Interesting information, this is the Yashica T series alternative?🤔 The only Konica model I have is the Konica Minolta zoom 80c. But I do have a lovely Yashica T2 with the carl zeiss tessar 3.5 lens. 😊

When I had access to a full "Darkroom" and photo "Lab" I always loaded my camera in total darkness! Just to be able to squeeze every last "frame" out of my film. And many times, the "Money Shot" was one of those extra frames, thanks to my always being frugal with every 35mm cassette I loaded!

Hi! I recently got a Konica A4 and encountered the mid roll auto rewind issue. I used less than 20 shots out of 36 but suddenly the camera rewinded. I have read that it's a common bug with this model and was wondering if this issue can be resolved? Also, would be possible to still use the remaining half of my film? Thank you very much!

Very good enjoyable video with some good details on the different models but the Rollei 35 was never a rangefnder camera : you had to estimate the distance from your viewpoint. Once you get the hang of this it becomes easier. You could use a separate range finder but the accessory shoe position makes it awkward.

Good video but I have never heard a Rollei 35 make a shutter noise like that. It sounds more like a clunky old Soviet era Zenit B or E.

I have the Rollei 35S. I love this camera. I use a lens step up adaptor 30.5mm to 37mm. This enables me to use cheap ND filters from Ali Express for just a few $$$. 30.5mm filters are hard to find and much more expensive. The adaptor also works as a small lens hood and the camera still fits into the custom size Rollei case. Regards

One important thing about the battery today is if you use an Alkaline 1.5v battery, you get about 1.5 stop underexposed in the begining of his life and 1.5 stop overexposed in the end of his life. That's because the camera don't have a internal under/over-voltage regulation and is designed to use 1.35v mercury battery who no longer exist. The best bet is to use WeinCell battery who last i think 1 year and deliver constant 1.35v. Or you can just step down for one the ISO value (eg. 400->200). Similar to another comment I bought 4 LR44 batteries and they don't fit in the camera when using the cold shoe mount adapter. What batteries are you actually using in the video?

I had no idea the second little window on the back of the camera indicated whether or not you had already wound the lever to take a picture! That’s super helpful!! I can’t tell you how many times my wife or I have accidentally pulled the lever too many times and skipped a frame 😂

As far as I know the SR44 (Maxell, Varta etc.) gives 1,55V (over 145 mAh), not 1.5V (0:53). Is this relevant?

i bought this camera early in the pandemic and never got around using it bc i was scared of the delicate controls!! thanks for the video, so super helpful!!!

It seems like a useful product. However, it is not by far the smallest light meter ever (even 2 years ago). The Reveni lightmeter is the smallest. It is also just as easy to use and a bit cheaper at 2023 prices.
