I mean it is the same vehicle of that Prado, same chassis ,same everything except maybe the hydraulic system and the engine. Like what are you talking about mate ? What bothers me is how overpriced that Landcruiser is ,it is almost a hype scam tbh.

@@prathameshozarkar The Lexus is a Landcruiser with a branding for its luxuries experience + 6v engine with more power + a better hydraulic system. I mean, maybe people who never owned one of them have no clue of whats going on. Landcruiser Prado = Lexus GX Landcruiser Lc300 = Lexus LX LX is an overpriced LC300 while Prado is an overpriced landcruiser compared to GX. Regarding reliability ,it is 💩 compared to the previous versions of Landcruiser's and prados of lc200.

People are buying them. That’s why they’re going for over sticker and back ordered at dealers. They’re not for poor people that worry about mpg. People like cool things, even if it’s not sensible for most.

@@kt411gcn Honestly I dont think either one of them is cool at all actually. Both vehicles will be teathered in nothing but problems within 6 months actually or less. Big yawn here.

@@scott48 Toyota doesn’t care that you don’t like it. They were laughing all the way to the bank with the previous 4Runner, which was extremely dated and got terrible mpg, yet still sold extremely well. People were buying it for the excellent resale value, ruggedness, and Toyota reliability. Same thing will happen with the GX and Land Cruiser. If you can’t afford them or the mediocre mpg, that’s your problem.

They already do in Japan. It’s the GX 550h. It will arrive in North America early next year.

You’re not getting good mpg with a box boxy suv unless it’s ev. The land cruiser 4 cylinder hybrid achieves 20mpg avg real world, and that’s with non-trail tires.

But does it have a TTV6?

@johnrose7212 actual buttons? After test driving, both I ended up with the GX. The drive train is just better if you plan on keeping it long-term. Dealing with replacing the expensive batteries on a hybrid gets too expensive, plus all the extra electronics will be a headache. Luxury brands like BMW and Audi depreciate more but not Lexus whatsoever you still see used 98 Lexus LX470 with 300k plus miles going for 14k. Plus, GX are produced in lower numbers, so they will depreciate less.

@@plaisbois951 go to KBB and do a comparison to a GX and a 4runner, the 4runner is worth the same, even thou the GX was over 20k more to begin with,

Yeah, it's such a tough choice. A lot of times, the Lexus version is a lot nicer and more refined in terms of driving (Highlander vs RX etc.), but Toyota did a really nice job with its suspension and drivetrain here, so it's much more difficult to pick. Have you driven both? It might make more sense in person. Either way, good luck with your research and shopping.

@@internetbrandsautogroup3826 ​​⁠ I’ve owned a 5th gen 4Runner Trail new with KDSS and went to a 18 GX460 for the 3rd row. Loved both, GX much more refined. The struggle I have with the GX is the abysmal gas mileage. The hybrid is a lot more appealing for DD. I hope LX releases a hybrid version soon. I’ve driven the LC and was impressed, no GXs to try. Local dealer won’t let anyone drive one unless it’s purchased.

I ultimately went for the LC. There's lots to like with the GX though. For me, the mileage and interior layout were the main deciding factors. I like that the GX has less black plastic on the outside, the lower load floor would make loading my heavy cooler easier. That lower load floor would make the rear window tougher to use though. In my LC, I can reach through the window to the cargo floor, but just barely.

You're spending 70k on a vehicle are you really worried about an extra $500 a year in fuel cost?

@@marcmorgan3026 it’s not about the money, my friend it’s about being responsible. If the power and drive feeling is about the same, it makes no sense not to go with the hybrid. I don’t care who you are who wants to spend extra money when you don’t really need to if there’s no real advantage.

Yeah, the last one I drove was the 2020 Heritage Edition from the J200 generation. And I've also driven its sister model, the LX 570. They didn't offer the J300 here in the states, but I've also driven two LX 600s and the new Sequoia.

6 cylinder should be an option for the LC.

It's beautifully designed, the storage is crap, but the power, safety, tech and convenience features are top notch. I may revisit the 2020 Heritage Edition soon. Thanks

@@brooklyn5466 lower center of gravity, along with upgraded suspension tuning, generally speaking, improves the way vehicles handle while cornering. Vehicles like the Tremor are lifted to give them extra clearance over off-road obstacles as well as more suspension travel to dampen impacts.

Does it have the sport package with the upgraded differentials? Thos are now standard on the Core. If your 2024 has that package, you're going to get basically the same car at what I assume is a lower price. Good luck with your choice.

Correct, both the standard Lobo wheels and the optional wheels (pictured) are 19-inch wheels.
