Learning To Skate A Pump Track (With No Experience)
Thanks for taking the time to make this, its super useful. I get the urge to cram as much as possible into a short form video, but when you're trying to explain new concepts to newbies, the high speed talking make it harder to take ut all in, maybe slow down about 5%!
what coding boot camp would you recommend I head towards
This is interesting for me. I’m a SWE that interviewed a lot of people. They were all BS/MS grads. HR threw away all resumes that were not.
Makes me sad to hear but I completely get it. Especially since most non traditional applicants just don't know about applicant tracking systems and how to get around them I recently got hired again and my educational background was barely discussed. Everything has changed in the last year tbh - will have a new video about that out in the next few weeks
One thing I find out by doing research , is you need certification from the different solftware that is use for coding and data analysis. Furthermore, You can take the exam for them online. Down side, you paid out of pocket.
Do you get plunged or do the plunging?
What’s your opinion on Tripleten?
Wanting to know the same!
Thanks for the video.
Could it be that the fundamental skills you mention might have been something one would acquire by finishing college? That's what a CS degree is designed to provide. Bootcamp coding instruction is primarily for teaching the syntax and vocabulary of the trendy computer languages of the day. Learning basic computer architecture, networking fundamentals, and algorithms happen when acquiring degrees in CS or engineering degrees focused upon IT.
Your videos just make sense to me, thank you.
Tech debt ?
You are a great motivator. Please continue to spread the fruits of your talent. You don’t have a million followers yet… this will come. You do great because you are authentic. Kind regards 💐
how do you feel about TripleTen?
Did you ever go with it?
Did you try it?
To expensive, gateway community charges 3900 vs tripleten was like 12k
I’d rather watch paint dry.
@@NightOwlUtopia okie dokie!
As a recent graduate from a Software Engineering Bootcamp who has been struggling with the job market, this video has provided some much-needed insight and very helpful advice to me personally! Currently crafting my own personal elevator pitch and I'm going to start focusing on what "tech stack" these jobs I'm applying to have in common. Thank you for this video Jack, you've helped inspire me so much and earned yourself a new sub! I will be checking out the channel for more videos as well. =)
This video is SO informative and helpful for anyone in boot camp or considering coding (like me). Thank you so much for sharing!
What bootcamp did you go to?
Not true, I know Senior devs who can't even get any interview off LinkedIn. The tech market is total trash right now , and most companies are posting ghost jobs
Depends which state youre in. Minnesota is booming.
Does anyone recommend TripleTen or NGT Academy?
I was looking a triple ten...but I don't know
@@wildboz27 wat do you prefer? I actually got a call from triple ten. They give you four choices in the program starting at 4 months to 8months. They want you to pay 4k to 7k for their four classes which are “quality insurance engineer, software engineer, business intelligence & Data Science.”
Thanks for the video this is really helpful.
lmao it's usually my left peach cheek
lmao, it's usually me too
After a 10 year career in the music industry I decided to switch to a career in data science. I’ll finish my coursera data science program at the end of this month and then I start bootcamp next month. Having a background as a music industry professional, does it help to go for data science jobs that are related to my past experience, as well as other data science jobs? Love your channel!Your videos helped me decide to go to boot camp 😊
this vid made me emotional thinking about all the work i have to put in🥲🥲
Loved this video super informative and polished 🙌
@@wack9306 thank you :)
This video is amazing! Thank you!
Nice video but based on the title i was really searching for help as to how to sell everything. The title is a bit misleading. The video covered very little on the subject matter.
I sold everything through FB marketplace, craigslist, and offer up! Just take nice photos, monitor prices and drop them if you're not selling, taking cash only is also usually a good idea. Let me know if you have any more questions! Selling things wasn't too hard because I had a finite amount of space in the car. Everything else either had to be sold or donated. Tough to part with some of it but worth it in the long run :)
When
What? How? Who, perhaps?
Great 👍🏽 advice
mmm
I do this a lot and do not plan to stop
True do
Jim Carrey????
Good afternoon, good evening, and good night!
I guess they figured it out all on their own and the new generation should do.
my tech lead is 26 years old
What is jim carrey up to now?
Writing bad code
That’s not supposed to be there!!
Well at least it wasn't missing a semicolon
Best reply
Ay that was good
Winamp?
I mean it's our job! Hahaha
Can you recommend me the most flexible bootcamp that will not cost an arm and a leg? I do live in nyc and i don’t mind learning from home or going to a class as i have a job that allows me to be flexible
Hello there! I am also from NYC and just finished TripleTen bootcamp. Not sure what an arm and a leg for you would be, but their SE program is around $9700 right now. I have a 30% referral coupon if you would be interested in joining them.
@@6ent1send me the coupon please!
@@6ent1 Hello, maybe a rude question for you, but did you find job and what course did you finish? Thanks
@@d.a.2499 right now is a tough time to find any jobs in the tech industry from what i am checking. I am currently in the career acceleration program so hopefully it will help with the job search.
@@d.a.2499 Hi, Im one of the graduated student from that bootcamp who came out of High school and joined. I’m telling you it’s not easy at all!!! Some people who joined this are having very strong background in education with multiple degrees and experience working in their resume. For me now it’s really hard to find a job because lack of background. What my resume has now is only those few projects from the bootcamp and education from there. But I can’t say it’s bad or not because there are some people who actually get a job from it and I just shared what I experienced. The bootcamp will teach MERN stack which is mostly JavaScript.
Bummer this is a dead channel. liked the vids so far.
@@rdmercer Not dead yet but the channels definitely in rehab lol - been an insane few months and I have a LOT to update y’all on. We’re not even done with phase 1 yet 👀
This guy does Adderall
I wish lmao
More like soy
Nah the DEA decided nobody actually needs adderal anymore so you basically can’t get a prescription
Do you recommend TripleTen?
I’m waiting for the same answer
@@trustambitions2064 I figured a great place out. Coursera. Check it out.
I just graduated this program. If anyone wants to go the bootcamp route, i highly recommend them. It is self paced, and they have tutoring sessions on a daily basis, as well as a discord community helping you with any question you have, or when you get stuck. I have a 30% referral discount code if anyone is interested in joining them, until the end of the year.
@@6ent1 hi! Do you mind sharing your code?
@@6ent1hi! im interested, i’m 17 turning 18 soon. the job market is insane and i believe this will help me get my foot in the door
Honestly, I did not expect to have some good advices from the video
@@adamf5018 glad it could help! feel free to reach out if you have any specific questions :)
@@JackCalvinRoss hello Jack thank you for your response. I just discovered your channel and I’m going through your videos, but I was wondering if you have a favorite website for Bootcamp for data analytics jobs?

Shut it peasent, people have their own choice of transport
what bootcamp did you do. I am having a hard time finding the right bootcamp
And how exactly should this work with dialects that have written words even native speakers cant always read?
This is a super interesting (and important) problem that a few people I know are trying to solve over at the Endangered Languages Project. Hoping to see some big breakthroughs in this space in the next few years!
Great so apple is storing all our text messages on a datacenter somewhere in the name of "generative learning" wonderful
