My mom has the entire set of adam pink depression glass no chips or cracks. Also the entire set of green but I do not know the print. It is all mine eventually. It all came from my grandmother. It is definitely real.

Bread sticks from Basil boys are awesome ( with the home made ranch to dunk in) , along with baked good from Lev's Bakery. If you like a old fashioned hardware store stop at Martin's home center , fun fact that store sells more Lazy boys that any other store because the prices are so good.

You left out an important point. The fact that many depression glass patterns were also made in clear. Everyone likes to focus on the colors. I've even had one lady tell me a piece wasn't depression glass because it wasn't colored although I was very familiar with the pattern. Although the clear pieces are usually not as valuable as the colored, they are generally much easier to find at thrift stores and flea markets.

I sold a few of these on a yard sale 15 years ago before I knew they were sought after. I still have several of the blue cornflower ones that I love, reminds me of my mom.

I live in Jackson and get to visit this antique shop often. Always find something to take home with me. The folks there are so kind, helpful, knowledgeable and friendly.

I was 13 in 1974 when the nuns at my Catholic school broke up a complete set of pink Adam Depression glass for a penny carnival fundraiser. I won three lots. I've been collecting it ever since. My collection is now about 98% complete.

You guys make me want to move to Michigan! I don't think I'd ever buy a surprise box.

I know this video is 2 years old. Just wanted to say that it would have been very very much helpful if you could have actually put the names of the different styles of Italian glass that you butchered (lol) on the screen so that we could have it for identification. Just an FYI

I love collecting Carnival Glass been collecting for over 40 years. I found My first piece at a yard sale for only 25¢ while I was in highschool. Trying to fine tune My collecting now looking for old piece's. Is it true that the older piece's are thinner?

I bought a cornflower blue pot ffrom the 70's a few days ago at a thrift store, I regret it as I found out they have lead. Can you explain why it's so valuable if we can't cook with them due to the lead content? I don't know what to do with my pot and I can't return it.

Tecumseh is one of my favorite small towns to visit. Antique shop is so lovely and a fun stop when in town and Salsarias next door has great food and service.

How do we make history cool? In your opinion what is interesting about history? I am trying to figure out how to sell it so we can survive well as a species. Thank you for sharing your thoughts on what and why something may be valuable. Nice to think there are enough people who it is important to to use old pictures and memorabilia in art and media but also broker these artifacts. We cant lose the connection (knowledge and experience) to the past or and when we do history repeats. The historical record keeping preservation which always when examined closely is like seeing into the future but only if you are very familiar with the past.

I went to FB marketplace today looking for old Cast iron pans...Am going tomorrow & buying an old #8 Griswald chicken fryer w/ lid for 125.oo & it looks brand new.....had a lye bath... Another guy is selling me 5 old pans, three #8's & two # 10's he said there's Griswald & Wagner's both, all five for 50.oo...he had a pic, they all are in good shape, just have surface rust.... I am VERY happy...
