It is important to use the proper motor oil in older vehicles with a non roller valvetrain and flat tappet camshaft. There are a few options out there for oil and ZDDP zinc additives. Keeps mentioning thermal break, that's not what the vapor barrier does, the clue is in the name, vapor. The insulation deals with thermal.

I would not use lithium grease I would use a synthetic grease that does not affect plastic or rubber. Such as the grease used to grease disc brake pins.
If you have to do all that might as well just replace it
Why? If you have sediment or debris buildup, then you'll keep having this issue. At least until you address the actual problem.

I just moved into an old 1954 house. Huge uneven cracks in the garage floor. I got two quotes to either remove old concrete and install rebar and new concrete or sand down the cracks and apply apoxy. What would you recommend for a garage with large uneven cracks? Thank you!

Do you recommend using Foam board now instead of batt? Saw your latest video .
In something like a basement I would recomend foam board with a small air gap between the concrete plus the batt. In a garage, batt and vapor barrier works best. The batt fills the cavity and it will still breathe.

An air compressor is kind of a big tool to omit in the tools needed list for many people.
Can use a can of compressed air as well.
I have a retractable pergola which I had installed professionally and it is gorgeous! However it's rough to hang any lighting because obviously, the canopy is retracted.
Your whole lub approach is a dirt magnet. Cleaning is OK. Lub with dry lube with Teflon.

How do you lock a latch like that from intruders
The back side of the latch has holes that line up for a padlock. Not ideal but it makes it secure and more difficult to break into.

THIS VID IS A LIFESAVER! A side-note: Removing the faucet is unnecessary if you have a reasonably portable compressor or long enough line. I disconnected the water lines from the valves, and popped the faucet head off and blasted the line out without removing the faucet.
Anyone have an issue where it’s just not catching to open?
How did you find it with vinyl plank on it? Any clicking? What instructions after putting it down and taping it? Is this suitable for a 1978 house in cold winters? (Edmonton, Alberta)
Vinyl plank was ok as long as it has a cork/foam/cloth backing on it and the slab is reasonably flat. After it's down and the seams are taped, the flooring can go right over top. If you are installing carpet then I'd recommend fastening down any edges that are floating. I did this in one room that was carpeted. Tapcons and washers (2 per panel edge) along the outside wall where the product was floating.
