One BIG Reason Why Strength Training is Priceless
Almost skipped my leg workout tonight, and I'm REALLY glad I didn't. Not just because I didn't puss out, but because of the proof of concept it gave me, showing me how much stronger I've gotten since last time. HUGE motivational factor to keep moving forward.

Don’t do this when you start exercising again

Having just recently gotten back on the weight loss horse (is that a thing?), I'm making a point of going slow and not trying to restart everything all at once. Well it pretty much does - that’s the green bar at the top of your daily log page. If you have bonus calories they are automatically figured into that total. The green bar shows how much you’ve eaten and how much you have left.

    Congrats man!! just out of curiosity, do you eat your exercise calories??

    • @StayinginGear
      @StayinginGear Год назад

      Thanks Lou! To answer your question, depends on what you mean. Lose It has a feature called "bonus calories" that works in conjunction with a fitness tracker. If you're past your "target burn" for the day, then any additional activity is credited as bonus calories. I do take advantage of that, yes, and have done so throughout my weight loss journey. Apart from that, blindly eating back any calories you've burned from exercise isn't a good idea. For example if I've gone for a two-mile walk and burned 200 calories, but spend the rest of the day sitting at my desk, chances are I won't hit my target burn. So eating back the 200 calories burned from exercise in that situation would be a mistake. I did a video about this awhile back: ruclips.net/video/4bL_HTjje7E/видео.html Does that answer your question? Cheers.

    I'm so glad to see you're posting again! Congrats on getting even closer to your goal! That's GOT to feel good! My recent couple of months have set me back a bit, but I just started a 30-day yoga challenge, so I'm hoping to at least get physically active again. (Gently - yoga with a little biking... can't do high heart rate stuff just yet...) PLUS I'm playing around with making healthier (not healthy... just healthier) cookies for y'all's next performance. 😂💙 Seriously, I'm glad to see this video... I really enjoy your podcasts and have missed your updates. You help keep me focused. 😊

    Congrats. I started using loseIt in February. Down 10 pounds. Have similar goals as yours, found your videos encouraging.

    Very glad to see you back! And congrats on keeping on track. I’ve reached my goal weight a couple of months ago and I am now maintaining. I am probably the lightest I’ve ever been in my adult life and I can’t quite believe it. Good luck with all your endeavours. Keep us posted.

      Wonderful! Thanks so much and congrats. Funny, at this rate it might take me the rest of this year to lose these last couple pounds.
