the hobby groups keep working and pushing for better rights with the government.

Taking your frightened dog to somewhere where there is a helipad is stupid, plus I had the land owners permission (to take off) so she’s 110% just out for a yell. I’m the same. As a skateboarder I’ve learnt to out nice them and be clever with it.

@FPVwineUK your vid on the a2cofc was great as well, will be worth getting a few months down the line. It would be good to have a bit more legal backing and knowledge. I always feel I'm doing something 'bad' like I'm waiting on the street corner for a guy with a manbag even when in a deserted field. I'm just having some fun!

@ If you’re just a hobbiest I would recommend getting a membership with FPVUK. It actually gives you access to a separate law that you can explain to the police or public if you’re ever intimidated.

@@FPVwineUK i have thought about that, it's definitely cheaper. Saying A2 COFC makes you sound like a badass though. "Actually madam, I'm an a2cofc, CAA certified commercial UAV pilot" 😂

@ it definitely would help in stickier situations I think. It shows you’ve spent time and money learning. I actually think the course is helpful too, maybe obvious to some but not always!

I'm still getting started so being rtf and not having to buy an action cam heavily factored into me buying DJI avata 2, though I know I'll need to rebuild and repair my own gear as time goes on but I love the o4 quality. I can whack o4 in when I start building and be ready to go, could be all you need on the 7 inch

@ yeah, I’m on V2 goggles. No O4 for me! I had thought about an O3 in a 7” or even a 5” tbh! Might as well place an action cam on a 7” though! Maybe one day invest in an Action5

@@FPVwineUK the frame is called "the Great Discus" from @torontofpv you can get it from him directly or via cncdrones its a pretty sturdy and versatile sub250 3.5inch frame (if you gett the 4mm version :D ) pairs perfect with the crux 35 it loves 1404 3800kv motors, a aio, any single board vtx (naked o3 is possible too) and 650mAh 4s lipos (love the dogcom ucell ones) i use it for flying freestyle its a blast cause its very quiet compared to a 5 inch or even a heavier 3,5inch it has good flight time plenty of power and you can put a light action cam on it like a insta360 go2-3 or a thumb pro / 2 imagine your volador build but 100g lighter basically ps.: im a known dji hater but you could put a o4 lite in there no problem

Thanks. I think it was most likely because it landed in water many months ago. I used it recently and I think it had burned out (Or had a dodgy connection). Coincidentally this has happened to me before!

That'll be a ripper! Mine are 1804 3100kv and it's a beast in comparison to my 1404s. Agreed on everything else, although I find a 3.5" harder to fly when it has an action cam attached!
