Unboxing the Oyster Tempo Cooler: Is It Worth $495?
Hey everyone! Today, I'm unboxing the latest high-end camping gear on the market-the Oyster Tempo Cooler. With a price tag of $495, this isn't your everyday cooler, but I’m excited to share my initial impressions.
In this video, I take you through my journey of how I sold some unused camping gear to guilt-free fund this purchase-a real win-win! I'll walk you through the unboxing experience step by step, from what’s inside the box to assembling the cooler (can we talk about those handles?). Along the way, I’ll provide some first impressions of the cooler's build quality, functionality, and features.
Does the hype match the price? Should you consider upgrading your outdoor gear collection? I'...

    Nice review and nice job hustling to come up with the funds. I spent 45 on my yeti travel mug but I use it every day. That’s not bigger than my Engel bait cooler and I bet it keeps cold just as long as this. Seems way over priced but time will tell

    Perfect solution. This is how I reinforced corners on the tent end covers I made out of king size quilted blanket throws. I bought hog rings for sausage making for the bungee. And I added helmets from my local RV dealer to hook the blankets up top. On my popup, I used the back screws on the travel clamp bracket and on the hybrid I drilled new locations.

Acrylic Paint with a Water mixture makes great canvas paint, flexible and durable... but who cares what I think lol you did a great job 🤟🇨🇦

    Hey, I know this is a late comment but just wanted you to know that a charging station stating it can do 350kw does not mean Rivian can do it too. I believe rivian can go as fast as 220kw, this is because the battery is at 220v. It the voltage was higher then it can probably do more. I just had a road trip from LA to grand canyon. 140-200kw was around my speed, and keep it mind the charging is slower as the battery becomes fuller. You can probably see 200kw until 20-30% then the KW will drop to maybe 150kw -170kw depending on how consistent the charging is. Anyways you probably have already figured it out but incase you haven't this is just some information I want to share.

    Had the same thing happen with the door falling off with our Trillium. We ended up having to replace the wood inside that cavity and reglassing it. Lots of work but worth it to know that the door won’t come off again.

    Hi. Great video. I was your first view! Do you have a 40 amp EVSE? With that large battery pack, the 25% faster 40 amp unit speed really helps with getting a full charge.

    • @CampBoulder
      @CampBoulder Год назад

      Yes I do! I actually use it at home all the time. However, I never know what the outlet is gonna be like when I get to a campsite. If I find a 50 amp outlet, then things go great.

    You should run load on a circuit breaker at 80% of the CB current rating. A 50 A breaker should be run at a maximum of 40 amps.

  • @jntaylor63

    Great video. As more people make the switch, charging is going to only get better. One of my favorite replies to ICE defenders about range and charging availability is to say say " I know right, remember when gas cars first came out they all got 50 mpg and gas stations all popped up at once like weeds?"

    Thanks for the video. Traveling by EV is still in it's infancy in the U.S. and it is a different mindset. You've proved that the long road trip can be done and that you just need to be willing to take your time for re-charge. It's a great compromise for not directly dumping fossil fuels. The charging network is a bad as it's going to be right now and is getting better.

    Love Rivian and Tesla however road tripping and charging don't mix well. You got quite a few free charges and yet overall economy when compared to a gasoline counterpart was pretty comparable. I blame the kwh price gouging associated with many of these charging stations along with their inferior equipment.
