Love the act your age, eve brown playlist on spotify.
That Bee planner is so cute! Adding to my cart because I think that layout will work for me
My Momz sez a persun iznt reely ur fren until they haz spent a nyt in ur gest room or haz eetin at ur dinner taybl. Ur dog fren Gatsby 🐾❤️
Have you read any Brene Brown? I'm thinking particularly of "Daring Greatly", and she's also a psych researcher. I'm not positive it's what you're looking for, but wanted to mention it in case you find it helpful. :)
I love taking notes & making annotations, main reason I don’t like Ereaders & online textbooks. I hated online textbooks in college, never felt like I was able to process it the same way & many courses required online textbooks. F*ck Pearson Textbooks🤨
I’m hoping to read “Parable of the Sower” by Octavia Butler in the first quarter of this year. It a post apocalyptic novel of hope and terror which seems… relevant.
Act your age, Eve Brown is one of my favorite books of all time. It is such a fun romance with actually good representation.
I look forward to you coming back with the update. I heard of the Mountain is You and understand what you mean about the delusion or illusion self-help often creates or portrays. I'm gonna look into these and the Talia Hibbert book (I've only read her YA book so far very cute). I love how you tied that into this video. I love a good nonfiction read but also love my fiction too.
Talia Hibbert is the BEST! I'll have to check out her YA book.
Yup! Books play out like movies in my head, too!
I appreciate you turn to books when you’re needing direction. I think I used to be like that until I came into the video world of learning, and I need to return. Thanks!
This video and your last one really resonated with me. Excited to follow along with your Fighting Fear series!! 👊🧡
Let's do this! 💪
Immediately bought the year of yes. Thanks for the recommendation. I’m loving your videos ❤
I love the year of yes! First read it in 2017 maybe it’s time for a reread lol. Also I’ve found listening to audiobooks helps me get through them easier
I agree, a reread is always a good idea! I think audiobooks are a lifesaver!
Love this so much, I find getting lost in stories is so important.
It's so important for me. I need another reality to live in sometimes.
Its hard when I have a a sleeping 1st husband snoring away like a chainsaw 😅
😂😂😂😂😂
I'm with you! My yearly goal is always 26.
I really appreciate you being so open. I also love that you already have a plan of attack for what you're feeling and experiencing. Looking forward to the check in on this.
Thank you so much for sharing and for being vulnerable in ways that feel comfortable . This is what living authentically looks like. F*ck fear.
Love this!!!
This video was a vibe. Thank you for sharing! 💛💛💛
I remember reading Beowulf and consciously thinking, "I don't relate to this narative, but there will be a test on it so keep reading."
Thank you for your vulnerability. You have no idea how much it means. I feel seen, and I am sure others feel connected as well. Not only will it all be fine, you are gonna Shine!!! 🌟🌟🌟
I want to start a blog this year. I also feel a lot of fear about putting myself out there. So we shall see what happens.
I believe in you! It's a journey, just put one foot in front of the other.
I love your honesty. Fear is such a limiting experience I know very well too. I think we would all love to see more of the human side of you. We also appreciate the work you have been putting in. Finding your IG this year has been everything! My main objective for 2025 is to focus on letting things go more often and leaning into self-trust!
My mom, sister, & I got our apartment 10 years ago and since then we have moved in & out my older sister, my teenage niece & her boyfriend, my sister & her boyfriend from Cali, 2 of my brothers on separate occasions; and as of the last 3-4 years it’s been my 6 year old nieces & my sisters bedroom and we moved my now 21 year old niece in. So there’s 4 adults & 1 kid, plus our pets. Oh and my estranged sister & her family lives next door(she’s a Trumper🤦🏽♀️) So yeah there is definitely some chaos going on in this place lol but fr props to you for vlogging still! that’s really what’s been keeping me from posting on cam videos about indigenous issues, sharing my artwork, & live streaming. My family is wicked loud and we don’t all get along. I’m not interested in gaining a huge following, but more so being a part of a community. I’ve learned so much about other communities & cultures on TT and feel like that is what is being lost the most with its ban. I was taught to listen to the people that can speak on issues, and that’s how you begin to show solidarity. I’m gonna miss the accessibility of TT for those of us that can’t just go out & get physically involved in the issues as often. I applaud you for your continued efforts in creating these kind of spaces even on other platforms. I’ve seen so many folks give up on their communities both online & in person and it’s a hell of a time to be disheartened. I know many are standing their ground but so many are fleeing in fear, which I understand, but it’s discouraging. 😕
This was an amazing breakdown!
I’ve fallen in love with reading again. I bought a kindle Colorsoft and now I can’t get enough.
I set goal a goal of 3-4 books, each one dealing with something I like. B1. Fiction B2. Self-improvement/help B3. Non-fiction. B4. Creative/art related
That’s a great strategy! I love how you’re splitting up the genres.
Love this message. I'm on a mission to read and re-read books in my personal library, but I'm going to try to find the audiobooks to help make the trading process easier. Read or re-ead about 50 books this year. Would love to double that in 2025.
That's awesome, and audiobooks are the best for those busy days.
I needed this push! Great advice! Thanks so much! I'll use what I've been watching on tv/youtube and look for books dealing with the same. Genius idea!
I'm so glad it resonated! I'm trying to make reading feel less like a chore.
Thanks for all you do! As an educator, I truly appreciate you!
🙌🏾
💚
I appreciate this work so much thank you. As a broke student I can’t support directly but I can engage.
I hope you go on to make great things. Merry Christmas.
Happy Holidays! Let's make some great things in the new year!
And off I go to read about Europe’s engagement with the US Civil War.
I’ll choose my current book, Non-Euclidean Graffiti. It’s poetry. I don’t actually understand it. But it is certainly making me think
Here from TikTok and I’m so glad I found you over there cuz I needed this video! Thank you ❤
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I've been planning to read this series forever! I need to put it high on my series tbr for next year.
A super calming and relaxing video 🙌🏿 thank you for this
Earbud in one ear (one ear out so I can hear the kid) while I'm simultaneously doing dishes and cooking dinner... that's how I read for fun! 🤣
Thank you for this…. I really think reading books regularly should be apart of people’s daily lives in some capacity because this internet & information overload is real…. Thanks again for your inspiration and encouragement!!
I agree! Reading is a great way to escape the craziness of the internet.
@ Absolutely!
Assata. I'm still reading this book. I heard about her but i didnt know her story.
Love this idea 💙
Thanks! It's one of my favorite ways to spend an afternoon.
This was fun! I never knew something I do often had a name, body doubling. If I need to clean, I watch cleaning videos. It helps… ❤ great video
Brilliant! I will definitely follow up on these recommendations!
Read❤️
This is dope 🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿
Thank you!!
Thank you for sharing this, yes books are political! Almost everything we do is a political act one way or another. Even though I don’t directly reference politics in my content, it is political simply for existing. Love what you’re doing my friend.
